Morning

Trip to the Arboretum was nice, though I had to cut it short due to a developing migraine.  Thankfully it faded not long after I got home.  Did see a few birds there.  After I felt better I went to the farmer's market and got some jams

Rest of the day I did some chopping for cooking today, worked on needlepoint, and watched some Three Stooges and Svengoolie

Today will have church via Zoom.  Am up early and have am easy recipe so I may get the cooking done before church.

Weather is nice, so I may go for a bike ride if I get the bike back from the shop today

Good Morning -

Joe - Migraines are no fun. It's good that the headache didn't last long so that you could enjoy the rest of the day. Enjoy today with the nice weather.

Been up since around 4:30 AM (EST) putting the finishing touches to the composition. It's finished. I need to put it aside for a while and come back to it with a fresh ear. The music is good enough to start putting pictures and videos to it, though.

It looks like it's going to be a lovely day today. Think I'll mow the lawn on the lower end of our property that's along side the road. Might go for a short hike in the afternoon. Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be nice day, too. Amy and I hope to take our canoe out on one of those days, and hike on the other day.

I flew the drone out early this morning in hopes to video-record a near full-moon. There's no zoom function to the drone's camera, unfortunately. So, the video didn't come out as expected. (By the way, I haven't named the drone, yet. I'm thinking about calling it "The Precious".  Amy rolled her eyes on that one.) 😄

Hope all have a nice day today. Cheers! 🙂

Good morning!

Joe glad the migraine didn't stick around but sorry it interrupted your day.

Ted, you need a more cool name than "The Precious", something more technogeeky is in order.

As I said yesterday was somewhat of a wasted day.  Today, I'm meeting a couple I haven't seen since pre-lock down for lunch and I think going to an antique mall or something.  One is older and has stayed home pretty much 24/7 since March and his much younger husband has been working from home.

It rained quite a bit today and the air is thick with humidity today and more rain coming I think.

I'm a lefty too!  Hopelessly left handed.  Not much I do right handed.  I've never mastered the art of eating British/German style with the knife in your dominant hand and fork in the non-dominant hand.  I only use my left.  At least people know which computer I have at work since the mouse is on the left.

Have a great day!

Lefties unite! I have learned to do somethings with my right, like use scissors, and i can eat with both hands, 😂. I use to switch mouse hands, especially when I broke my wrist once.

I fell asleep early and woke up early. I have been getting headaches almost every evening and just going to bed seems to help. We had a nice drive yesterday, but I forgot to bring a leash, so we didn't walk much. There were some pretty spectacular cloud formations moving across the sky and they were so pretty against the brilliant blue sky. There was a relatively large demonstration locally, but we didn't attend. There have reportedly been some white supremacists walking about with weapons, but there were no disturbances reported. We are a predominately white community, with some shameful episodes of racism in our history.

Our local diner is open so youngest ds and I are going to breakfast soon.

Ted, a co-worker got a desk cam that sits on a stand and it looks a like a round silver ball and she named it Sputnik. Looking forward to you video.

Joe, your arboretum visit sounded nice while it lasted. Do you keep a list of the birds you've seen? When one of my kids was little I helped him with an assignment to see as many different kinds as he could. I was amazed at our diversity here.

Just finished my first cup of coffee, and and going to walk the dog before breakfast.

Great day all.

I do keep a list of the more unusual birds I see

Yesterday it was an eastern bluebird and an indigo bunting.  Now that I've started birdwatching again I'm starting to realize that indigo buntings are more common than I had realized

Hello! Not much going on. Staying home, but lots of phone calls. Since I didn't get to the store it is REALLY the day today. Hope there is no line, but need to shop anyway.

My left handed aunt was  great seamstress. She made the girls dresses, boys shirts, and grandma's dresses. She made wedding and bridesmaids dresses. She uses regular scissors with her left hand cutting toward her. It looked awkward, but she was accurate and fast.

Hello all!

Our oldest son is a leftie.  But he plays baseball and guitar right-handed.  I am right-handed and have learned to use a computer mouse from the left.  Using my left hand relieves the carpal tunnel in my right hand.  And an added bonus is, I can write and be on the computer simultaneously.

Ugh, I heard every hour chime on the living room clock, till I finally fell asleep after 5!  Will try and be busy today, to tire out so I will sleep well tonight.

Anyone have suggestions for naming Ted's drone?

Have a good day!

Ted's drone looks like something from those cheapie Japanese monster horror films.

Being a lefty, I use a knife in my left hand, but the fork in my right. So I never have to put the utensils down. I use a spoon in either hand, but I seem to mostly prefer my left. With the fork in my right, and the spoon in my left, I have to be careful so I don't 'shovel food' with both hands at the same time!!! I know when I cook, I use big utensils in my left.

I had an 'unofficial hypothesis' when I worked hospital. I believed more ICU nurses were righties, but CCU nurses were more lefties. Just an informal observation back in the day. I'd be curious about any real differences.

For interesting reading, I suggest y'all read Wikipedia for 'handeness'. There's really 4 types. It was cool to esp read about sports figures advantage depending ...

I'm a rightie, and so are both my kids, but my son bats and plays golf lefty.  Fiance is a leftie.

I had a productive day at home.  I cleaned the bathrooms, planted 2 rosebushes, edged the front flower beds, and vacuumed the pool.  Now it's couch time with a book.  Today is cloudy and cool.  I'm glad I got my beach time in yesterday.

Joe-I've never seen an indigo bunting.  I don't think they're that common in my area.  We have tons of wild turkeys.  My next door neighbor has a "pet" turkey.  It's a female that likes to hang around in her yard.

Ted-I agree with Amy on the drone name, although I don't have any better ideas.  Have fun canoeing tomorrow!

Tweety-Glad you were able to get together with friends.

Herring-I hope there was no line at the store.

J22-Sorry to hear about the headaches.  I hope they go away.  Hope you had a good breakfast!

Amo-I didn't know there were 4 types of handedness.  I thought it was just right, left, or ambidextrous.  I'll have to check out the Wikipedia article.

Dianah-Hope tonight brings a restful sleep.

Take care all.

I golf, and throw with my left, but bowl with my right. When I used to figure skate, I favored my left foot.

Mothra?
