You are reading page 19 of The Caravan. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

I'm not sure where you're getting that I would think that anyone "should just be allowed to flock over without proper paperwork"? Are you under the impression that without deploying the military to the border, that's what happens?

No. But are you saying you agree they should have legal documents to provide as I said? I dare you to agree with me ...

I guess there are places along the border that they do just that. Many have been caught trying but apparently many others get through. How can we explain millions of undocumented people already here?

I do think that the timing, right before the election is suspicious and it's overkill. But obviously he's sold the idea on his supporters who have a great fear of illegal immigrants and a great anger at them getting through.

This poster seems to think that without the military 10,000 people are just going to keep on marching right on in and liberals want exactly that. Of course they did it to Mexico.

You make no point here. First you say there's no "historical precedent." Then you say "what happened in the recent past when caravans have arrived?"

My point is that you are chasing shadows.

There have been caravans in the past.

They're hasn't been violence, chaos, and invasion level disregard for our laws or border because of the caravans.

Where is your evidence or credible reporting that there is something significantly different this time?

Were my point and question more evident to you now?

The "legal documents" required to apply for asylum is the I-589, which is obtained from the US government on arrival to the US. Part of their asylum application hearing may include documentation from their country of origin, although these aren't considered "legal documents" in the US.

The significant difference is that Trump is in office. Although it's been bubbling for a long time. For whatever reason illegal immigration is pretty close to the top of the list for a lot of people. Remember the caravans of youth and how when transported to holding facilities they were met with protests of "not in my town...go out!" It's been bubbling under for a long time.

Now they have an ally in the White House.

Also note we're not talking about Ivanka's potentially illegal emails anymore.

Ann Coulter is suggesting that Trump should invade Mexico. I can't cut and paste on my phone, but search "Coulter invade Mexico" ... plenty of citations available.

Nothing like a good war to take our minds off our troubles!

Thanks, herring! My first thought on hearing about all this was all the warnings I've been reading about Trump becoming more dangerous as the walls close in on him.

And we gave him the football.

She recently released a new book, so we can expect her to do her typical thing of making outrageous statements to get headlines and attention and money in her pocket. It's her MO
