I understand the criticism surrounding Anita Hill.

But again, I look at a candidate's overall record on women's issues.

Trump's record is dismissal.

In fact, it is hostile towards women.

From today's Washington Post:

Trump: Congress Needs To 'Get Rid Of The Whole Asylum System'

Trump is visiting border town today, and is now calling for the dismantling of US laws.

This should alarm all Patriots.

He went further in saying: "And frankly, we should get rid of judges."

I am going to assume, and this is an assumption because who knows what goes on in his feeble mind, that he is referring to immigration judges.

Yes. US law allows migrants to seek asylum and have a hearing with a judge.

Trump is a depost, who needs to be ousted in 2020.

You taught me well.  You called it "tit for tat". I'm so careful.

The debate tactic you dislike so much is to toss a red herring into the discussion to detract from the subject.

Yeah but Trump . . .

Excusing Biden because Trump did it . . . is not a good excuse.  Or bringing Trump into the discussion about whether Biden, himself, alone is responsible for behavior that I find appalling . . . is a red herring.

I haven't posted in a long time in the political threads but going back in time, I have criticized Trump for things he has said or done.

I agree with you.

I understand when talking about Biden it's unfair to point out why you're not talking about Trump and I'll have to disagree with that idea.

From Vanity Fair:

"There's No Brain Trust": Post-Barr, Trump Is Waking Up To A World Of Pain

His 2020 campaign is in chaos, much like his administration, and apparently, his polling numbers with women, are horrible.

I know. Such a surprise!!! 😝

I guess that is why the Right keeps on Joe Biden.

But women have had more than two years of watching Trump behave in the most deplorable ways, and as we saw in the midterms, Independents and moderate Republicans have left the building.

California Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday he was planning to send eight criminal referrals to Attorney General William Barr as soon as this week.

Nunes, who investigated accusations of FBI and Department of Justice abuse while he was previously chairman of the intelligence panel, did not say who he would be referring in a Fox News interview on Sunday.

Should be interesting.

Maybe he sent them. Sometimes what is says is misconstrued, in my opinion.

He has his own news site.    http://www.carepublican.com/

Devin Nunes created his own alternative news site:

Quote

Embattled California congressman finds a way to bypass the mainstream media.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a relentless critic of the media, has found a way around the often unflattering coverage of his role in the Trump-Russia investigation — by operating his own partisan news outlet.

Resembling a local, conservative news site, “The California Republican” is classified on Facebook as a “media/news company” and claims to deliver “the best of US, California, and Central Valley news, sports, and analysis.”

But the website is paid for by Nunes’ campaign committee, according to small print at the bottom of the site. Leading the home page most recently: a photograph of Nunes over the headline, “Understanding the process behind #ReleaseTheMemo .”

Rep. Ilhan Omar, called Trump puppet master, Stephen Miller, a White Nationalist yesterday.

She is, of course, right in her assessment of Miller.

The immigration policies he has spirited through Trump, demonstrate his White Nationalist leanings.

How did the GOP respond?

By calling Omar's remarks "anti-Semitic."

How the right loves to throw that line around, just days after their party leader quoted lines used by Nazis, at a gathering of Jews.

If Republicans want to remain a viable political entity in the future, they need to step-away, and completely revamp what the party stands for.

As Whites become the minority, in the near future, White Nationalists will remain, but they won't have the political clout, or numbers to carry out their agenda.

I guess that is why the push is onto stack the courts, shut down borders and keep asylum seekers out.

An analysis piece from today's Washington Post, featuring the current darling of the right: Candace Owens.

Most Americans Disagree With Candace Owens: They See Hateful Rhetoric On The Rise

Ms Owens testified before a House Judicary Committee.

She also made a curious comment about Nationalism.

She told one Democrat on the committee, that Hitler wasn't a Nationalist, because a Nationalist wouldn't kill his own countrymen.

Where did Ms Owens receive her education?

Trump University?

Interesting reading, given that Ms Owens has no problem playing victim, when it means she can collect some coins.

It is also interesting reading because there was a 17% rise in the number of hate crimes reported to the FBI in 2017, relative to 2016.

Ms Owens clearly lives in a different reality from most of us.

Right, she lives in Trumplandia.

I don't know why you were impressed.

She didn't know what she was talking about.

And again, she is not above playing victim, when it means coins in her pocket.

She has no credibility.

The Congressman played her like a fiddle when he played that tape of her stupid remarks on Hitler and Nationalism.

She looked like an idiot.

She was caught in a rat trap, by an Asian member of Congress.

So Candace couldn't pull out her "victim" card, as she has done in the past.

The look on her face, when her own words came back at her was indeed priceless.

She claimed the oldest excuse in the book: quote taken out of context.

Not very original.

But then, she was caught in the trap.

She rocked!!

And the Asian member of Congress had egg on his face.
