Good Morning!

Ted, I personally would not cancel my trip to Italy quarantine or not.  I am concerned what quarantine nurses and staff when patient inevitably start exposes nurses is going to do to staffing when they are quarantine, and what's the compensation going to be.  To me it's a worker's compensation issue.  Or like FEMA that pays us during the 50 hours we're in the hospital during a direct strike.  Time will tell. In the meantime enjoy!

BC, so disappointing the cats aren't getting along.  Hope it works out.

I thought I locked myself out of my house and made best friend come over and unlock the door for me (he and my sister have keys) only to find them in my trunk when I was leaving work yesterday.  DOH.

Thankfully the dreadful patient was discharged.  Our tech called in sick and they couldn't replace her and I had an assignment and was in charge.  Several times social workers and docs ask "whose in charge today" and I said "me but not me, don't ask questions".

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning Tweety and all who follow.

One word: insomnia.

Earlier in the evening I did get to watch Adam's Rib, on the old movie channel.  Romantic comedy with Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn.  Very well done.

well will try again to sleep.

Tweety glad that patient is discharged

Dianah hope you get some sleep tonight

Feeling a bit tired, went to bed at a good time but my body had gotten used to waking up while there was some light out.

Choir and church and meeting J for brunch today

Yesterday was productive, with cooking and exercise and embroidery done.  Stopped at the arboretum gift shop to find something to spend some of the bonus on

Will be quite warm today, up to 60, will try and get outside if possible

Good afternoon ~

I went to bed at 2 AM and got up at the 'new' 11 AM. Hubby slept until 12:30 PM, and Nannie is not up yet. I had a quiet hour and 1/2 sitting in the sun on the front porch, reading the Sunday paper while Ozzie dozed in the sun at my feet.

Too bad so much of the news in the paper was disgusting, as usual. "The Big City" near here has offered beau coup $$$$ to a construction company to pay for a huge complex to be build near downtown, which was supposed to include x # of units for affordable housing ... but guess what? They "can't afford" to build the affordable housing, though they plan on a huge parking facility plus offices, retail stores, condo/apartments, etc. The paper said the city needs something like 35,000 units of affordable housing, but what they had 'planned' is just a drop in the bucket, and gee/gosh, so sorry but.... that part of the complex plan is now KAPUT!  Pppffttt!

The rest of the news was National Politics and the Coronovirus, and ex MI and CIA spies hired by the former CEO of Blackwater to infiltrate the Democratic Party with cameras, recorders, etc, to undermine their election plans. And then there was a woman who needed dental work, who got an estimate for the procedure(s), which her church said they would help her by paying the $3,000 needed, but by the time it was all done, she was charged $1300+ and then they sicced the collections agency on her. Ain't the world getting lovlier by the minute???

No more news; it's too depressing, and it makes me very p.o.'d!

Oops! The "$1300" quoted above was supposed to read $13,000+. The word 'zero' might mean nothing, but in that case the difference of a zero left out and added back, it meant a whole lot more!

Good morning, I sound like a bull frog this morning, which is usually a signal that I am nearly over my cough. I had a lovely dinner with my 3 kids last night at a very popular Italian place. They don't take reservations, and youngest and myself waiting 25 minutes in the rain for a table, but it was well worth it. I had a delicious chicken piccata , dd had spinach gnocchi, youngest had pasta with chicken and shiitake mushrooms, and eldest had pasta with homemade sausage and basil. I was stuffed and content.

I have been misplacing my keys and phone a lot lately, but practicing more mindfulness has helped. I tend to try to and think about multiple things at once, and I end up not really thinking or remembering anything. The New York Times is running a daily tip for being healthier and it talks about mindfulness a lot.

Wishing all of us a recuperative day and good health!

We had a little rain last night with more expected starting tomorrow.

It is sunny now.

I hope all of us can rest as much as needed.

Afternoon all! I hate time changes. Until I crawled out of bed today, it was already almost 2pm!

I intensely dislike daylight savings time changes.

I dislike time change days because I have difficulty reprogramming all my clocks. Have 2 really nice ones with that AUTO- change chip in them. But that fearture  must have just come out when I bought mine.

If y'all remember, there was some change a few years ago when gov't changed time changes to different hours.  Like to provide a different of time window for whatever reason. My clocks were 'programmed' to the old time windows, not the newer ones. So in essence, I have to change my clocks TWICE. Grrrrrrr!

March Madness is getting in full swing. Just LOOOOOOVE collegiate championship basketball!

YAY! I found some more of Nannie's missing pajama bottoms! She had 3 of 'em rolled up in a pillow case that was wrapped up in a pastel, knitted baby blanket! Guess it was done during one of her "I'm packing to go home" moments she has nearly every day between 4 and 6 PM.

🤣Who'd think that finding 3 pair of pj bottoms would be the high point of my day? 🤣🎶 ...  < please note: I did not click the music notes, they just showed up piggy-back on the 😂-guy! It must be an omen; a sign; a stuttering finger...

What a hoot!!!!
