What am I missing.  What "feelings" are being disagreed with in these graphs?

Oh, Tweety, have you missed the posts quoting right-winger, Ben Shapiro, about "facts not caring about your feelings"?

Yes, the Ben Shapiro, who stomped off a BBC set, crying, because his "feelings" were hurt, when his "facts" couldn't withstand a true debate.

Given that set of circumstances, it is HILARIOUS that anyone would use a Ben Shapiro reference in that way.

Right-wingers sure do have an odd sense of humor.

😝

Thank you Nel, I too could not figure out what "feelings" had to do with this. It now makes sense (well some sense) what the statement was referencing. Considering I am not American the reference makes even less sense when posted as an answer to me.

As suspected.

The conversation ignores the "graphs (facts)."

Oh dear. How can I ever possibly be a right winger?

I'm an Asian. 🙂

Oh dear.

Why on earth do you believe race has anything to do with right-wing views?

Race and ethnicity have nothing to do with right-wing views.

I have never equated the two.

Look at Candace Owens!

The conversation is is not ignoring the graph, you do not understand the graph and are misrepresenting the graph. A rookie mistake when you don't actually understand what you are looking at.

From the second paragraph of the reference you listed;

"Among the changes: The overall immigrant population continues to grow, but at a slower rate than before the 2007-09 recession. Recent immigrants are more likely to be from Asia than from Mexico, and are also more likely to have a college degree. The size of the unauthorized population appears to be on the decline. Deportations from within the United States are rising."

Possibly Tweety, or just another non sequitur to try to confuse us.

I just noticed a right-wing ad pop-up at this site, railing against BDS, and selling Israel bonds.

I don't visit right-wing sites, and it is a strange ad to pop up on AN.

Has this happened to anyone else?

From the link with the graph:

Quote

I think this was faulty information.

First a couple definitions:

1. Removals are the compulsory and confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States based on an order of removal. An alien who is removed has administrative or criminal consequences placed on subsequent reentry owing to the fact of the removal.
2 Returns are the confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States not based on an order of removal.

Deportations (removals) were highest so far during President Obama's terms.

Quote

Aliens Removed or Returned: Fiscal Years 1892 to 2017:

https://www.dhs.gov/immigration-statistics/yearbook/2017/table39

The smallest number deported in any year under the Obama administration was more than 326,400. Most had been convicted of a violent crime.

So Far under President trump there were 295,364 deported in 2017 and 226,119 in 2018

Quote

In 2018 a total of 226,119 were removed (deported)

Are you ignoring the Homeland security link?

The ENTIRE WORLD is "still (yes. still)" trying to move into our nation. 🙂

Not the other way around.

I have learned that card playing tactics from the "best and brightest leaders of this nation?" 🙂

Of course, I'm someone that believes not race but philosophy is the core of this nation. Of course you "guys" are just ignoring my previous posts on that subject.

Looks like Science agrees with me? https://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2018/04/race-genetics-science-africa/

That PESKY Science!
