So me and my gf are pre nursing students. shes currently single. she is all but convinced that she find a doctor to sweep her off her feet and live happily ever after (LOL)

my question is, do you nurses already out there see alot of dating btw Drs and Nurses? is that even allowed in most hospitals?

just curious

thanks for any replies

Seriously? She needs to get over it. As far I as I can see, it's a fabricated notion romantiziced by books and Grey's Anatomy.

Not to be rude.

It happens.

Sometimes the doctors are already married, but meh...

Minor inconvenience.

Yes it's allowed and I have know some nurses get their wish and live happily ever after and I've had others that regret marrying an MD at all.....just like a box of chocolates.....you just never know what you're goinna get...:)

Number of nurses: 7,000,482,289,258

Number of doctors 2,000,511

Tell her to do the math.

I can't help but point out the irony of the icon next to your post...a broken heart.

Trying to date the Doc is not a good thing, not in the workplace. If the relationship breaks up, there will be an intense atmosphere.

Out for that "Mrs." Degree huh?

Tell her she's better off hanging around pro sports team locker rooms.

You don't have to put up with wiping as much @$$... just kissing it.

Since it's no longer the 1950's...

Most docs I've met are already married even in residency. They already have small kids.

They often marry other doctors, or other people who are at the level they are professionally whether in medicine or not. They prefer to not have to carry "the load" themselves in life these days. That means, they marry someone who can bring home the same or near the type of salary that they do.

What is the allure of a doctor?? I just don't get it. Go back to school yourself and become a doctor and you could have all sorts of fake male nurses vying for your attention, saying things to you that they do not mean, just to say they are dating a doctor.
