Good Morning, Y'all!

First day today that I will be with my patient in her new shared room over in the Healthcare Unit. Will tap in later this evening and let you know how it is.

73 degrees will be the high today ( I like it!) and rainy (I like it) .

Have to dash----

Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning -

Just got up. Had a good night's sleep. Waiting for coffee to finish brewing. . . .

Tomorrow is our HOA meeting. It's being held in our home because no one else bothered to offer a place to hold the meeting. (This will be the THRIRD time that we've held it at our home. Oh well.) The process is still underway in having the town take over the care and maintenance of our road (as they should!). The process does seem to be in our favor this time. We'll probably need about $150,000.00 worth of work done on the road which the HOA property owners will need to pay through a special tax levy. It's work that needs to get done as well as satisfy the town in order to have it take over the road. This whole process has been a pain in our butt for too long. (Amy is the President and I'm the Secretary. No one else wanted the role for the past 5+ years. No matter what happens, though, we're "retiring" after this year!)

Working tonight. Hopefully work won't be too crazy-busy like it was the previous night.

Hope all is well. Peace, folks. :)

Ted

Good morning.

Thinking of Sabby and Joey this am. Prayers for his heart to be a-ticking in good rhythm.

Up late last night. Waited for my friend to bring me a late supper after I finished work. Well, it was late! In the mean time I got watching American Ninja contests. It was interesting to watch and really brought home the need for critical thinking skills. Few were successful at one of the challenges. Only the folks who selected a different way made it through. Just goofy fun.

Today working mid shift, which is my favorite. It means I spend more time with our customers, usually. Last night was stocking heavy stoneware. Some of the boxes were 40 lb. and packed tight. Good body mechanics at work.

Overcast this morning and very comfortable. I plan to enjoy the day.

Have a fun filled Saturday.

Morning Stars Ted AKY

Tiring day yesterday, started fine got lots done but bogged down by many calls in the afternoon. Had someone yell at me for something that was the fault of our Claims department. Ironically this was situation another employee was handling and got overwhelmed, so I took over (and didn't do any better). That's one of the problems with my place, if you're good they keep adding to your workload. Which is why my goal is for next year to get my CCM and get a transfer to Utilization, at least that way I won't deal with the public.

Did get everything on my list done, and left work early to meet with the cat sitter, gave her the quick tour and the keys and the instructions. Now that I think about it, I might get a light timer for one of the lamps, to make the place look lived in. Ah, and I should stop the mail too, I just remembered! Oh well, I have time, I'm not leaving for a week.

Going to see dad today, might also see about getting some supplies for the trip, have to make out that list as well. Also need to get outside for some exercise, it's nice as it hasn't rained for several days (finally!) so the ground is able to dry out a bit. Probably will skip Svengoolie tonight, it's "The Revenge of the Creature", which is a sequel to The Creature from the Black Lagoon and not as good.

Good morning.

Relaxing a bit and catching up on AN.

Today is my DH's cousin's retirement party (20 years in the Army). It will be a good time. We have had a great week catching up with his cousin and family. They were always a very close knit family and spent a lot of time together as kids and teens. Lots of fun reminiscing and telling old funny stories.

Last night we had a barbecue and played a game called "cornhole". It's a bean bag toss game kind of like horse shoes. It got pretty intense. We had teams. My son and I made it to the semi-finals then we got creamed. (No pun intended....didn't notice the play on words til I was re-reading before posting. Lol.) I also sang a little bit with my twin nephews. It was a fun time.

Better get going. The dryer is almost done and time to put some laundry away. And there is a breakfast burrito sitting on the table calling my name.

Wishing all a wonderful Saturday.

Morning all. Groggy here because Mr. Insomnia struck and I don't like him very much.

A seasonably warm, instead of unseasonably warm, day. Some clouds. We've had amazing thunderheads recently.

Spidey spent the night at a friend's home - went to a baseball game last night in another town 70 miles away! Boo hoo I'm not going to do well when he leaves for college in 6 years.

My house is clean. My yard is mowed. What to do??

Have a loverly Saturday everyone.

Slides in exhausted from my busy day.

All house work taken care of plus I have done the ride on and push mowing.

Spent the morning with hubby in the hospital. He was in Afib when he got there but since changing over medication he is now in SR, just praying he stays there and does not have to have another ablation. He is getting great care and has a huge suite for his room. You would think he was the president. LOL He is most happy about that.

Played with the dogs this evening, ran them around and they sure had fun. Banjo is sleeping out on the porch and Newly is in his doggie bed. They are both missing 'Daddy' and are not happy they can smell him on me but cannot see him.

Well this little lady is going to sip on some chamomile tea and relax while watching some TV.

See you all some time tomorrow.

Much love to you all.

Today in the 'new' room with room-mate went okay.My patient had 3 diarrhea stools and rec'd the 2 Immodium, which worked fine. She said, "So I'm going to live?" (Yes) "Well, I don't understand why I'm here." ( That is why you are here, because you get easily confused.) "You mean I'm confused because I get confused?" (Yep, that's about it.) "Jeez."

The funniest thing was hearing the room-mate on the other side of the curtain say to the nurse that she wanted something checked out by the nurse. The nurse asked what that was. Th pt. said, "I think I may have a bruise on my vital fixture.".....Come to find out that she thought when the aide had checked her BP (vitals) she had squeezed the arm too tightly and bruised her arm (fixture).

Anyway, I hear through the grapevine that we are all to be history soon as the case will stop at the end of the month. Wonder what the next case will bring.....
