Good Morning Dear Ones,

Firstly Herring I checked out the video and just loved the jam session, I may have to play it again shortly.

Had a wonderful day away from the computer doing all sorts of things yesterday. Went off early and got the groceries out of the way, bought some flowers for the planters although I need more. Worked outside for hours mowing, replanting bulbs and freshening up the mulch.

Ironing done off my check list, played with the pups outside while enjoying the sunshine, got some color on the ol' skin while working, cleaned hummingbird feeders and put out more syrup for them. Filled up regular bird feeders, weeded some of the rockeries.

We had some glorious rain overnight so the timing was great in getting the lawn mowed and stuff done outside.

Hope you are all doing well this day.

Much love to you all.

G'morning Sabby and all who follow--

We can't put out bird feeders yet.....too many bears wandering around looking for 'breakfast".

Preparing for another grueling day with my tiny 98.

So, listen, I do like the new "What's New" button, but where is the easy way to get from the blue side to the yellow side? Can somebody tell me, please? Right now I have to go back into the trashed threads to find one from the other side and get in via that way....but there must be something simpler that I am just not seeing. Clues, anyone?

Enjoy your day, everyone!

Morning Sabby

Stars is that a new feature here at AN?

Busy day yesterday, was too tired to get outside yesterday, but ran errands in the morning, saw dad in the afternoon, and went to church in the evening. They didn't have their usual reception after the service due to another event. Looking forward to meeting with the minister in 2 weeks, looking to get more involved

Today I found out the rain will hold off until the afternoon, so I'll head over to the arboretum in the morning. Should be nice as the magnolias and dogwoods are blooming. Have to get the vacuuming and mopping done later, as well as some cooking for the week.

When on the yellow side I scroll to the bottom of the page and click breakroom.

When on the blue side I scroll to the bottom of the page and click Site Map.

Actually, that is all theoretical.

I open two windows and go back and forth that way. :D :D

By design, up at 0730.

Dh and I are going to Disneyland today.

I will dress dapper.

Will post pic later.

We helped with music yesterday morning, that went well.

Dh and I had lunch at El Torito.

I baked spice cookies (with pumpkin dip) yesterday afternoon and took them to a jam.

We arrived around 630 and left at 10-ish.

Nice ppl, good jam, in the high desert.

Drive wasn't too bad.

Forecast for Anaheim today is a sunny 73 degrees.

Hats are in order. :D

Y'all have a good one!

Good day April 19, 2015. It was 240 years ago today that the American Revolution started.

The American Revolution begins - Apr 19, 1775 - HISTORY.com

Last night we had a Three retired history teachers with us. One mentioned this date. He said he had to memorize the Longfellow poem, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere". He told us it is historically inaccurate in many ways. One is that Revere didn't finish the ride. The other is that William Dawes and Samuel Prescott actually finished the ride.

Ride to Concord - HowStuffWorks

A retired English teacher, now a singer/songwriter said, "Imagine starting:

"Listen my children and you will hear

Of the midnight ride of Samuel Prescott"

He then told us of an Emerson hymn at a July 4, 1837 ceremony to mark the completion of the Concord Monument, to immortalize the resistance of American Minutemen to British forces on April 19, 1775.

The melody of the hymn has been lost so he wrote his own and added a chorus. We sand it together.

Concord Hymn by Ralph Waldo Emerson - 1837

Good evening everyone,

Hard to believe that the weekend is already coming to an end. Was able to spend time with the boyfriend yesterday evening, had been almost a month since we had last spent time together. That was the evening before and the day that I had my wisdom teeth removed. We watched a movie and was able to catch up on what has been happening in each other's lives.

Today was not as warm as yesterday was, but had sunshine for most of the day and a light rain moved in over the last hour or so. I am planning on getting to bed early tonight, it has been a long weekend.

Well it rained straight down all day long and the clouds were so low the mountains kept disappearing entirely. It was really beautiful because of all the new, brilliant green of EVERYTHING!

I knew it was time to go home when my patient mentioned the nice breeze from the window and I broke into song, "Every little breeze seems to Lisper Woo-ease"
