I am not a fan of Alex Azar, but he at least seems to have some qualifications for his position as Secretary of HHS, unlike Carson or  DeVos.

In my view, his biggest qualification is vicious capitalism. People suffer because of his pricing influence in the pharmaceutical industry.

Fake University

Case in point, Trump's goons created another fake university to scam millions from "students" and then deported those science and tech grad students

Goons from whose administration created this fake university?  From the article you referenced:

Quote

[...]

There were more than 600 students enrolled at the university, which was created a few years ago by federal law enforcement officials with ICE. Records filed with the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) show that the University of Farmington was incorporated in January 2016.

How is it OK to set up a sting to lure them just to deport them? ...

[...]

I agree.  However, there is no difference in thi and any number of strings employed daily by law enforcement at all levels, every day in this country.

...I think the ICE people who participated must be tried for their crimes.

Again, I agree.  I often ask this question myself.  If i created sham u diversity, for whatever reason, I would be prosecuted for fraud.  If I were to lid to law enforcement during a criminal investigation, at a minimum I would be charged with making a false statement. How is it not only allowed,, but has been ruled as acceptable by the Supreme Court that law enforcement can do these thing while conducting their investigation?

Goons from the ICE. "Paper chase" was established in 2015 and intensified efforts to deport after Trump's inauguration.  I'll just cut to the chase and remind you that I am not a fan of ICE regardless who the president is.

Reading an article in today's NY Times about iconic journalist Pete Hamill, and came across quote he wrote about Trump, in 1989, after Trump took out full-page newspaper ads calling for the death penalty for the Central Park Five.

Of course, Trump was WRONG about the young men he condemned to death, the same way he is WRONG about everything.

Here is part of Hamill's quote:

"Snarling and heartless and fraudulently tough..."

Gosh! Words describing Trump in 1989, and equally true in 2019.

Yep. The old man lacks the intellectual capacity to learn.

We know that Trump welcomes interference in US elections from Russia.

But this article's discusses how he is actually interfering in the upcoming British election.

And because he will hurt Boris Johnson, Johnson has asked him to stop.

From today's WaPo:

An Unpopular Trump Is Shadow Over Britain's General Election

Some love in Hong Kong for Trump

Quote

Thousands of protesters in Hong Kong, some draped in American flags, have staged a “Thanksgiving” rally in the heart of the city after the approval by Donald Trump of human rights legislation aimed at protecting them.

“The rationale for us having this rally is to show our gratitude and thank the US Congress and also president Trump for passing the bill,” said 23-year-old Sunny Cheung, a member of the student group that lobbied for the legislation.

“We are really grateful about that and we really appreciate the effort made by Americans who support Hong Kong, who stand with Hong Kong, who do not choose to side with Beijing,” he said, urging other countries to pass similar legislation.

Here is a good account of Trump's accomplishments his first three years.  I think one of the reasons, and I'm repeating myself, that Republican congress persons stay silent of his scandals and childish antics is that he's doing their agenda well.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/12/2/20970521/trump-administration-achievements

Their agenda apparently includes a March toward facism with the most corrupt and incompetent cabinet in the history of the country. It also includes scores of bench positions, held by Republican leadership from liberal appointments.  Some of those judges aren't even qualified beyond their misogyny and lack of judicial experience.

Then there's the long been the Republican agenda to reduce the tax rates for the wealthiest while eliminating services and spending on the poorest of We The People while busily reducing the ability of millions to vote.

In my view, the most amazing thing Trump accomplished is getting the religious right to publicly embrace a habitual liar and cheat. It's interesting to watch and hear them tell us that he is born again when not one thing about the man's public words or life reflect a love for God.  Not one thing. Seems like maybe there's some NT scripture that they need to review about what faith looks like.

It is indeed, a deplorable agenda.

It is an agenda that makes me feel embarrassment for some Americans, who actually believe such a deplorable agenda is "good" for the US.
