A third of the voting population is so ready to point fingers at others for so-called moral failings (Joe Biden's touchiness, Beto O'Rourke's alleged alcohol issues, and don't forget, Hilary's emails!), when they worship the most amoral leader this country has ever seen.  I guess they can be bought by the few extra dollars in their paychecks and their hatred stirred by all those brown people who are swarming across the border to ruin America.  A fish rots from the head down.

I think supporters like Trump because he is willing to do their dirty deeds, dirt cheap (to borrow a line from AC/DC).

There can be no denying it.

Republicans have a good alternative to Trump, in William Weld, yet they continue to cling to Trump.

Why?

Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap.

Be that as it may, I'm not arguing the opinion of the writer.  I was addressing the claim that the article was a “perfect summation of the Trump presidency”.

Its simply raw fish for a circus troupe of clapping seals.

In your opinion.

Of course, that is exactly what Limbaugh, Hannity, or a wide variety of other right wing celebrity pundits represent if the same standardsize are applied, raw fish mongers for a circus trope of clapping seals. I guess I'm not certain what the objection is if you aren't going to argue the veracity of his opinion. This current president and his propaganda outlets are proficient at throwing fish to their seals.

A “summation” of his presidency?  Not a mention of one thing he’s done, for better or worse.

This is simply one man’s opinion of Trump’s character flaws of which you agree with, compared with a few cherry-picked, finest moments of past presidents.

This one man, btw, considered by some  to be one of the most partisan political commentators there is. https://reason.com/2012/05/01/todays-worst-partisan-political-columnis

I have to agree with you.  The writer doesn't sum up anything other than his pure distain for the man.  Anyone here could have written such a trashy opinion.

It speaks to the character, or the lack thereof, of the current occupant of the oval office.  Yes, it was an opinion piece, but I don't think it was trashy. It was honest.  Many of us have nothing but pure disdain for Trump.  We come by it honestly, as a result of his words and deeds.  I have a difficult time thinking of anything positive he has done out of concern for the country or Americans.  It's all about thinking he's "winning".  Let's be clear-it's all about him and lining his own pockets.  He's an embarrassment to this country and I have no problem calling him out on that.

And the Trumpster seals are quite proficient at catching that raw fish!

Ouch!

Further circumstantial evidence that the Trump organization not only loves illegal immigrants, but also cheats these folks too.

The NY Attorney General is investing Trump enterprises for illegalities.

From today's Washington Post:

At Trump Golf Courses, Undocumented Employees Said They Were Sometimes Told To Work Extra Hours Without Pay.

Anybody surprised by the accusations?

I didn't think so.

Why on earth do Trumpsters believe Trump doesn't support illegal immigrants?

He has them stashed everywhere; from his bedroom to his hotels to his golf courses.

Everywhere.

Opinion, yes.

Trashy, no.

The writer aptly described Trump.

I have written many times that I was no fan of George W. Bush.

But he didn't constantly make me ashamed to be American, and I did refer to him as president.

Trump, has no redeemable qualities, and I merely refer to him as the occupant of the WH.

I would describe cock roaches or black mold, the same way, if found in the WH.

I've heard that Trump's lies, and false information and made up stuff is now at about 10,000.

I don't know about that, but this one was a real humdinger.

"The baby is born.  The mother meets with the doctor. They take care of the baby. They wrap the baby beautifully, and then the doctor and the mother determine whether or not they will execute the baby. I don’t think so.”

Oh, the hypocrisy of Trump!

Let's see.

How many people did the Saudis execute, a little bit ago?

Trump was silent as his business partners in the kingdom, killed scores of adults, for protesting the government.

Yep. He is a clown.

So proud of 2019 Kentucky Teacher of The Year, for boycotting dog and pony show held at WH for winners of the honor.

Her reasons for not attending, are spot-on.

Fantastic.

The Teacher of The Year from Minnesota also declined to attend, because of Trump policies.

Well, well.

It looks like another Trump pick for Federal Reserve Board had bitten the dust.

Stephen Moore is OUT, as with Herman Cain, there just isn't support for a deadbeat dad and misogynist.

Seems that White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was telling the truth when she claimed President Trump discussed the Mueller report with Putin.  He Tweeted it was a "Witch Hunt" and "Russian Hoax"

It should frighten us all that the president refuses to believe the truth. Or just as bad, lies about OUR nations security.

Trump and Putin discussed outcome of Mueller probe as part of hour-long phone conversation, White House says

May 3 at 1:39 PM

President Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin by phone for more than an hour Friday about topics including the outcome of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s investigation into Russia’s 2016 election interference, the White House said.

The two touched “very, very briefly” on Mueller’s findings, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters...

Trump later tweeted about the call, referring to the Muller investigation as the “Russian Hoax.”

“As I have always said, long before the Witch Hunt started, getting along with Russia, China, and everyone is a good thing, not a bad thing,” he wrote. “We discussed Trade, Venezuela, Ukraine, North Korea, Nuclear Arms Control and even the ‘Russian Hoax.’ Very productive talk!...

I doubt that we will be blessed with a transcript of this conversation from the opacity of the Trump administration.  We will have to depend upon the word of known liars.
