I learned a new word...."Trumpschmerz"

The paragraph I quoted below is just a couple of days worth of his antics.  He does so much nonsense I try tuning it out.

Quote

So much for the holidays. In the quiet of Christmas and New Year’s, the President of the United States has repeatedly attacked “Crazy Nancy” Pelosi and her family, inveighed against the “bogus Impeachment Scam” and circulated the alleged name of the C.I.A. whistle-blower whose complaint triggered it, retweeted an account that described former President Barack Obama as “Satan’s Muslim Scum,” hosted the accused war criminal he recently pardoned over the objections of military leaders, and promoted a post calling himself “the best President of all time.” He even accused the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, of personally ordering Canadian television to cut a seven-second snippet of the schmaltzy Christmas movie “Home Alone 2” that features Trump, an accusation the President refused to retract, although it was quickly proven that the scene was one of many edited out as a time-saver back in 2014, long before either Trudeau or Trump was anywhere close to power.

Quote

It turns out, however, that staying away from the daily distractions of Trump has not been restorative. You can turn off the Trump show, but the nagging, unfortunate reality is that the show goes on, with or without you. The President of the United States is still out there saying crazy, mean, inappropriate things at all hours of the day and night.

From Robert Reich:

"Alert: Trump’s tweeting in the past several days has been so bizarre—including at least four accounts devoted to the Pizzagate conspiracy theory QAnon, as well as one that describes former President Obama as “Satan’s Muslim scum”—as to raise new doubts about his state of mind.

It is no longer a case of excessive narcissism or grandiosity. We’re not simply dealing with an unusually large ego, or an extremely petty and vindictive personality.

Friends, the president of the United States is seriously, frighteningly, dangerously unstable. And he’s growing more unhinged by the day.

Such a person in the Oval Office can do serious damage -- even more damage than he's already done. He could end much of the world in seven and a half seconds.

What to do? Senate Republican lapdogs won’t convict him of his impeachable offenses. The 25th amendment is almost an impossibility because he'd immediately fire any of his cabinet that invoke it.

So we are left with only one possibility: Do everything in our power to vote this man out of office. In the meantime, pray that we make it through the next 14 months."

What if your votes, in 14 months, don't count?

The Trump administration held a panel on its efforts to decriminalize homosexuality around the world, but one panelist is getting attention for his anti-LGBTQ history.

The U.S. Mission to the U.N. held a side event alongside a meeting of the U.N. Security Council last week entitled “Decriminalizing Homosexuality in Solidarity with LGBTQ People.”

Inviting a homophobe to a panel to discuss homophobic laws around the worlds in support of homosexuals is par for the course with Trump who is known for appointing the most offensive people he can find to various things.  I really almost think he does this deliberately, like appointing anti-science people to environmental policy, etc.  because he really can't be that stupid.....oh wait....

Don't forget Tweety, who Trump is really playing to: the right-wing base.

They are his solid support.

White, Evangelicals.

Do they care about the civil rights of the LGBTQ community?

Do they care about climate change?

I heard an interview with two White, Evangelical pastors on NPR late last week, early this week.

It was the same old crap they usually dole out in his defense: "No, I don't like everything he says" and "They are going after him for things he did 10 years ago."

But the pair were clear about their support of Trump.

That's Trump's pattern of incompetence and destruction.

Anti public education champion and school debt kleptocrat placed in charge of public education.  And opponent of the EPA in charge of the EPA. Vulture capitalists in charge of the treasury.  Idiots looking after our energy resources and nuclear weapons.  An authoritarian loyalist to the president transforming our justice system into a joke. An incompetent in charge of HUD, and liars installed in every corner and hallway.

The list is long.

Indeed.

It is the tactic he uses to hollow out our government and democracy.

Trump basically installs parasitic worms as department heads.

We see it at DOJ, State Department, HUD.

But again, we must ask ourselves who supports this tactic?

It simply isn't enough to condemn the moron's actions.

Those who vote for and support Trump's actions must be held accountable.

Trump plays to the audience.

When Corey Lowandoski announced he was planning to run for NH Senate seat, I predicted he would lose.

Well, the Trumpster quit, before the race even really began!

Although, in true Trumpster fashion, he insists he would have won!

Sure, Corey. Sure.

That's why you quit. You hate to win.

From CNN:

Lowandoski Drops Potential Senate Run In NH

Lewandowski.

Apologize for spelling error.

Also, I think you meant to say that he hates to lose, not that he hates to win.

No.

I meant what I wrote.

He said he would have won.

Do you really believe he dropped out of a Senate race he was convinced he would win?

Poor guy.

He has tried several times to win elected office in NH.

He couldn't even win a local treasury office.

Oh I get it.  Took a while for the sarcasm of your point that he claims he would have won but dropped out because he hates to win to sink into my brain.  DOH
