US President Donald Trump has given Nato leaders a dressing down over not paying enough into the military alliance. Ahead of his speech in Brussels, he was filmed apparently pushing the Montenegrin prime minister aside

Is there any hope that the upcoming G-7 meeting won't be another Trump embarrassment or catastrophe?

That's dreadful.  I one looks at Europe that was destroyed after World War II and their history of destroying one another,  America deliberately stepped up and their protector and leader so the history of them warring with each other would stop.  It worked.  Despite the Cold War buildup Europe has been peace free and even formed the European Union to stay united.

Perhaps they do need now step up.  But us paying more for defense was something we choose to do and he should be diplomatic around it rather than bully his way into it.

I wonder if he'll use any savings he get and cut military spending. He seems to want more money from Americas for the military.  That's whom he needs to be accountable to.

And he is now calling the head of China, an "enemy," too.

So, two officially on the "enemies" list.

Did I miss anyone else?

This is why it is so important to VOTE in 2020, not just for president, but down the ticket too.

If Trump happens to squeeze out a win, we must cull his enablers and apologists.

His working life should be as unpleasant as possible.

The unhinged buffoon has been running amuck in the WH for two years.

He must be stopped.

It is going to take decades to undo all of the harm he and Trumpsters have brought to this country.

Don't forget that Trump doesn't operate in a vacuum. He can only do what he does, because the underbelly of America, gives him the permission to do so.

Here is why it is going to be a tough reelection cycle for Trump:

Some PA Democrats Regret Not Voting In 2016. They Say They'll Be Sure To Cast Ballot In 2020

That's from today's WaPo.

Notice they interview some folks who voted for Trump.

It is impossible for the buffoon to win, barring Russian interference, unless he grows the pot of folks who like him.

That isn't happening.

His popularity among the mainstream has been toilet level, to toilet bowl level for two years.

Trump has never been wildly popular among the mainstream.

And I don't see his popularity suddenly swinging upwards.

His unhinged comments make him less and less palatable, with each passing day.

Trump is now employing the same "trick" he tried at midterms, unsuccessfully: The promised tax cut.

How sad that his bag of tricks is so low and predictable.

The trick didn't work in 2018, and it won't work in 2020, so buffoon tries it again!

Former Congressman and conservative talk show host, Joe Walsh, has just announced he will challenge Trump.

This is getting interesting.

The popcorn popper is ON!

What's interesting is in the bill about dealing with Japan.

Quote

The U.S. sells more than $2 billion in beef to Japan, and Lighthizer said a reduction in tariffs will “allow us to do so with lower tariffs and to compete more effectively with people” in Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) countries and Europe.

Which seems to contradict the tariff raising happy Trump administration.  Maybe that's a strategy, break them with tariffs (he threatened Japan with a 25% on autos) and then lower them to make a deal.

Varney believes that it is time for America's European allies to get on board with the President's agenda.  "Europeans are frankly scared of America. Their economies are sinking.  They've entered the fantasy land of negative interest rates. Their money is pouring over here, and they just don't know what to do.  My advice -- jump on the Trump train and quit whining about Iran and climate change," advised Varney.

A good review from Fox News about Trump's G7 performance saying he dominated the meeting.  This might be true, but as the worlds largest economy the US has pretty much dominated most summits.

I'm sure Europe doesn't care what he thinks, and I think it's ill advice to not think of the future and deal with climate change.

Trump was absent from a meeting on climate change and Amazon fires, his team saying there were other meetings, but Trump saying he was attending them later in the day even after they were over.
