I know. . . It's been a few weeks. . .

Lil Nel contacted me via LinkedIn. She gave a friendly hello, which was nice! (Lil Nel, I forgot that I'm a member of that web-site. It's been a long time since I visited LinkedIn!)

Sometimes I take breaks from the internet. To be honest, I have no explanation for this. I simply get involved with other things. During these past few weeks, the only time I'd go on the internet was to pay bills, visit Facebook (which I do fairly frequently to keep in touch with family members and old friends. . . including friends from allnurses), and to read the on-line New York Times newspaper (it's a paid subscription).

I also spent 12 wonderful days with Amy and family members visiting Ireland and Scotland!! What a whirlwind of a travel-vacation! We saw LOTS of sites, stayed at many high-end resort-hotels (including castles and palaces!), ate lots of great food, and did lots of traveling on our private bus (complete with our private bus-driver!). Of course I took LOTS of photos and videos! It was a GREAT travel-vacation!! (Photos are posted below.)

We returned this past Sunday. To be honest, I experienced some post-vacation-blues this week. After so much planning, and after experiencing this once-in-a-lifetime vacation, it's hard to believe that this vacation-experience is past us. I returned to work Tuesday night which was the first of three working nights in a row. Nights one and two were very, very busy for our teeny-tiny ICU. (Ugh!) Thankfully, the 3rd night at work was nice a "Q"! (I like "Q"!!)

I'm catching up with a lot of stuff that needs my attention (which was neglected while on vacation). I'm the secretary for our HOA and we have a meeting tomorrow. I need to write up the minutes from our last meeting! (It'll be interesting to see how well attended this meeting will be. Tomorrow is Mother's Day!) (Happy Mother's Day to all who are mothers, by the way! 🙂 ) I also MUST mow my lawn! The grass is very, very tall! (Yikes!)

Hope all is well with everyone! Much Peace and Blessings to you all! 🙂

Here are the photos! Enjoy!

Ted

Morning Ted.  I can certainly understand post vacation blues, the pictures were fantastic

Fairly quiet day at work, which was good.

Interview was delayed a bit, which gave me more time to get ready.  And it went very well, my former manager wants to reassemble our old team.  Seems like a lot of former coworkers, including from my current job, have gravitated there.  If they make me an offer, and I'm pretty sure they will, I'm certain to accept

Went for a walk and had a big glass of wine when I got home.  J's allergies are still pretty bad so we decided not to meet for dinner.  Hopefully he's feeling better today

Today I have a meeting with the environmental group and then I meet dad for lunch.

Weather will be cloudy and cool today, in the 50s.  By Tuesday it should be wamer

For some reason, I'm having problems posting the photos. Gonna try posting them on a separate post. . .

Apologies for the confusion with regards to posting these photos. It seems that there is a new way of posting photos and I'm just figuring it out now.

Those are gorgeous photos, Ted.

Ireland and Scotland are certainly beautiful.

It is all so tranquil!!!!

Thank you for sharing.

Work was okay, last night.

I had seven patients. And I had the best tech on the unit.

It is cool and gray in the Blue Grass.

Have a great day everybody.

Thanks again for sharing those phenomenal photos, Ted.

Good morning!

Ted, your photos are fantastic!  I'm glad you and Amy had such a good time.  I understand the post-vacation blues.  Planning another vacation is a certain cure!  Anyway, it's nice to hear from you.

Joe, I'm glad the interview went well.  I hope they make you a good offer.

I'm being lazy today.  I have lots of yard work to do and I need to go for a walk, but my butt is parked firmly on the couch with a cat on my lap.  I'm lacking motivation, and so is the cat.  Fiance was up and out early for a 40 mile bike ride.  Crazy, I tell you!

Have a great day!

Good morning!

Ted, great photos!  Glad you had a nice time.  Would be interesting to see if my tour visits some of the same areas when I go later this year.  I always get post-vacation blues, sometimes real bad, especially if it's combined with jet lag.  But the more I travel the less it seems to be.

Joe, awesome things are hopefully going your way in the job department.

BC, hope you have a good day balanced between being lazy and productive. Yeah right.  I think the cat wants you to stay put.

It seems summer has arrived, it's hot, humid and rains daily.  It's already 80 with 82% humidity.  Since it's been rainy I need to mow the back yard before it gets too out of hand.  Hope to start on that today, as well as visit the gym.  If I do those two things, I'll be satisfied.

Work was garden variety busy and I got out at 8:30.  Four days off!

Tweety - Amy did all of the planning for our Ireland/Scotland adventure. We used the Emerald Elite Group as our travel agency. (They are FANTASTIC!!) Renting a private bus & private bus-driver was a welcomed expensive luxury. There were 6 of us in total and we didn't have to worry about driving on the "wrong" side of the road! L O L! Here are a few of the places we saw between Ireland and Scotland:
* Toured Connemara
* Toured the Dingle Peninsula
* Explored Killarney National Party (which included a boat ride)
* Visited Scone Palace & Sterling Castle
* Took a boat tour on Lock Ness and visited Eileen Donna Castle
* Toured the northern part of the Isle of Skye
* Explored Edinburgh including the Edinburgh Castle
* Explored Dublin including Trinity College (the Harry Potter Library)

BCgradnurse - Yard work! Ugh! I'm totally avoid it, too! L O L! Hope you (continue to) have a relaxing week-end! 🙂

Joe - Good to read that the interview went well. Hope you get the position, and that it works out for you! (I was lurking here a few days ago and read about your current job situation! Wow!)  Hope J's allergies improve. Enjoy your weekend!

Well. . . gotta get back to typing the HOA minutes from the last meeting so that they're ready for tomorrow's HOA meeting. (Blech!)

Glad Ted, Amy, and family had a great vacation! Love the photos!

Hope Joe gets the perfect job!

BCgradnurse: Enjoy the day off. Do as much as you feel like.

Tweety: Enjoy your days off!

For Mother's Day tomorrow our families plan to visit with DIL's grandmother at her care facility and then go to lunch. Latter reservations were easier than brunch. I would be fine doing Mother's Day today, but was out voted.

Good morning.  Love the photos Ted, thanks!

I'm on call.  We have one patient.  It feels weird to plan my day around being able to respond.  It's been a month.

I want to take a walk here shortly.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning!  LOVE the photos, Ted!  So glad you had a wonderful time!  We should ALL have some sort of once-in-a-lifetime, memorable trip!  (or two or three or more!)

Went to bed clearing my throat a lot, couldn't get to sleep.  Woke up with the alarm (we were going to help with music) and my throat is still raspy and sore.  No wonder I have felt just SO TIRED the past two nights when I got home from work: catching some sort of bug!  We declined doing the music and I slept another hour.  We are supposed to meet youngest ds at lunch for an early Mother's Day.  I think I will go, just have some soup.  Then come home and rest.  Oldest may be able to meet us for dinner, we'll see.

I took some elderberry and oscillococcinum - first time trying them, hope they help shorten this, whatever it is.

Next week we have a band practice on Tuesday (I am off work early) then we have a program to do Friday at the TV station, LLBN.  We are doing an hour vespers program, our  -- third??  Maybe 2nd.  Anyway, got to get ready for that.

Last night, while dh was gone to his band practice, I worked on two new songs we wanted to learn (not for this program, but in general).  I listened to them on youtube, done by Ricky Skaggs.  Man, is he GOOD!!  I mean, I knew he was good, but when I listen to him sing and play, I realize once again how VERY good he is! The Old Crossroads, and Talk About Sufferin'.

We have been having June Gloom in May!  Dh and I recall this happening the past few years.  Kinda gray and overcast, a little drizzly, goes on for days.  THEN summer comes!!!  115 degrees!!

Good to hear from you all, I read the posts every day, just don't have much to say, myself. 🙂

Have a good day

I love Ricky Skaggs!  Here he is with other greats including Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Martina McBride, Charley Pride, Trace Adkins, Whisperin' Bill Anderson, and Trisha Yearwood.

I love when a performer says, "Y'all sing now!
