Good Morning, Everybody!

We all have our Wake Up Routines we do in order to Transition into, and get ready for, the Day. Our Wake up Routines are pretty much Constants that allow us to Prepare ourselves for the Numerous Variables we must deal with in Day to Day Life.

My Routine was Basically, for Years and Years, to make myself a small Pot of Coffee and sit down at my Art Table. I would note the Date and then Sketch and Write whatever came to Mind.

Like Julia Cameron's Concept of "Morning Pages", my Routine Purged out Yesterday's Absurdities and helped me Strategically Plan for my Waking Hours.

Times and Situations change, and our Routines Follow Suit, as did mine. With the Advent of a Computer and the Internet introduced into my Life, I found my Routine drifting away from Sketching and more toward Emails and Posts.

However Interesting and Entertaining Reading/Generating Emails and Posts were, I felt a Lack; Something was Missing. So, in order to Satisfy that Need for the Therapeutic Value of Expressive Sketching, I found a Method to Combine the Two.

This Computer Tablet-Generated Page of Sketches and Notes may well have been what I would have put down in Pen and Paper in times past:

Good Morning Davey and all who pop in,

Loved your sentiment this morning Davey and the l'il smile from your drawings brought me this morning. I am going to do just that. Hope your day is pleasant for you my friend.

I worked my derriere off yesterday with 7 visits one included a fall with multiple skin tears requiring first aid. I almost had another admission but it turned out to be a later one which is a shame as I was looking forward to seeing this person who I discharged a long time ago but the decline is now very evident. Will catch up with them on Monday.

We shall be getting ready as soon as the that big ball is up in the sky, going to be out before the rain or stormy weather comes in. The boys will appreciate and always look forward to their hikes as we do to. Not sure where we will walk them today but some where with inclines aka mountains so they get their work out.

When we get home we will clean up then head out to visit a property we want to have a look at, just keeping all our options open at this time.

Hubby's sister has a gentleman who is relocating from CA who drove past our log home and loves it, so he will have a look through on Monday. The windows need cleaning so that is what we will do later today then do the wood flooring Sunday night.

Next week the weather will be nice with temps in the 70's so the boys will be happy outside in that. Just kinda wished she was bringing this person through on a day where we can take the dogs out and not harass them but they just love company and will not leave them alone. LOL

My joints are a little unhappy and I am so looking forward to seeing my rheumatologist to get something sorted out re medications that may help a little. I inject monthly with Simponi and take Methotrexate but need a little adjusting.

Just looked outside and it is a little foggy but nothing so bad we cannot hit the trails, love this time to sit and reflect while typing away in my loft sipping my yummy cup of tea.

I guess I need to get ready as I am getting the 'stink eye' from Banjo, without barking he sure can get his point across. LOL

Hope you all have a most excellent and happy day.

Much love to you all.

Morning Davey and Sabby

Got up early with a migraine, a really bad one, not had one like it in months. Apparently the one I had a few days ago was just a warning. Took my pills and fell back to sleep for a bit. Awake now, still some pain but a few more pills should take care of it. Definitely motivated to stay on my diet now, it keeps the migraines at bay.

Off to dad's later for a birthday party, will try to get outside before that once I'm feeling better. Though actually tomorrow will be much warmer than today, I might head outside then instead.

Good morning. My eyes are slowly getting used to being open :zzzzz: I could probably roll over and go back to sleep right now, I'm tempted to. But my hubby woke up a little early and is getting ready for the day so we are probably doing something today. I have been so busy lately that I feel like being lazy on the weekends.

Today I planned on doing some reading and CEUs. I have an Ophthalmology for RNs text book I purchased in January and I am finally cracking it open. I plan to take my ophthalmic RN certification test in the fall this year. The book also has online end of chapter tests that I can complete for CEUs. It's a win win situation, I study for my test and complete my CEUs at the same time (they are due in November).

Well, I better go find out what we have planned for the day. Wishing all a wonderful Saturday.

Good Morning -

Davey Do - Ahhhh. . . . Routine. Nothing like the "same old, same old". As Samual Beckett put it in his play, Waiting for Godot, "Habit is a Deadener." My routine has caused "the walking brain death" (aka zombie living) a long time ago! LOL! :D

Sabby_NC - Sorry to read about your "joint aches". Hopefully you can get the medications adjusted so you can carry one without the discomfort.

nursefrances - Seems like you have a productive day for yourself. Of course, that whole "waking up thing" can be hard to do sometimes! I find that entire waking up and getting out of bed routine over rated! LOL! :p

Today, I hope to finish editing that in-service video on restraints and have it ready at least in DVD form by Monday. Later this evening, Amy and I are going with a friend for another dinner and a show. We're going to see the play, "Private Lives". (I had to ask Amy for the name of the play! LOL!). It will be a nice ending to a very restful and somewhat productive "stay-cation". I feel refreshed and ready to go when I return to work tomorrow night. I work both Sunday night and Monday night, then I'm off the next few nights. During that time off, Amy and I are going to NYC to see the Broadway musical-comedy, "The Book of Mormon". This will be our second time seeing this hilarious show! We're going to see it with some friends who haven't seen the musical-comedy yet! We're doing an over-night stay down in the "Big Apple" and hope to spend some time seeing the Fine Art museum the next day. Looking forward to our NYC trip! :)

Hope all have a pleasant day today! Enjoy your routines! LOL! :)

Ted

Good day all. Just stopping by to say :wavey:. No energy even though I am almost through my second cup of 1/2 caf. Wish I could still drink hi test. It is raining pretty heavily and will be all day. 2-3 inches of all day. That means flooding on our roads. That is OK, I really don't need to go anyplace. I have one of those low pressure headaches, as well as the joint aches of rainy weather. Reminds me of those thrilling days in the SE AK rainforest. Sabby, sorry to hear your joints are complaining. Hope tweaking the meds takes care of it.

Ted, I am jealous of your NYC trip. I have not done one of those in too long. nf, The eye is such an interesting field. I never knew much about them, I focused on hearts as such, and wish I knew more now. Seems that eyes are one of my greatest fears to lose.

I may dig through some stuff as a mutual friend is having a yard sale coming up soon and has offered space for my junk as well as my neighbor's. I have big and little things to gather.

have a good day. I probably will sneak in at least one nap since the rain is so nasty.

AKY, you helped me without knowing it. I have been throwing around the idea of changing my name to something a little more anonymous and I wanted to add "eyenurse" (or something eye related) to it. So now I am thinking of: NF_eyenurse

Too boring? (And this way I won't lose my davey-isms. ;) )

Good afternoon - I could have sworn I chatted on today's GM thread. :writing:

But . . .I spent a good hour on the phone with my good friend catching up. Her dad died a few weeks ago in Virginia - he was a hospice pt. All is well.

Then met hospice team for breakfast and after that we spent 4 hours decorating for the dinner/dance tonight. I came home to take a nap but can't fall asleep.

Spidey's team lost their two basketball games today. They will be attending my son, Ironman's "fish fry" tonight. They aren't actually frying any fish but bbq-ing. He spent two weeks off Baja and fished up a storm. So, fish and lobster tail (which to tell the truth sounds better than our Hawaiian themed dinner tonight). I'm going "stag" to the dinner/dance but have made them promise to save me some fish and lobster.

It poured rain most of the morning - gray, dark clouds now and windy. Hope the rain holds off to me to get back to the restaurant. we have lots of raffles and door prizes to give away. It should be fun. We sold 88 tickets - that's pretty good for a small town.

Enjoy the rest of your day - sounds like you all are doing well.

:wavey:
