Ow yer all goin, mates? [Translate Sabby]

All good here. i am off to the big smoke tomorrow for a fortnight. Usual stuff. Annoy kids, put hand in pocket and extract money etc. Also have to see eye and ear specialists. My eyesight has improved and with Macular Disease that is remarkable.

The ribs are still exscreechyatingly painful. HAHA spellchecker, gotcha!

There is no quick fix for costochronitis although they are a bit better. If no marked improvement, cortisone is next then surgery. At least it takes my attention away from Paget which continues whittling away in the background.

My engines are all playing up so today have to take Tom over and give him the rundown on them. New one not here yet GRRRRR.

Two cyclones brewing on the East coast. One could make it over here. I guess all of you are sick of snow by now, so send me some please. Can't wait 'till August when I go over East and see it for the first time.Best go catch up with Tom.

Hooroo. See yer all 'round the ridges.:wavey:

Hooroo yourself, Michael, and all who stop by

if I understand correctly, you're going to see Annie and the ferals. What a great name that would be for a band! I hope they don't rob you blind and all of your appointments go smoothly. I'm glad the ribs are a bit better. It can take a long time for that to clear up. I wish Mr. Paget and your engines would behave. Enough already! There is nothing I would like better than to send you some snow. I still have about 6 inches in my yard, and it is just ugly and dirty now. It was warm today, but melting is slow. I drove around with my sunroof open, and the seat heaters on. Talk about wasteful! But it felt so good......

Long day today in Urgent Care. Lots of serious illnesses, a few silly ones, and then there was the dogsitting. A patient called to be seen and was told to go to the ER due to the nature of her symptoms. She disregarded this direction, hopped on the subway with her little dog, and showed up at our door. We had to transport her to the ER, but she had no one to take her dog, so the dog stayed with us for a while until one of her relatives came to pick it up. It was a cute little mutt and was no trouble. I shared my lunch with her and she was very appreciative. I wish we could have pets at work everyday.

Time to go read in bed and settle in for the night. Safe travels, Michael!

Yes, well BC. Annie's married surname is Nix so I always reckoned if they formed a band it would be

the Nixie Chicks. Howdy, Davey

Morning. . .

It's 4:45 AM (EST). Should be 3:45 AM (EST). Someone explain to me, AGAIN, why we shove the freakin' clock forward an hour.

Michael - Costochrondritiis. Ouch! Mr. Paget hidden with the discomfort. :( Regarding the snow. It's white. It's cold. It can be pretty. It will inflame costochrondritis (sp??) after shoveling it around. Spending time with the kids: Priceless. :)

Davey Do - Love the singing clock! :) (Really love listening to Gordon Lightfoot. Been enjoying his tunes for decades. :) )

Should be sleeping. Instead, wide awake. Still kind of pumped from yesterday afternoon's and evening's time at work. Found out that the outcome was not good. (Two years until their 50th anniversary. UGH! :( :( )

Nixie Chicks: Definitely a cool name for a band. It would be a knock-off to the Dixie Chicks, though. (Never got into their music. I like the progressive rock band, Dixie Dregs, though!)

Cheers. . .

Ted

Good Morning Michael, BC, Herring, Nursefrances, Davey, Ted and all who pop in,

My you lot have been chatty eh? :yeah:

G'day Michael, I am sorry that you have to put up with so much pain, that breaks my heart for you. Good news on the peepers though. Hope you have a great time away from home while visiting and getting different body parts checked out. Take some time out for yourself as well ok? I have been watching the weather that Australia has been enduring, kind of like here so diverse at the moment. Thanks for kicking us off today.

I am so with Ted on losing this hour, they really just need to leave it alone and do DLS in winter time only. Does not make a lot of sense to me!

We had an awesome day yesterday although we can hardly move this morning.

Went hiking with the dogs, did a lot of jogging with them as they wanted to run more than usual the l'il buggers! :D Still we had a nice time and the dogs were so good. Ran by the grocery store and gardening store before heading home. Once home we put the groceries away and went up to a wonderful place to look at rock and mulch.

Inside the store they had all sorts of antique furniture and knick knacks, we found two swivel back bar stools which we fell in love with so we left with those and a dump truck full of red mulch that they delivered yesterday afternoon.

Bar stools are solid oak and look wonderful at the kitchen bar, what a steal we got on those and the mulch, they gave us an awesome discount as they knew we both work in hospice. Wonderful Christian people, I could have stayed in that store all day but hubby started to get nervous when I was eyeing off an antique mirror that would look awesome in a log home. LOL :sarcastic: We can always go back though!! hehehe

Once home we started on the side of the house, put down weed mat then hubby did the edging and for the next 3 1/2 hours we shoveled mulch. Finally got that big side done, hubby bought 3 1/2 cut barrels and put down the side so I can fill up with dirt and put some Purdy flowers in those.

We could barely keep our eyes open last night so we cheated, got a pizza, ate and dragged our tired bones off to bed for a much needed sleep.

Today we shall go hiking again with the boys then once home we will decide if we are going to do the other side and back gardens against the house. I think we can get those knocked out quickly as they are less than half the size of the other side but we shall see how the muscles are feeling by then.

Still we had a great day and worked well, we high fived each other when it was done because it looks beautiful and the dogs appreciate the mulch to lay on. LOL

Ted thank you for assisting at work yesterday, so sad about the lady who is septic, does not sound hopeful for her but know you all did what you could to stabilize her. Thank you and the rest of us nurses for the work we do in any given situation or type of nursing. It is true Nurses ROCK. :inlove:

Well my friends I am going to get off here, grab another cup of tea and snuggle down to rest until Mr Sun comes up and we prepare to head off slogging with the dogs, although today it may be a less strenuous trail for us but not the dogs. LOL :woot:

Hope you all have a most excellent and happy Sunday.

Much love to you all.

PS- off to listen to Gordon Lightfoot videos on my computer- love that man. :singing:

Hope you get that new engine in Michael

Sorry to hear about your patient Ted

Morning BC Herring NF Davey Sabby

Glad I decided not to stay up and watch all of "The Raven" last night, given that we have to set the clocks ahead. I've seen it before anyway.

Didn't do a whole lot yesterday, some chores and some shopping and my CEUs. Stopped by dad's to water the plants and such. Tried to get outside but the place I chose had such a heavy snowpack walking was difficult. Quite cold and windy too.

Today I'm off to the city to meet a friend for brunch. Hope I don't have too much of a struggle with parking. Will try to get outside again today, hopefully somewhere where the snow isn't so deep. Should be a fairly quiet day.

Odd, with all the drama at work I've been expecting Mr. Migraine, but though I had some warning signs last night nothing so far...

Good day all. Michael, glad you get some time with the ferals. I call them the Grands. I know I want to see them more than I do and I suspect the same with you even if they are a bit like squirrels taking crumbs from a pocket. you fill the pockets for them. Good to hear about the eyes. I know there is so much work being done for MD, hope it continues to improve.

Gordon Lightfoot said time was in a bottle. I am sending Ted and Davey to look for that bottle. While they are busy looking I shall get my bottle of wine out and not miss that time.

Our snow is about gone. We still have a bit of snirt but forecast includes the s word, again. I find dirty snow (snirt) so depressing. It comes down so beautiful, clean and bright. Then it disintegrates into nastiness.

Yesterday was my second long day and I was wiped by the end of it. Actually I felt whipped. I was alone with things I had not been taught yet. We have had many people ill and yesterday was the boss's turn. A couple of my other co-workers were hacking all over me. Good thing, knock on wood, that my immune system has kicked up a notch.

Lounging today. No plans until later in the day. I might head over to see DS and the grands. If Michael and I put our DGC together they could be Ferals and the Grands, just another thought for a band.

Joe, I guess you have lots of snow still? Have fun in the city.

Hi to the NE folks. I need to get going so will leave it at that for BC and Ted, and Liddle, if she is reading.

Have a wonderful day.
