Good Morning to you all,

Cannot believe I am up already considering I was falling to sleep at the computer last night. Phew I tell you we worked our hiney's off yesterday. I had the pleasure of admitting a WW2 veteran last evening which was a very long admit but very interesting as this person loved speaking about their service and time in the army. My day turned out to be over 11 hours!

Managed to get the house work etc. taken care of so today all I have is a wash of scrubs when hubby gets out of his by 8AM then that load of washing will be on as we head on out for a nice hike. Should be beautiful and not so hot to enjoy ourselves.

Still no rain which is much of a concern as I see so many lawns around my travels that are brown. We desperately need some moisture to improve the water table. I do pray that these stinking hot days we are heading in to bring some heavy storms.

Planning on relaxation after a great hike, looking forward in getting some sun on the skin and purging this past hectic and at times, frustrating week.

Have an awesome day my friends.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby, I hope you get some rain

Work was fine yesterday, potentially could have been a very busy day but wasn't

Drove to the bike shop last night to get my new tire, only to find they sent the wrong size. Will have to try again next week. Did ride my bike last night, even with 1 new and 1 old tire it handled better, will be better still when I get the other new one

Going to see dad today, going to get outside today since it won't rain. Will probably skip the arborteum this weekend, given how busy it gets on holiday weekends. Might skip Svengoolie, I think I've seen tonight's movie and it wasn't that good. Though who knows, I might give it a try.

Going to be a parade downtown this afternoon, hopefully it won't make it hard to get to church tonight.

Morning!

On my second cup of coffee with Half & Half. Yum.

My goal is yard work. Still some clouds out there but should be a nice day overall. I really need a weed eater though.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Gosh, is it Saturday already?

When hubs went to PT yesterday, the therapist found some kind of 'bump' in his shoulder cap and he had to go back down to the surgeon, who said that "it happens; about 1 in 500 have some kind of loosening or dislodging of one of the attachment points. His shoulder got shot up with numbing agent, and the surgeon manipulated it with his thumbs and forefingers. Then told him he was probably going to be pretty darn sore after that and sent him home with two morphine tablets! Hubs didn't want to take the morphine, so he took 2 of the Vicodin and slapped an ice-pack on his shoulder; it is better, though still sore, this morning. Goes back to PT next week; they are very pleased with his ROM and he has a sheet of exercises to follow. They really ideally would like to see him 3x/wk, but it is $50 copay with each visit and who has $150 a week for PT when the disability check takes its own sweet time getting here?

I took a 3-11 shift tonight with one of my infrequent tiny 90's. After I said yes, I realized I would probably get maybe 5 hours of sleep before I had to get up and do my usual 7a-7p Sunday with tiny 98. OH WELL! At least I can and do have work, and it's not like it'll kill me, as both ladies are NOT difficult to care for.

I bumped into the primary CG of my tiny 98 and she told me they have called in for a hospice consult which was supposed to occur yesterday. She has lost a few more pounds that she can ill-afford, and her memory loss is increasingly noticeable. So, there's nothing imminent occurring, but 'it' certainly is on its way, and ya never know.

I've got about an hour before I have to leave for work, so I'll be about my business of getting ready to go.....

May not be back on line until Sunday PM, so I'll wish you all a good w/e, and talk with you later!

Update from my niece:

So my brother was taken off the ventilator yesterday morning & is still breathing on his own. We're at the stage now where we have to decide where he's going next for rehab. Just want to thank everyone for their continued love & support. He's doing way better than the doctors thought he would, obviously we've got a very long road ahead of us but we're so proud of him
