Looks like the Trump Administration is helping them.  And your Senator McConnel tweeted as such the day before you posted this.

im surprised you haven’t shared this good news with us!

It seemed a no brainer they would support the coal miners, the silence for over a week to ten days was deafening.  I suppose supporting the miners would also somehow call attention to the failing coal industry which has been in decline for many years.  Clinton was at least honest about that.  Trump said he would save it.

Trump and McConnell have done nothing for the Harlan coal miners.

Nothing.

The miners are owed roughly $11 million, for their labor.

Some of the assets from the bankrupt mine, Black Jewel, were sold last week.

Some of the entities, that purchased the assets, have stated that they will pay the miners, some monies, but have not signed anything legally obliging them to do so.

Some monies.

Not all.

In the meantime, local churches, and ordinary people, have donated food, money and other necessities to the miners.

For REAL news on the miners, and their plight, check out WEKU, or the Herald Leader.

Mitch McConnell hasn't visited the miners.

Remember, poor, poor Mitch, fractured his shoulder at his Louisville home.

And the protesters have hounded him, at home.

And Trump, while at a pep rally in Cincinnati, didn't visit either.

But Democrats Amy McGrath, and Andy Breshear, visited the miners!

Oh, KY Republican Gov., Matt Bevin, the least popular governor in the nation, who supposedly loves coal, has been a no-show, too.

And let us not forget, that Mitch McConnell has so far, done nothing for miners, trying to hang on to pensions, promised to them.

He talks.

But takes no action.

It seems to be a common theme with Trump and Friends, doesn't it?

Flap the gums, but do nothing else.

From the Courier-Journal:

'I think Trump needs to show his face': Laid-Off Miners Losing Faith In Coal Promises

I guess I am not the only one who has noticed that Trump has been absent regarding the miners plight.

Oh, I do not consider Matt Bevin, Tweeting support for the miners, real support.

Big deal.

He is the Governor. He claims to love coal.

His ass should have been on that train track, with the miners.

After all, school isn't that back session yet, so he can't be insulting public school teachers.

So he has time on his hands.

From today's WaPo, something truly impressive:

Trump Tops 12,000 False Or Misleading Claims In Under 950 Days

Amazing.

The one documented thing, that Trump seems to excel at: lying.

I spent a lot of time with an 85 year old alert and oriented patient this weekend who was watching Fox News.  He asked if I watched Fox News and I said, I don't have cable and don't watch TV news (true).  He said, "at least they tell it like it is".  He went on to say "Trump has had to put up with more than any other president ever".  Me:  well there has been no other president like him.  I left it at that.

He just gives us so much to work with.  Again, it might be catty, but I know that Asian acquaintances and co-workers I have hate when American white people fake Asian accents.

Apparently Trump whining incessantly about how he is treated so badly really convinces people that he's a strong man.  Go figure.

I don't think there really is a "rock bottom" for this adminstration.

Heard about this on NPR, driving home from work, today.

Disgusting.

He is actively working to ruin the country.

Nothing "Great," going on here.

From today's WaPo:

Anger At Being Labeled Racist Is The New 'Cultural Anxiety' For Trump Supporters

Poor, poor, Trumpsters.

They align themselves with a racist, then complain and whine, when they are called racists.

It is very simple; if you don't want to be perceived as racist, don't support a racist.

Is it that difficult, a concept to grasp?

Anybody else remember Trump promising to eliminate the budget deficit?

Well, it looks like he is failing, yet again.

From CNN:

US Budget Deficit Rises 27% Through July

It seems as though, tax cuts for the rich, and tariffs on Chinese goods, have only increased the deficit, the way economists predicted, not dropped it, as Trump predicted.

Anybody surprised he was wrong?

Nah.
