Hospitalized Victims Declined Meeting with Trump

A couple of the discharged victims returned to the hospital with their families to meet with the POTUS.

Trump misrepresented this community and it's residents so badly prior to the shooting that it's not surprising that he is not well liked there. He got great images for his campaigning though.

Too bad for Trump, there is that tape, of protesters in El Paso, chanting: Send him back.

I am sure that footage will show up in his opponents campaign ads.

I expect to see lots of ads depicting the harm and division, Trump has caused this nation.

I imagine Melania's infamous statement, on a jacket, in reference to children in cages, will be used too.

So much to choose from!

How will opponent ferret it all out?

And another Trump supporter, Walks Away.

From today's WaPo:

I Can No Longer Justify Being A Part Of Trump's 'Complacent State.' So I am Resigning.

I can no longer justify being a part of Trump’s ‘Complacent State.’ So I’m resigning.

Chuck Park’s resignation from the Foreign Service is effective Thursday.

I was 26, newly married and more than a little idealistic when I set off for my first diplomatic assignment almost a decade ago as a member of the 157th class of commissioned U.S. Foreign Service officers.

According to a certain type of right-leaning conspiracy theorist, that would make me part of “The Deep State” — a shadowy government within the government that puts its own interests above the expressed wishes of the electorate. Adherents to this theory believe that thousands of federal workers like me are plotting furiously to subvert the Trump administration at every turn. Many on the left, too, hope that such a resistance is secretly working to save the nation from the worst impulses of President Trump.

They have it all wrong. Your federal bureaucracy under this president? Call it “The Complacent State” instead...

...   Over three tours abroad, I worked to spread what I believed were American values: freedom, fairness and tolerance. But more and more I found myself in a defensive stance, struggling to explain to foreign peoples the blatant contradictions at home...

...    Among my colleagues at the State Department, I have met neither the unsung hero nor the cunning villain of Deep State lore. If the resistance does exist, it should be clear by this point that it has failed...

Thanks for posting, herring.

The writer eloquently described why he felt he had no choice, but to Walk Away, from Trump.

As indeed, so many others have, too.

I wonder why Russia hasn't sponsored a fake Internet movement for this walkway phenomenon? Maybe conservatives would believe it then.

I thought it was common knowledge.  Glad I was here today to educate you.

“Mesopotamian Arabic, or Iraqi Arabic, is a continuum of mutually-intelligible varieties of Arabic native to the Mesopotamian basin of Iraq as well as spanning into Syria,[3] Iran,[3]southeastern Turkey,[4] and spoken in Iraqi diaspora communities.”

Feel free to put me back on your ignore list.  I’m sure I’m not alone in feeling that these threads are better off that way.

Not Iraqi, as you stated, but ARABIC, as baloney stated.

Glad I could educate you.

I always enjoy helping others.

Arabic

Varieties or dialects of Arabic are not the same as a specific and distinctly different language as you suggested. I'm glad that I was here to educate you.
