Morning

Fairly busy day for me yesterday, environmental group met, had lunch with dad, did cooking and cleaning and went for a walk.  Skipped most of Svengoolie as the movie was kinda dull

Today up early as church service is an hour earlier, making chior practice an hour earlier too.  Had an odd night, woke up a few times and had strange dreams and felt oddly down waking up.  Whatever it was I seem to be recovering

Other than that the usual brunch with J at one of our usual places, not much planned apart from that

Not even going to be 40 today, raining now with snow possible.  Thankfully next week will be in the 50s and 60s

Morning Joe and all who stop by-

Work was good yesterday morning.  We got out on time, the rain stopped, and it turned into a beautiful afternoon.  My daffodils are starting to bloom and I bought some pansies to put on my porch.  We also bought a new grill, as ours has died.  One of these days I will buy a good one that lasts, instead of a cheaper one that has to be replaced every 2-3 years.

We went to a great Spanish restaurant last night for tapas.  It was unseasonable warm, and there were a lot of people out and about.  It was nice to see and feel the energy that warm weather brings.  It's supposed to hit 70 today.  Fiance's daughter is coming for brunch.  I will make Shakshuka, as we all like that and it fits into my low carb eating plan.  I'll also make avocado toast for her.

Time to go out for a walk.  Hope all have a great day!

Good morning!

It's bedtime here. I'm in Kyoto and enjoyed visiting some temples, shops and saw a traditional tea ceremony.

Have read you all.  Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning.  Glad to read your posts everyone.  Seems like a good day for all so far.

My son's pickup wouldn't start last night when he left the bowling alley.  He got a ride home from a friend.  He and dad are on the way to see if they can fix whatever is wrong - maybe the starter.

Church (Palm Sunday), work more in the yard, take mother-in-law out to dinner.  That's all that's on my plate.  I hacked the heck out of an out-of-control prickly-leaves/red berries bush.  We have a huge pile of cuttings that we have to take to the ranch.  Too big to do a burn pile.  I might catch the lilacs on fire.

Insomnia monster visited and the last time I saw the clock was 0230.  I'm sore from starting to run (jog) again and lift weights.  Never sure why I stop when I know, I know this beginning part of starting to exercise is painful.

Ok - 2nd cup of coffee down.  Onward and upward.  Have a wonderful day folks.

I had forgotten that we were going to a fundraiser dinner/auction last night until ds reminded me of about 2 hours before we were to leave! At least he didn't just pipe up when he was ready to leave, as he is wont to do at times.  Anyway, monies were raised for summer activities for kids and young adults with autism, so it was all a good cause. The theme was Disco, and there were some amusing costumes. The background music was the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever, and I joked with dh that we were probably 2 of the 4 people in the room that saw it in a theatre.

I am waiting for the telephone/cable guy to get here. Our land line has been out for about 2 weeks and I finally got around to calling it in. Also, one of the TV's signal is wonky, so the service person is going to look at that too. There is a pause in the rain today, so maybe some grass will get cut.

Good day to all,

j22

Hiya, hiya, hiya, howahya?

Me? I am "Sitting here in Limbo".  Wishing I knew where my Jimmy Cliff CD is hiding. Silly me; it's with all the other CD's and Cassette tapes Somewhere Over the Rainbow,  Down In the Valley, in a box, in the shed. Got music on my mind, and no way to indulge...Amadeus, Catch Bull At Four,  soundtrack from Kevin Costner's Robin Hood, Merle Haggard, Talking Heads' Burnin' Down the House, Best of Linda Ronstadt, The Chicago Mass Choir, The McGarrigle Sisters, The Indigo Girls, Joan Armentrading, Paul Simon; I could carry on and on, but I am just torturing myself here!!!

Warm, windy, cloudy, wet, sunny, sprinkling... it's some of all of that.

Nannie is happy because there is another baseball game on tonight. Thing is, though, around about the fifth inning she starts losing it.... Who is that, is he on our team, why did they call that a strike, is the game over now, why is everybody just standing around? Why have "they" changed everything around so that the scoring and all doesn't make sense?  *sigh*

Welp, going to grab some magazines and catch up on my picture-looking  😋

Stay well and safe and dry and cool and warm and not hungry. Toodles!

Oh, my.  We are looking at the end of a S. Louis vs Cinncinatti  baseball game,  while the Braves game has to wait out their weather delay... there was a series of brief little interviews with the (ie, not "ours") players, and Nannie says, in complete earnestness: "Listen! They sound just like Americans!"

Huh. Imagine that.
