Good Morning to you all,

Another early wake up call by Mr. Hip so here I sit sipping on this delicious pumpkin spice tea. Not too bad at all. *Slurrrrpppppssssssssss* ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Ted I was rolling laughing at your post from yesterday about the shoveling the snow etc! You are too funny.:roflmao:

Got the lawyer schtuff out of the way yesterday, went over to our new house and did a few things there. Still a little more to do as the previous owner still had things in the house. Now in a facility and son lives in LA so he does not have time and we did not mind. Hoping to get back over there today.

Have to run and get the dog some food and pick up some more tea that I like, other than that I am packing stuff up in the kitchen today.

Stephanie I do hope you gain some great info from the conference that you can pass on to moi.

Hope you all have a most excellent day.

Hi Michael I see you down there mate. :wavey:

Much love to you all.

Good Morning, all!

Freezing cold outside, but no snow, thank goodness. And I don't hear the wind chimes so the windchill factor must be low. The TV says it is 18 degrees out there right now, with a high today of 42 degrees.

Time to dress and run. Got my meals and snacks/drinks pretty much packed up last night.. Twelve hours today....

Will check back tonight.

Sabby, when do you next confab again with the doc(s) about your hip?

Morning Sabby and Stars

Quieter day yesterday than expected, didn't have to do the hospital visit. So that was good. Mostly took it easy after work, didn't do a lot.

Today I'm off to do some shopping, have some good coupons so I'm going to use them. Need a new bicycle pump and some new clothes. Going to get some heavy-duty socks, I like the feel and they work well in this cold weather with my sandals. I'll probably have to stop wearing them fairly soon but I want to see how long I can keep it up.

Going to see dad today too, might do a little hiking and some vacuuming when I get back. Svengoolie has the original Frankenstein on, I'll probably stay up to watch at least part of that.

Good Morning -

It's 8:08 AM (EST) around this part of the world. Just rolled out of bed. (Took synthroid around 5:00 AM.) Currently sipping First Coffee. Although, Sabby_NC, First Pumpkin Tea sounds delicious! Sluuuuuuurrrrrrrrppppppp. Aaaaahhhhhhhhh.

Sabby_NC - That nasty Mr. Hip. Wish he'd leave you alone. Hope you have a small army of people to help you move out of the old home and into the new! Do you have pictures of your new home? That part of life sound exciting, Sabby_NC!

No Stars In My eyes - The weather is slightly below freezing around here. The ground looks uncomfortably cold yet oddly pretty with the frost. It's a nice day to just hang indoors and do indoor things. Hope work goes well for you today.

Had a relaxing day, yesterday. I recently purchased a new camera. It's a Canon D70. It makes really beautiful stills. However, I purchased the camera for its ability to do high-definition video! Because one is able to change lenses on these cameras, it makes for very cool choices for video-making. My aim is to capture that short depth of field which the Canon D70, along with the fine optical lens that accompanied it, does quite well. I used the Canon D70 along with my "regular" prosumer Panasonic AG-HPX170 video-camera with the recently video-taping project for work for a Cameras A & B setup. I used the D70 strictly for the artsy-fartsy close-ups. Wow! It seems as if the Canon D70 did a nicer job in capturing the video than the Panasonic videocamera! I'm a happy camper! Of course, while editing the video (last night) I realized how much MORE I have to learn on videography as well as the finer capabilities of these cameras! Ugh! There were some mistakes made on my end. Nothing serious. Just annoying.

Anyway, here's one of my first photos taken with the Canon D70 using an 18mm to 135mm lens. I'm still impressed when I look at this photo! LOL! I now use this photo as a screen saver for my computer! LOL!

Here's a photo example of the D70 copied from footage taken during "Welcome to Fairview" video-taping that we did at work the other day.

Gotta love the "Artsy-Fartsy"! LOL!

Well, I'm gonna have some breakfast now. After breakfast, I might actually sit my fat behind down and work on some music! (We'll, see!)

Hope all who travel here have a pleasant day! Peace! :)

Ted

Edited to add: Hi Joe. I see that you posted around the time that I did. Hope you have a nice and relaxing time with your chores and while you visit you dad. :)

Dave - That's a lovely painting! I know that you're a talented cartoonist. I did not know that you are a talented painter as well. I hope that you show more of your works for us art-lovers to see. :)

Davey Do and Ted = Twins separated at birth???

'Mornin' all!

Quick note here, as I must get ready soon.

We will head out to Yucca Valley church, about 1.5hr away (in the desert north and west of Palm Springs) to help with music for their church service.

Our friend Curtis, a great musician, pastors this little church (and two others in that general area). He will help us with music; it's always good to see him and play with him!

Our band's fiddler is coming down from Fresno to spend the weekend.

We will practice as a band this afternoon (after our bass player is done with a gig near our house, at an Antiques shop), with her and him, YAY!

Then we have music to do tomorrow at noon, at Oak Glen. Whole band will be there, will be fun for us!

(yes I know, it's ALWAYS fun to play!)

Dh and I were asked to help with music there on Nov 30, for their Apple Butter Festival.

It will be just him and me, but that's OK with the folks who requested music, so we will do it. :)

Temps (dare I post this???) today should reach 70 degrees.

(now WHERE did I put my down jacket???? :D :D )

Y'all have a good one!

Ah 70 degrees! I think Las Vegas will be warmer too.

Nice to read you all - and I'm slurping chai tea with fake sugar and half&half. Not as good as coffee but gets the job done. C A F F E I N E.

Lots of chores to do before I leave tomorrow. Including laundry. But I'm also out of laundry soap. So odd how things run out in a group . ..also need paper towels & kitchen sponges.

Had a very, very, VERY "Q" shift today; my lady slept a LOT! At suppertime she fell asleep with her mouth open and her hand holding the sandwich halfway between the plate and her mouth; she stayed like that for 20 minutes straight! Finally couldn't take it anymore and went to take the sandwich from her hand.

Another 12 hr shift Sunday, with a diff. pt.in another end of town. She is also one of my least strenuous ladies. Monday's the 4 hour shift; dogs to vet late Mon afternoon. Tues AM they go to the groomers. I do my night shift Tues night and my week will be over, even having my least favorite day off....Saturday! But, it is working out pretty good, really.

Time to start getting ready for bed. It'll be 5:30 AM soon enough!
