Morning

Funny, how when a birthday finally comes it's almost an anticlimax

Tweety that sounds like nice weather

Stars that was nice of your neighbor to do that for you

NJ22 juncos and chickadees are common here in the winter.  Saw a few towhees earlier in the year

Amo glad the blood draw went well

Was outside again yesterday but didn't see many birds.  Ordered Chinese and rested in the  afternoon, as I was feeling the effects of the booster.  Had some coffee and acetaminophen to help deal with the symptoms so J and I could go to my nephew's play. He did very well, the best production so far, but at 3 hours it was too long for me as I was still fairly tired, and the drive is an hour.

Today should be quiet, have church in the morning and lunch with J this afternoon. Will find time for a crock pot recipe and some laundry.  Might get outside if the rain holds off

Happy Birthday Joe!  Hope you have a good day.

Stars, that's nice of your neighbors to cook for you.  I can't imagine the myth of the tracking device is still out there.  But like you I wouldn't care, it's not like I'm a criminal or international spy.

Amo, I don't really know my parents anniversary date.  They never seemed to make a big deal about it.  I know the number of years because they were married in April and my brother was born in August (yep, scandalous) and he's 64 so they've been married 64 years.

J22, hope that you had a good day shopping with your daughter.  Congrats on the new dishwasher.  I will get a new one when I eventually remodel my kitchen before I retire, just so it's there when I eventually sell the house but I've always washed by hand and haven't used it in years.  But there's just me.

I had a cheat and lazy day yesterday.  I went to the Vegan Feast and ate vegan junk food, a hot dog, chips, a Cuban sandwich, and a donut.  It was shorts weather and lots of people showed up.  Long lines for the food.  They could have used some more food trucks.  The donut was to die for.  I was so full and sleepy I was done for the day and took a long nap.  I wasn't hungry until about 8pm when I went and got some Chinese takeout.

Ran into an old coworker/friend at the Chinese takeout place.  He said he had covid during this last surge and gained weight during his quarantine.  Lost his taste and smell.  He's remodeling his kitchen and said the same thing about it taking weeks to get them delivered.

Happy Birthday Joe!!!

Hey! Small world! Found out I have a whole slew of cousins I never knew! A familiar first cousin on my Dad's side is down in Florida - bought a summer home there couple years ago and is now 'vacationing' doing some remodeling. Well, he went out to walk his dog and met a brand new neighbor just moved in. He recognized new cousin's last name (MY grandfather's ethnic name).

A little chit-chat and new cousin & old cousin knew same NJ hometown. Old cousin could relay only limited info but the two seriously suspected cousinship with my side. Old cousin checked with my sister & me, and the relationship sounds FOR REAL.

Now all I need to do is touch base with new cousin to flesh out cousinship family details. New cousin's Dad would have been my Mom's first cousin. As family, we never 'got together', but I knew about his Dad's existence. Whole boatload of cousins poss!    wOOt! wOOt! Will need to inform my cousins I DO know.

Joe~Oh NO! 😧 I forgot to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you when you mentioned it a few posts ago and you said was coming up.  🎼🎶 😺 Meow-meow-meow-meow to you! 🎂🎊 (I bet you didn't know I know how to sing in cat-language!) Hope this will be an exceptionally good year for you!

amoLu~ I have, um, one (f)cousin, and then there were two others (m) who passed away a long time ago....Not sure my female cousin's still alive. I haven't emailed w/ her in about 7 or 8 years. She sent me a long email, and then I emailed her back ...and that's the last I heard of her. I've sent a few emails since then, but, no answers, so, I dunno. She was sick w/ a lot of health problems that developed after a severe car wreck many years ago. There are relatives in Finland, from my father's side, as my Nana came from a large family, but I don't know any of them. Mom was an only child whose mother died when mom was 12 years old. She had two step-mothers, but no children came from those marriages. In fact, her second step-mother was two years younger than she was and had three kids already. Those kids were kind of wild and crazy and we did have some socialization with them on occasion, through the years, but they've all passed as well.

Tweety, The neighbors seem to be cooking for nearly the whole neighborhood and some of their family members, and friends and co-workers and kids and kids' friends...I mean, a WHOLE BUNCH of people! It's a 'drop-by-and-get-a-plate meal', so no obligation to hang out and chit-chat....for which I am THANKFUL!

Gettin' on time to go upstairs and go to bed to read for a while. Almost through with a Karin Slaughter novel, so I'll have to see about getting something else to read. Hate it that the library is still restricted. Maybe when I go look for shoes, I'll go by the tiny little Books-a-Million store.  I remember when that company first opened stores, they were all as huge as WalMart, and now, this store I'm talking about is the size of one of those little boutique shops....ie, SMALL! But they always have a rack of books out front that are way marked down, and I'm sure I can find something-or-two there....
