Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, whether your children have skin, fur, feathers, or scales.

I managed to get moving yesterday and got a lot done.  I set up my vertical gardening system on my deck, but only planted lettuce as we are expecting cold weather this week.  We mulched several beds and I went for a 3 mile walk.  Both DD and DS stopped by, which was lovely.  DD stayed over night and brought me beautiful flowers and a baseball cap that she hand embroidered with fruit and flowers.  She does beautiful work. My sister came by later in the afternoon and we went plant shopping, which is an annual event for us.  Today I will go see my mother.  DS will meet me there, along with both of my sisters.  I will try to get to the gym before I go.  It's pouring rain, so a walk is off the books for this morning.

Hope all have a good day!

Morning BC

Happy Mothers Day

Busy yesterday for me.  Meeting with the environmental group, then lunch with dad, then cooking.  End of the day was pretty calm, watched Bride of Frankenstein on Svengoolie

Will not be a busy day for me today.  J is still struggling with allergy symptoms/cold symptoms and we won't be getting together today.  So I'll just have the usual church and choir

Cold and rainy day yesterday, will also be cold with no rain today.  Weather should improve after today and become more spring like

BC, saw you lurking and decided to wait to see if you were going to post.  Happy Mother's Day!

Joe, hope J gets past his allergies and feels better soon.

Have much of the first part of the day free today.  Going to hot yoga this afternoon.  Will visit best friend and bring him some groceries he requested and help around the house and have dinner.  We may have to order take out if the restaurant near his condo that we can wheelchair to is full with Mother's Day celebrants.  The owners are Greek and they have good Greek food..yum.

Yesterday just laid low and mowed the grass and managed a 3 mile job-walk and just stayed home otherwise watching YouTube vids of the "guess that song" variety.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there, including Nel who takes good care of her babies.

Happy Mother's Day all,

We had a good time in Seattle, but it is changing so much. The vibe used to be very laid back, and now it seems very intense, it that makes any sense. The one thing I always notice is the level of professionalism in service workers. Where I live a lot of servers act as if you are bothering them, but in Seattle they act like they really care about what you want to order, or if you enjoyed your food.

Meeting dd for breakfast, and then this evening eldest ds is having us over for a bbq. My stress test is tomorrow, so I am really going to enjoy this morning's coffee, as I am not suppose to have any from 9:30 on until tomorrow after the test.

Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.

I didn't get called out.  That means the patient was comfortable and that means a lot to me.

We will probably take fixins' for bbq-ing hamburgers out to the ranch to celebrate today.  We shall see.

The weather got warm yesterday afternoon and my mom-in-law had to leave her great-grandkid's baseball team as she felt too warm, was red in the face, weak.  Still working our way through this Parkinson's diagnosis so taking it a day at a time.  My son's team made playoffs which start here on Tuesday.  If they win that one, we head to a local CC for the next game.  Mom-in-law wants to go so we have to be prepared.

You ALL have a great day and hope Dianah is feeling better.

Happy Mother's Day

We will meet at daughter-in-law's grandmothers care facility. I don't know whether theere is a reservation for a place to eat after that or not. Either way Moms will be with our kids.

Good morning!  Happy Mother's Day to all!

Feeling better, yes, after taking it easy yesterday.

Dh and I, on our separate laptops, ended up reading the same article about the man who crossed the Atlantic in a barrel!  https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/he-crossed-the-atlantic-in-a-barrel-we-asked-about-dodging-ships-and-using-la-toilette/ar-AABb6rB?ocid=spartanntp#image=AABb6rB_1|1

We are getting ready to go walk around Disneyland for the day.  Have a lunch reservation.  We do not have reservations for the new area, Galaxy's Edge (Star Wars-themed) so will not be going in there.  Reservations are required for the first month after it opened, then we are on our own, I guess!

Looks like a sunny day out, no gloom.  We will have dinner with oldest ds on Monday night, that works better for both our schedules.

Have a good day!

Happy Mom's Day to all the Mother-People out there!

It's a gray, warm, windy day. Hubby is mowing the lawn before the rain starts. Paper said 'flooding t-storms' for today.

Nannie wanted her lawn mowed more than she wanted to get dressed and go eat at a restaurant for a M's-D meal, so that's what she's getting! That and being able to schlump in the recliner in her PJ's and robe, with Pippy sleeping and snoring in her lap. So if THAT'S what makes Nannie happy....we can handle it!

I will ride out in a short while and pick up a to-go order from the seafood restaurant she has been going to for years... from which she DOESN'T ever get any seafood! Go figure. "Just get me a loaded baked potato, a salad and sweet tea." Okay, I can do that.

Ballgame is on at 4 PM. w00t!

Happy Mother's Day, to all.

Such a personal, and sweet gift from your daughter, BC.

Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Kudos to Tweety on the 3-mile walk. That is a good distance.

Best wishes on your stress test, nursej.

Remember, Stars, summons up that inner Scarlett!!!

I had a patient last night, tell me I am a caring person. I looked her in the eye, and said: No, I am not.

She replied: Yes, you are.

Looked her in the eye again, and said: I really am not.

I think because I took my time with her, and explained everything I did, before I did it, she thought I was caring.

But that is just the job of a nurse.

She told me she wanted to take me home.

I told her that would entail bringing a long a white, Persian cat.

She laughed and said: I love Persians. I had one!

Poor thing, fell down 13 steps, BACKWARDS. She is lucky not to be paralyzed.

She is a lovely patient.

I had a patient fall, in the bathroom, with the tech at 0600.

It took three of us to get her up off the floor, as she is morbidly obese, and really didn't help, even though she wasn't injured.

My back is sore.

I called in tonight. Mentally, I need a break from the place.

We didn't take fixin's to the ranch.

We took mom-in-law to a park next to a creek where she has fond memories, along with sandwiches and other picnic food.

It was a lovely day.  Explored the chalk cave, ate good food, talked about a lot of things.

I came across this video and it fits nicely for today.
