The Republican Congressperson from Florida that states that he really "loves this President" is following his example, not stopping to think of what the rules of professional behavior might include.

He's more than likely loving this publicity and going to use it as a stepping stone to something better.  Of course he's banking on Trump's continued popularity among the his base.  So far so good.

This was back in August before he lead the storm against the impeachment meetings (that were following the rules).

Quote

In a letter sent to Gaetz, the Florida Bar did not formally discipline the congressman, but did reiterate that Gaetz’s actions were “not consistent with the high standards of our profession, and in light of the public nature of your comments, your actions do not reflect favorably on you as a member of The Florida Bar.”

Matt Gaetz appears to be a mini Trump. A white male whose father has enough money and connections in the community that he's not ever held accountable for his DUIs or other bad behavior. I bet he's a real nice guy.

I think of him, the way I do Trump; a dangerous JOKE.

Speaking of Gaetz, whom is getting a lot of attention, he thinks that Democrats should be defending Katie Hill and not focusing on the fact she broke the House Rules.

I'm sympathetic to the humiliation and inappropriateness of "revenge porn" being published by the media and she was done dirty in that respect.  I'm also pretty lax and liberal in issues of sexuality.   However, if someone broke the rules of their job description and gets fired or held accountable for that, then that's just the way it goes.

It seems to be Gaetz's method of operation "well, so what if people break the rules"

Republicans sent boxes to tell Democrats to "get packing" after impeachment vote.  Too funny.

But the response is pretty epic as well.

Quote

Following the stunt, Democrats announced that they will be using the boxes to fill with food for those in need during the holidays, writing, “We’d be happy to use those boxes so that our staff can run a Thanksgiving food drive and turn your hilarious prank into a force for good.”

I read about the stunt in the WaPo, yesterday.

Capitol police were called.

Stunts.

It seems like they are the only things Republicans are capable of these days.

Such a shame!

Good for Democrats, to turn the stunt, into something useful.

Rep. Paul Gosar shares fake image of Obama with Iranian president.  I suppose it's an honest mistake if you're not. paying attention.  But really it's quite easy to see it's fake when you look at their hands.  It's not a good photo shop job.

What's the point of bringing up Obama anyway?  Oh yeah, to distract from Trump.  Old tired technique.

I saw that yesterday in the WaPo.

This GOP lawmaker has a history of lying, and other deplorable behavior.

Isn't it pathetic that Republicans stoop so low?

Apparently these political leaders have their constituents fully indoctrinated to accept any and all corruption as long as it's "conservatives" that are using BS and propaganda trying to hurt liberals. The blind acceptance and gullibility is frightening.

I'm not convinced that outright genocide would shake or influence the core of this cult. I hope we don't find out.

What's pathetic and somewhat disturbing is that these people are helping run the country.

His response?

Quote

To the dim witted reporters like @dmedin11: no one said this wasn’t photoshopped. No one said the president of Iran was dead. No one said Obama met with Rouhani in person.
The tweet says: “the world is a better place without either of them in power”

So in order to make a point about those two that we're better off without them in power, he deliberately uses a misleading photoshopped picture to make his point.  For a party that thinks all news coming from the left is fake, they sure love to spread fake news.

It is simply further proof that Trumpsterism is nothing more than a cult.

If you continue to elect lawmakers that routinely spread lies and disinformation, you are a cult member.

Rationale thinking people don't want their elected officials to lie and spread misinformation.

ALL of the right wing rhetoric about fake news is authoritarian projection. Every single word. When you hear a GOP politician say those words you should interpret it as nothing but projection...accusing others of doing exactly what you are engaged in.

It is so obvious it's absurd.
