How so? This eugenics thing is used to try to invalidate everything PP does, claiming they're still trying to wipe out black folks.

Not apples and oranges at all. Both individuals held opinions consistent with prevailing social ideas of their time. Both individuals were leaders of major social revolutions: Sanger in reproductive freedom, Jefferson in political freedom.

So, does Jefferson's sexual abuse of his slave invalidate the Declaration of Independence, the Revolution or the Constitution?

I would never be so conceited as to pretend to know every woman's personal situation and that the decision for them to abort would be wrong. Especially if I was of a gender that couldn't bear children.

The unholy huddle

In June 2013 a 26-year-old administrative assistant named Sarah Ewart married her long-term boyfriend in Belfast. Soon she was pregnant. At 19 weeks, 'for a bit of fun”, she and her husband, Jason, paid for a scan so that they could see the baby. Instead, the sonographer sent them straight to the Ulster Hospital, where a consultant told them that their baby – a girl – had anencephaly, meaning she had no skull or brain. She would die either in the womb or within minutes of being born, and it would be a difficult and dan*gerous birth.

Raviepoo, thank you for posting this. You have said what I have been trying to put into words for years. You have given me the strength to say yes, I have had an abortion and I gave no regrets. I'm thankful the procedure was available for me.

I knew by age ten that I did not want children I wanted a career. I also knew that I would make a poor parent because of my dislike of children. Like you if it was not for having an abortion I would be still be waiting tables or doing factory work trying to make it all come together, everyday. Despite being diagnosed with ms I have it all together and don't have to worry everyday how I'm going to make it all work. I have worked hard I am proud how I have helped others and that I still have more to offer.

Many thanks, for giving me the words and strength that I have been trying to compose for years.

Lillian Tamayo, the CEO of Planned Parenthood of South, East and North Florida, told NPR that Miami-Dade County has the state's largest population of people without health coverage, which leaves these residents particularly vulnerable to Zika. "More than one-third of Florida does not have an OB-GYN," she said. "It also is among the worst states in the country for women's health and women's well-being. And it has staggering infection rates for sexually transmitted diseases. And now we have Zika."

Family planning is a key part of the Planned Parenthood message. The organization is also distributing Zika prevention kits, including condoms and mosquito repellent, to pregnant women at its health centers.

Dr.Christopher Estes, the group's chief medical officer, said Planned Parenthood decided it could best augment the state and federal response by doing outreach in areas where government health workers haven't been active — neighborhoods surrounding the zones of local Zika transmission.

Thank you PP
