You are reading page 4 of The Breakroom Squares!. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Has nobody noticed that The Cartoonist of this site, up at the top of page 3, has Ronny Raygun calling his wife "Pat" instead of Nancy?

Speaking of whining, I once had a supervisor who had the unfortunate last name of Whiner. And boy, did she ever!

My Aunt grew in a small unofficial farming community with 9 farms, 2 churches, 1 school, and an 8' X 5' Rural Route Postal Box and package drop off building with a padlocked door. (mostly for Sears catalogs and packages).

People from there whined to the extreme.

They came to visit us camping at a California beach when my cousin was four. He pulled at my aunt's skirt saying, "I waaaant a draaaayaannk of waaaaaaater."

My aunt answered, "Waayal do ya hayafta whaaaaahne about it?"

Living just outside town my cousins accent became typical Oklahoma as they started school.

The oldest lost even that except for visits home after he finished college, joined to Air Force, and moved to California.

I moved with my parents to California just before 7th grade. I revert when in Oklahoma. The first time I visited with my husband he asked, "Why are you talking like that?"

I said, "This is where I learned to talk. My Mom used to talk like this too,"

He and my Mom loved each other. He called her, "Mom"

She said she felt like she finally had a son after raising girls (I was the first to marry)
