Gee, I wonder how dirt poor Hondurans afforded a bus to travel over 1000 miles from Mexico City to Tijuana?

Does it imply something sinister to you or is it difficult to imagine that sympathetic people might make charitable contributions when they take a moment to hear their stories? Your question seemed disingenuous, as if you know some secret.

Tucker Carlson probably said George Soros paid for bus fare.

It has been widely reported that many local folks have donated shoes, food, etc. to the migrants.

Probably Laura Ingram is suggesting Democrats swooped in with bus tickets.

$69.52 can buy a bus ticket from Mexico City to Tijuana

It is dangerous for any gay person in Central America.

Also being gay can be dangerous in Mexico

How much spending money would be needed walking from Mexico City to Tijuana?

I don't know, but it seems the trucks giving rides seem not to help gay people. Perhaps they saved money so they can try to have a decent life.

These are NOT invaders. They rented aplace to live in TJ and plan to wait in line at the border until they can begin the asylum application process.

Gay men are often targeted by robbers, with gangs even specializing in this type of crime.

Killings and violence against LGBT people in Central America are driving hundreds to flee their homes each year, but they have no safe sanctuary to run to, Amnesty International said on Monday.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are being forced to leave El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala to escape "epidemic levels of violence" and threats by criminal gangs and security forces, the rights group said in a report.

"People are facing vicious discrimination in Central America due to their gender identities, and have absolutely nowhere to run for safety," Erika Guevara-Rosas, Americas director at Amnesty International said in a statement.

"Terrorized at home, and abused while trying to seek sanctuary abroad, they are now some of the most vulnerable refugees in the Americas."...

... "We were discriminated against, even in the caravan," said Erick Dubon, 23, from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, who has been traveling with his boyfriend, Pedro Nehemias, 22. "People wouldn't let us into trucks, they made us get in the back of the line for showers, they would call us ugly names."...

Ami Horowitz: The Truth Behind the Caravan - YouTube

What's so interesting about that clip?

Care to spell it out?

I wish you'd stop insulting our critical thinking skills by posting links like these.

As I'm Swedish I was already aware of this filmmaker before you posted the link to a more recent endeavour of his.

Ami Horowitz - Wikipedia

He released a so called documentary in 2016 about immigration and crime in Sweden. Many of the statements in his film seem to have been described as false by fact checkers as well as by Swedish authorities, news outlets and criminologists. The following are articles from Swedish media that cover some of the reporting on the documentary.

He filmed the police interview for Ami Horowitz that Trump saw: The material was not edited ethically - DN.SE

Swedish police featured in Fox News segment: Filmmaker is a madman - DN.SE

Six claims and facts about Sweden: a closer look at Ami Horowitz' report - The Local

As far as I understand the articles I've just read, the two policemen that were interviewed have said that the film had been edited so that their answer to a certain question the filmmaler asks, are in fact replies to a different question. So they are asked question A and they replied B. They're then asked question C and they reply D. Only according to them, the documentary shows the filmmaker asking question A, directly followed by reply D.

The police's version of events appears to have been corroborated by the two cameramen hired for the filming of the documetary. One of them has reviewed the raw footage to make sure that his recollection was accurate.

I never watched the "Swedish crime" documentary myself, but I'm guessing this is the same filmmaker as the one in your clip?? Please let me know if I'm wrong.

Now to the YouTube clip you linked.

There's a taped phone conversation/interview between 4:07 and 4:55. The woman he's interviewing doesn't even seem to be answering the questions we're hearing in the clip. To me the conversation sounds off and that yeah followed by laughter at the end, could be the response to anything. Perhaps it's only me who doesn't think the dialogue "flows naturally", I don't know.

At 5:14 he says that at the base camp there's a mobile hospital stocked with enough pharmaceutical drugs to make Keith Richards blush. At the same time the camera shows a table stacked with various medications in boxes. The quality of the film is rather poor but the ones I can make out are Metronidazol, something called Bistatin-F and what looks like Indomethacin. There's also a Diclo???? something or other. Yeah, I bet they'd excite the **** out of Keith Richards.

This is followed by him saying there's also plenty of doctors and nurses attending to all the migrant's needs. Imagine that... Doctors and nurses tending to people with medical needs. The world really is going to hell in a handbasket.

One of my favorite parts... Directly after this at 5:25 the camera shows him standing in front of a man who may be Hispanic and who may or may not be a member of the "caravan", and he says the following to Hispanic-looking man; America also has very generous benefits for people who live in America, is that something you want to take advantage of as well?

Then directly after that the camera shifts to showing ONLY the Hispanic-looking male in the picture frame giving a short reply, and all of a sudden a gigantic concrete pillar has materialized behind the man... (It's magic, I tell you). That pillar WAS NOT THERE when the man was asked the question a second before (well, a second before on the clip at least.. :sarcastic:)

There are more instances in the clip where we see people (who knows who they are, how can we possibly verify who they are?) answering questions, when we don't hear the question being asked before the replies (for example 6:46 - 7:06). How can we be certain what they're giving responses to?

SC_RNDude, do you think we're stupid?

Please be a bit more critical of your sources.

Remind me again, what did you find interesting about this clip?

What do you think it shows/proves?

Hello... Is anybody there...? Has the caravan gone home?

More likely it has served it's purpose as a talking point and deflection for Trump and now you can forget about it after the midterms.

Never mind, another caravan or similar will be along in 2020.

The main point about the caravan is the Republicans are going to try during their lame duck session while they control the government is to fund their wall.

Continue to stroke our fears of this caravan and illegal persons and they will find a way to keep Trump's promise the one that he hasn't kept and the one his fans chant "build that wall" over and over to this day. They still love him not matter what but he needs this wall before re-election time for him and no better time than now.

The wouldn't fund Obama's 10 billion a year for community college education but by golly a 30 billion wall is necessary.

I think the point SCRNDude was making is that somebody is funding the migrants. It is a very organized effort to get these people here (to US). I have seen other video's as well that show the migrants saying they are coming to US because they want a job, to finish school, because they have a right to come to America because we should not have borders, because they are bringing their sick relatives for medical care etc. The group that is assisting them (Pueblo Sin Fronteras, or "People Without Borders) states on there website that they have been doing this for 15 years and the reason is because they want to "build solidarity bridges among people and turn down border walls imposed by greed". Nobody has been able to find out who is funding this organization (I wonder why not).

So, most Americans ( contrary to what you may hear on the news) do not care about these people coming and do want to help. If they are not seeking asylum (which some have stated) then they don't have a right to enter immediately. Personally I would not care if they all came if there were stipulations to their entering. I would like to know who is funding this and why. We also need to be able to have proper vetting because even some of the migrants have complained about criminals and harassment.

I also wish that the Gov (both parties) would get off their behinds and do the job they are supposed to do, which is fix the illegal immigration problem. We simply cannot have people coming in this way, we have laws/rules and everyone should follow those. If we have no rules, laws, borders, I can only imagine the chaos. It doesn't do any good for politicains, news people, or others to simply scream racist because others have a different opinion about how immigration issues should be handled. I would think that all Americans would want some answers to this as it does affect all Americans.

Why is it so troubling to conservatives that other people might be compassionate and charitable enough to help these unfortunate travelers?

We actually can and should allow people to present themselves at our border with requests for asylum or immigration entry. That is what our country has always done as an expression of our supposed values.

Again, Melania Trump didn't follow the rules.

Should she be stripped of citizenship, and sent to the back of the line for breaking the rules?

Yes, somebody funded her: DJT.

The problem with this particular funding is that they don't seem to be doing it for compassionate reasons. They are telling all these "unfortunate travelers" that they will be allowed to come into the US. The organizers know this is not true, you don't get in because of the reasons which the migrants are stating. This is a long, hard and unsafe trek for these people. It is not troubling that people are compassionate, it is troubling the way this organization is working.

My White grandparents came from Canada to Chicago on a train with their sons in 1926. They filled out no forms and stood in no lines to come to the USA.

They were fortunate to rent an apartment upstairs from a Kosher Deli where my Daddy and his brother were welcomed by their Jewish neighbors into school as the only Christians in the schools.

After Pearl Harbor their boys joined the service and my grandparents easily and with a minimum of red tape became US citizens in early 1943. No birth certificate was required even though my grandmother had been born in Europe as were my grandfather's parents.

My Dad and his brother became citizens the day they joined the military. His brother was shot down over Italy and died. Weeks after his death a letter to his parents arrived in the mail.

As far as needing immigration reform, I agree. There was a comprehensive, bipartisan bill, "The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act of 2013" passed by the Senate, but was never brought to vote in the House. You will have to ask the Republican speaker of the house why that never happened.

But forcefully separating children from their parents and locking them in cages is not the answer. Spending hundreds of millions of dollars to send US troops to Texas, while immigrants are showing up at the California border is not the answer. Unfortunately, the current administration seems intent on using force and cruelty to solve a complicated issue. I suggest a good step would be to appoint an ambassador to Mexico.
