...Just being curious again.....:redbeathe

What movie got your heart pumping...and made you avoid dark alleys and black cats and creepy hotels and long, empty staircases for months???

For me, it was The Shining..I visited it's opening scene in Glacier National Park (I believe it's called Goose Island or something) this summer..all the memories came back...Those darting, haunting eyes, the axe chopping through the door, Heeeeere's Johnny...:uhoh21:...Makes me alert and watching my back every second ALL OVER AGAIN!!!

The Ring completely creeped me out. I can watch blood and gore galore and it doesn't faze me; give me a movie like that, with all those disturbing images and head-games, and I have nightmares for a week.

The ones with paranormal stuff weird me out but I get over them pretty quick...it's the ones with real life bad guys that stick with me. There was one called Vacancy or something like that where a couple was in a remote motel and being stalked....gives me the heebejeebies. There are others I can't think of right now, but all of the scariest ones to me are those that make you think "this could really happen....to ME!!!!"

Without a doubt, the scariest movie I have seeing is "HALLOWEEN 1978" One of the memorable quotes of the film goes as follows and I quote " I REALIZED WHAT WAS LIVING BEHIND THAT BOY'S EYES WAS PURELY AND SIMPLY EVIL"

I can still see Jamie Lee Curtis running for her life in the hospital scene! And let's Not forget that Hunting theme song when Michael Myers is near!

I have seen both the 'old' and the 'new' versions of Psycho, and while the story is obviously fiction, I had to have someone with me in the bathroom (not actually in the shower, just in the bathroom) to talk to while I showered for a couple weeks. This was in college, too.

Now, I don't watch that stuff, because my imagination is waaaaay too overactive and it will keep me up at night.

I am a horror film fan. I love slashers. But the scariest movie I ever saw was the original "Halloween". Barely a drop of blood in it, but that music...! I slept with the light on for quite a while after that.

I also loved the "Scream" movies, but they're not scary. Funny and bloody, but not scary.

This link is to the trailer of a film I saw a while ago and loved; it's a horror comedy called "Tucker and Dale vs. Evil" and it is laugh-out-loud funny.Tucker And Dale Vs Evil - Official Trailer [HD] - YouTube

The film is graphic in the gore, but you don't really mind because you're laughing so hard. Check it out!

Not a real fan of horror movies. Just never got into that genre of film. It seems though that other people are picking the same "Scariest Film Seen" as I would pick: the first Halloween movie. Yikes!! It's a bit dated now, but it was scary back then. Another scary film was Alien. I LOVE Sci-Fi movies. The movie Alien was an excellent Sci-Fi movie with great special effects, an interesting story line (although not the deepest one ever written) and SCARY!
