I read that there would not be primaries in 4 states so far what is going on with the democracy? This completely absurd and I have no idea why the media and other politicians are silent.

The media is covering it.  However,  most aren't mentioning how incumbents at times don't have to face primary challengers.

There were Democrat primaries cancelled in 2012.  I believe Tweety references this on another post a few weeks ago.

I don't think that was me.  But if Obama was the only one on the ticket then why bother with a Primary and that doesn't bother me.

I do think it's a bit pre-mature to cancel Republican primaries as it's a little less than a year away and there do seem to be some challengers to Trump stepping up.

Although it's pretty much understood that Trump will be the Republican nominee.

I believe it was Chare.

And yes, it would make sense if Trump was unchallenged.

But of course, he has at least three challengers on the Republican side.

I read today, that Justin Amash is contemplating running against Trump as a third-party candidate.

I hope he does!
