Good morning fans and fiends!

hope you have a great day!

my DS is all moved up, settled in nicely in my efficiency apt. and car and wallet... haha...

welllllll not so settled, we are having the talk. I barely get by W/O him here so it's time for him to face reality. Have to say tho he does think he has a job and he does have a friend lined up to move in with. We'll see how it goes :)

Work is going all right; I am starting to have some nursing stirrings (UH OH) - for those who don't know I have severely burnt out on nursing a number of times and this last time almost kilt me. So it is dangerous I think for me to be getting nostalgic and eyeballing the many ads for nurses I am seeing. sigh... once a nurse as they say.

Well have a good sunday. I went to sleep about 12:30 and woke up at 3:30 (aching from working I guess). Took a hot shower and some ASA, and by mistake took my tylenol way ahead of schedule w/ my AM meds (I usually take the tylenol at hs and upon awakening but as you see above that's only 3 hrs. Whoops...

having a cuppa, would you like some?

xo

Good Morning Liddle and all who pop in,

Glad to read your son is all settled and I pray this job situation works out well for him. Hope you have a lovely day dahhhlink.

Great day yesterday, hubby put the blinds and valances up in the living area, we love the kinda rustic/ cottage appearance and could not be happier. Shall get a pic up soon enough.

We took the boys for a hike after this but it was so cold and windy we did not manage to go as far as we wanted to before turning back. Gawd it was brutal but today it is going to be warmer so we will take them for a hike up the mountain.

Cooked some yummy chicken/ shrimp stir fry with authentic Chinese ingredients, tossed in some rice noodles and that stuff was to die for. The veggies were absolutely delish with a great flavor. I am thinking of doing beef and broccoli for hubby tonight.

Hubby surprised me with this awesome juicer so I am going to the store today to get some yummy veggies and fruits, we are planning on having juice each morning to kick start our day and our bodies so I am really looking forward to that.

After that I am going to relax, play a game, some hair and maintenance stuff before a nice afternoon nap.

We watched a couple of good movies last night after our Jacuzzi time and had a very sweet time together. Simple pleasures but we sure do enjoy it.

Davey have a wonderful vacation and enjoy yourselves.

Much love to you all this day. :)

Good morning, ladies. And, for the rest of the gang who might be sleeping in or at the coffee pot waiting for that first cup to be ready.

Seems like all I do is report our nasty weather here. sorry. I got most of the laundry done yesterday and went shopping for my neighbor. While there I got stocked up on cleaning products for me. It seems like all my cleaning stuff is about to the last dregs, all at once. So now - no excuses about why I can't clean. Can't promise that I will clean, but I have only this week to get the place ready for our little SuperBowl party. I have not come up with the menu for the party. Probably wings for the Seahawks. Not sure what to represent the Broncos. Maybe hoagies. I make great hoagies and never bother to make them for just me. I am taking all ideas, if you care to share.

Well, BC will be home soon. She will be tan, as will her DD. Davey is on his way to the natural tanning place, also. I was chatting via computer with my niece and want to get up to see them. I may take one of my friends with me. His upbringing is so different, and he really wants to see the mountains that I keep talking about. I will wait until closer to spring. I got my order in for their "Tree Juice" brand of maple syrup. If you get the chance, check out their facebook. This is not an ad for them. They sell shares and sell out early each year. So even if you wanted some, it might be too late. They have great pictures of making syrup so if you don't know the story of making yummy stuff, look at it as an educational look.

I see Ted is here also. Good morning, Ted.

Have a great Sunday.

Good morning! Sitting here in my kitchen with the electric heater at my feet and on my second cup of coffee.

My right elbow tendinitis flared up from the yard work I did yesterday even though I was wearing the brace. But I'm glad I went out and worked in the yard. We can't burn though - there hasn't been a burn day for awhile due to the dry conditions. I've got lots of branches and yard clippings to burn but will have to wait.

Davey - enjoy the break from work and time with your dear wife. BC - hoping you had a lovely time.

aky - I've only done one SuperBowl party and it was with another couple and their two kids. They came over after church and I just didn't have enough planned to keep everyone busy until the game started at 3. If I ever have another party I'll invite folks over when the game starts! My husband loves that queso dip and tortilla chips (so great for a diabetic  ).

Ro*Tel® Famous Queso Dip - Recipes - RO*TEL

We have a birthday party to attend after church for my sis-in-law out at the ranch. Nothing else planned.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Morning Liddle Sabby AKY steph

 Have spent the majority of this morning trying to figure out why I got a huge phone bill. Looks like when I changed services my last bill got mistakenly sent to my old account rather than my new account. No customer service on Sundays so I'm heading out to my local AT&T store to see if I can get it straightened out. Having some problems accessing the information for the new account so I'll have to see about that too.

Not much else planned for today. Some cooking later, like to take Sundays easier, particularly in the afternoon.

Saw a friend yesterday for brunch, hadn't seen him in at least two months. Stopped at some used bookstores too. Didn't see dad this weekend as he's out of town.

Still quite cold here with lots of snow. I think I'm getting a bit depressed by that, being inside so much. I think I was outside more last winter.

Oh Joe I had the greatest experience in our local AT&T store! I went in for a new case for my phone and the young lady behind the counter said "come over and let's look at your plan!". AT&T is changing to compete with the other phone companies and my new service is way cheaper, plus I got more wireless (HotSpot) GB's. I've gone over the last two months (my boys watching snowmobile videos at the holidays) and she also got $40 taken off both months so I have a credit.

This is a small-town store with folks we know. She has been the sheep leader for 4-H for about 10 years and worked with both my daughter and now my son. So, small town living can be a good thing.

I hope the folks in your AT&T store help you out the same way mine did!!

Good morning Ted, NurseFrances, Steph, Liddle, Sabby, AKY, Joe and all who will visit today.

We are going to my sister's house today. DH will be the only guy so it will be unusual---no one yelling at the TV ball game. :sarcastic:

Good Afternoon -

It's 2:04 PM (EST) here. Just got back from church. Currently drinking Second Coffee (of the day). Had our annual church meeting today. It was the usual annual meeting with the usual topics of discussion. Except, there's one significant difference. It was the last annual meeting for our Pastor who is set to go into semi-retirement this coming October. He's been our Pastor for about 28 years. He's well-liked and is a phenomenal Pastor. It will be an interesting transition as our congregation looks for another Pastor. The process was started a couple of years ago (thanks to his concern and leadership). We have a robust Lay Ministry including a number of competent Deacons. Hopefully the reality of our Pastor's retirement won't be too painful. He will be missed, that's for sure.

I feel a nap coming. Second Coffee hasn't kicked in yet.

Liddle Noodnik - Hope all goes well with your son. Is he living in your main home or an apartment away (detached/separate) from your home?

Sabby_NC - Amy makes delicious Chinese meals with fresh ingredients and spices. Yummy! Sounds like you had some nice relaxing time with the hubby. That's always a nice thing. :)

aknottedyarn - I never pictured you as someone interested in the Superbowl. Very cool that you're organizing a Superbowl party! Sounds like fun! I'm not much of a sports fella. Never got into American football. I find it boring, to be honest. European football, aka soccer, seems more athletic in nature. You can't touch the ball with your hands (which is every man's worst nightmare), you kick the ball with your feet, head or other body parts (except you can't use your hands), and you're running up and down the field constantly! In American football, everyone wears padded upon padded clothing, helmet to protect the head and you might run a few yards on average before being tackled. Now, being tackled ain't for sissies. Still, it is men tackling other men; it's men on men. (What's the Rating of this web-site again???) But, again, they're all wearing very-padded uniforms which seems kind of sissy-like. When I was a boy, we played tackle football in my backyard with NO padding. (Ouch!!)

I like watching golf. LOL! :D

Steph - Tendonitis is no fun. Ouch.

Gosh. . . I'm falling asleep in front of the computer! LOL! I hate it when I do that, and I fall asleep in front of the computer all of the time! LOL! I guess it's nap time for Teddy! LOL

Cheers. . . :)

Ted

We had a great hike this morning in cool conditions but the sun was glorious, hiked up a mountain round about on trails then down the other side. We passed a frozen lake which was beautiful but very thick ice, hubby tossed a huge rock on it and it bounced then slid for the longest distance. LOL Nope we did not walk on it.

Bought a heap of fruits and veggies on our way home, made a delish juice for our breakfast using blue berries, chard, apples, cucumber, carrots and beets. It was absolutely delicious and very healthy.

Have pottered around doing hair and nail maintenance, played a game and am now going to have a wee nap.

Cooking beef and broccoli for supper with shrimp, red peppers and mushrooms, will serve over a little rice noodles.

Off to zzzzzzzzzzzzz LOL

I agree with steph, the AT&T store people are pretty good. It took a while but they got the balance transferred. Should be OK

I was even able to get outside for a while. It'll be a few days before I can do that again.

Ted, Actually I love soccer much more than football. I could watch soccer most days and be content. The story of SB goes way back to probably 35 years ago when I attended my first SB party. It was fun. My younger DS loves every sport and has yelled at the TV for many years. I got used to watching whatever sport was on. When I lived with his family for a year, I enjoyed baseball, also.

Football is the only sport I yell about. Well, soccer in person I am quite vocal, too. That sport has always been personal to me. Our high school was not big enough to have football, so we had soccer. We had, and still have great teams. I used to go to college soccer games with one of my old boyfriends.

Interestingly, I cannot watch football alone. it is a social event for me. Since I have been alone my neighbor comes to watch with me, and she does not even like football. Talk about good friends.

So, now you know more than you might ever have wanted to about me. Yeah, I like football.
