You are reading page 3 of Seriously flawed thinking.. If you want to start from the beginning Go to First Page.

Here in Alaska the conservative voters are very concerned about receiving reduced payments from the Permanent Fund or possibly no payment at all, they are looking to gut state funding for primary and secondary education and health care to maintain that handout.  Progressive voters prefer that tax payments to wealthy oil companies are reduced ( currently >$1billion/anum) so that the state can afford services for citizens.

"A majority of people support Democratic proposals to raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans, according to a poll conducted this month for The New York Times by the online research platform SurveyMonkey, though their opinions vary between specific plans. Voters overwhelmingly see income inequality as a problem the government should be trying to address. Support for taxing the rich cuts across party lines: A majority of Republicans support a proposal from Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, a Democratic presidential candidate, to tax a group of the wealthiest Americans on their net worth (NY times, 2019)."

Yup. No wrong doings here. Just blatant people deciding that other citizens have "too much money."

You guys were looking for the evidence? Right? Now let's spin! 🙂

If we're going to define taxes as "people deciding that other citizens have 'too much money" then who are you saying this applies to more, does the middle class have "too much money", do low income workers have "too much money"?

Let's see this.

Nice try though spinning the simple truth behind:

a) a group of people

b) votes in people who gets elected to establish legislature

c) which the legislature raises the income taxes

d) against another "group of people."

Excellent. You guys just see no wrongs in this.

Let's see, you were asked a pertinent question about YOUR characterization of taxation and your response is that?

Nice try.

The article that I quoted?

Now, let's distort it and forget what we were talking about in the first place.

Taxing net worth has been proposed because it has overwhelming Republican support, those darn Republicans and their socialist tendencies.

As a larger and larger portion of America's total wealth accumulates with the top 0.1 percent, it would make sense that the tax burden of that wealth should go with it.

How would you prefer that it work?

So...anarchy?

You don't want taxes.

No taxes, no government.

No government, anarchy.

Or only taxes on people who have been here for more that one generation, and are not wealthy.
