Good Morning!

Yesterday was not bad.  Decent staffing and people behaving.  We got the usual shift change admission which set me a little behind.  Could have left exactly on time but noooo......

Hope everyone has a great day.

BC hope you can rest and recover.

Morning Tweety

Yesterday was fairly quiet.  Did cooking in the morning. Went to a meeting of the environmental group.  Did not do lunch with dad...he decided with the wintry weather to stay home.  With the snow and rain I mostly stayed home in the evening too, did some cleaning and exercised

Choir and church this morning, not sure how many will be there with the snow we got last night.  Supposed to meet I for brunch, he forgot to call last night so I'm hoping our plans are still on

Got my embroidery kit, have begun reading the directions

Some snow on the ground, will be in the 30s the next few days

Good afternoon!

I finally feel human again.  The congestion is improved and I'm barely coughing anymore.  I went for a 3 mile walk this AM.  It is a ridiculous 68 degrees here today.  It will be back to reality tomorrow at 35 degrees for a high.  Fiance has 3 2nd interviews this week for jobs.  Please say a prayer, cross your fingers, or send good vibes that he gets at least 1 offer.  Chances are, he'll have to go through 3rd or 4th interviews before they decide yay or nay.

Tweety-Glad you had a decent day yesterday.  Hope today brings the same, with an on time exit.

Joe-Hope you and J were able to connect for brunch.

I hope all are enjoying their day today.

Good Afternoon.

We are having late Spring weather....upper 60's and lower 70's, and occ. wind gusts. It rained like crazy last night and the wind was pretty strong, too. Temps are going to remain nice, and some rain is predicted for each of the next 3 or 4 days. We haven't gotten any of the severe weather that has been reported. It has mostly been South of us (Alabama in particular), and Eastern Tennessee, then heading toward the North and coastal areas. I can't help but wonder if the wintery weather will hit us in Feb/Mar, and maybe even April ... I do remember 14-18 inches of snow in April, one year, but that was in the mountains. I think there might be a weather bubble around where we live!

No voluntary blindness for Nannie, so far today. 😎  However, she does ask questions about "that boy" that she thinks is here frequently. I tell her it wasn't "that boy" who did this or that, it's her oldest son, who is 69 years old. But I guess hubby must be two people, too. His younger image in Nannie's mind, and the current man who she gets confused with her brother, her father, and her husband. And she STILL tells ME I look "just like that other girl."

Hubby is out purchasing Her Majesty's pull-ups and pads at the store. Ozzie went back to bed right after we went out to the end of the driveway for the newspaper this morning. Guess he finds the peace and quiet of our room preferable to hanging out in the den with 'that lady' who squeaks baby-talk at him. Who wouldn't?!

I was thinking last night, after seeing a TV ad for the new Jumanji movie, that Dwayne Johnson would be the perfect Nannie-sitter! 🤣 He would be big enough to stop her in her tracks if she were to do one of her No-no's, like going upstairs, or trying to run away. The other day when she was preaching at us, she was saying she wasn't afraid of us, and she wasn't afraid of ANYTHING. Last night she was afraid a tree would fall on the house, or someone would break in to rob her...hubby and I looked at each other, because, like, what does she have that is valuable enough to want to steal? Not a dern thing. There were a few other fears she expressed, too. She is one of those "Worst-Case-Scenario" worriers, about things that MIGHT occur. I told her that she could keep sitting there wringing her hands over 'maybes' but she'd probably be wasting her time, and then what? Hubby said , THEN she would find something else to fret about.

One day, some day, my life's situations won't be smothered by Nannie Stories. Ah, won't it be nice?

Weather can't make up its mind, here. It was windy and mild this morning. It has since rained, and snowed and rained again, and cooled off. It was 45 degrees while I was walking home from breakfast at the local diner, and now its 36. Been decluttering the house, planning travel, and half-listening to the football game. Our team is on next. Earl the squirrel and his entire family are cleaning up under the bird feeders, while the chickadees, finches, and juncos toss the seed down to them. There are a couple of towhees down on the ground too, doing their little backward scoots. The hummers, zoomers as I call them, are zooming. The weather is predicted to get down to the 20s tomorrow. Brr.

Those humming-zoomers must be some kind of tough little birds to winter through up there! Amazing!
