I don't think anyone here is trying to dismiss or negate get opinion.

What makes you want to share and elevate her opinion?

I don't elevate anyone's opinion.  I thought that was pretty clear with my posts today.

In my opinion, and the opinion of many others, that had nothing to do with the color of their skin but the content of their words and deeds.

So see . . . I'll be called racist in some places because I have a different opinion.  I'm not making excuses for Trump.  I just see this in a different way.

I have my own issues with Trump.  But let's look at the ladies he spoke about.

In other words, if you have a brown face, a black face, if you are a Muslim, or a queer you must not think for yourself or have your own opinion.  You must walk in lockstep with her.  This is one of the reasons Candace Owens was redpilled.

I prefer Dave Rubin's approach . . . let's all come to the table as ourselves and have a conversation, regardless of whether we are in agreement on everything.  That's tolerance.  Her comments are racist, in my opinion.

I like Dave Rubin's approach as well.  But I also like the idea "if you don't come to play poker, then don't come to the poker table" kind of idea as well, with the idea that you don't have to player poker my way, just be ready to play.  I don't think that's racist.  In my opinion of course.

I had to Google "red pilled".  I love learning new things.

I do not trust Candace Owens to tell the truth. In my opinion she lied to congress under oath.

This post not has her claiming to have said something she did NOT say,

She also accused my Congressman of being a racist. He is NOT. If he said or did anything racist in  the video point it out to me.

I don't agree that she was being racist. She wasn't marginalizing a group.  I think that she was saying that blacks don't need black representation that doesn't being a black voice to the table. If the black politician represents the status quo or a return to some imagined previous "greatness" it's easy to surmise that they may not be representing the best interests of the black community.

She's not saying that they can't think for themselves.  Going along with the thinking of the people in power isn't a sign of independent thinking. Yes everyone should come to the table for discussion, she's not silencing anyone.  She's encouraging activism.

An example of an attitude that requires lock step acceptance is one which insists you must leave the country if you disagree.  An example of racism is such an attitude expressed exclusively toward people of color.

I do not read Pressley's words as saying that you should not be yourself, but just the opposite. That you should stay authentic and use your experiences.

I am white, but I growing up I absorbed the message that as a female that certain behaviors were expected and others were discouraged. I remember when Title IX required that woman's sports be funded and we were so indoctrinated to believe that we didn't deserve new equipment and the opportunity to play sports, because somehow the boys deserved the good stuff. I support persons of color and non-Christians to speak up and do what they can to make our country better for everyone.

As for the whole liberal label, I think this is semantics and language evolves. If Ms. Owens wants to call herself and her ilk classic liberals, whatever. That whole group seems to revel in labels.

Ah, I see someone took away the "dislike" on my post.  Well, that's good so thanks.

The video was posted, as noted in the link, on Kimberly Klacik's Twitter with permission of Michelle and of course then it goes viral so I'm pretty sure it is ok to share here.

Why in the world is it so hard to maybe take a deep breath and have a conversation and look at what some other folks are saying?

What other folks are saying, is that Jared Kushner, Trump's SIL, is a direct contributor, to Baltimore's problem, of rodent infestation.

He should pay apologize, pay his fines, and clean up his property.

That is what responsible people do.

Wow.

Mitch McConnell has held a cook out for us Kentuckians.

Such a bad man!

No need to watch video that would make it seems just a tiny bit okay, for the occupant of the WH, who is supposed to represent ALL Americans to attack an Amercican city, or yet, ANOTHER minority member of Congress, who disagrees with him.

And of course, there is another reason why Trump targets Cummings, and that is because he is Chairman of a powerful House committee, that has been holding Trump accountable.

And we all know he doesn't like to be challenged.

There is NO other side to listen to.

These kinds of attacks are never justified.

And this video is just the kind I would expect the right-wing to produce, and by produce, I mean production values; product.

Ahh. They never left me down.

But today, what we're talking about is a community in which half of the people don't have jobs. We're talking about a community in which there are hundreds of buildings that are uninhabitable. We’re talking about a community where kids are unable to go to schools that are decent.”

Was Sanders disparaging a city as an insult to a congressman or politician like Trump was? Doesn't that level of negative commentary about the country mean that the individual is to go back to some mysterious place? Should Trump go back to Germany?

“Trumps about to execute a white supremacist, while trying to free a black rapper from jail, as he pushes prison reform that directly benefits families of black men, while calling out a city where minorities are victims of crime & blight. if Trumps a racist, he sucks at it.”

It is NOT OK to tell American citizens, especially a Member of Congress to go back to where they came from.

It is NOT OK to call PEOPLE an "infestation". An infestation is a takeover by vermin, rodents, and insects. When there is an infestation it is usually exterminated. We must NOT exterminate people!

We should NOT have to listen to the President of the United States say hateful untrue words about his fellow Americans, about ANY of OUR cities, or claim people who disagree with him are not human.

We should NOT have to be told by OUR President that he loves, admires, and is great friends with murderous dictators and world leaders who want to destroy OUR Democratic Republic.

We should NOT have a president who has told so many lies that he cannot be trusted.

I am afraid for OUR country.
