Gidday all and happy yesterday to y'all.

Town yesterday to renew my scripts. Oh boy. These foreign "doctors" Took me 3 tries to get him to write them correctly. I can write scripts for my pt's but not myself. Frustrating.

Goddaughter is coming today with her new baby, so I get to be all grandfatherish. Ha, knew that would trick mr Spellchecker!

Her fiancee is an electrician so we will fit a new switch in the powerhouse and get my new Rosemary engine up and running. Hope I can run fast enough to keep up although if I can catch a Boeing, I can catch a Cummins.

Tourists are full on and foolish. Several car rollovers luckily no serious injuries. Truck fire up the highway last week. Brand new truck burned to the ground because of a brake failure.

Herself is doing fine and loving her job but I don't as she is so far away. Still hopefully I'll get to spend time with her in Sept.

I best go look at the world. Nothing on for today. Oh shirt and pants of course.

Hooroo M

Hey there, Michael! Thanks for getting the thread started.

It is still is about half-an-hour until it's officially Saturday here...

I got a lot done Friday: cleaned out and reorganized all the dresser drawers and made a large bag to bring to Salvation Army's resell shop. Part of the closet is reorganized. Cleared off the pile of papers on the toss-everything counter, and recycled/shredded a good deal of it; polished all my shoes; did a few loads of laundry; washed, dried, and re-hung the curtains; showered and shampoo'd; cooked supper; and prepacked much of my meals for my 12 hr. shift coming up Saturday.

Now I'm about to set the alarm clock and climb in between the fresh, clean sheets for a good, well deserved sleep!

Boy-dog did well with the fireworks, mostly because with the TV on and the A/C running, and me giving him an especially thorough ears scratching he didn't have much of a chance to hear anything going on outside!

Have a good weekend, y'all!

Thank you for starting the thread Michael!

I really hope the other tourists are more careful.

Good for you cleaning and organizing NSIME!

It is a good feeling!

Almost 1 1/2 hours to July 5th here. People are still setting off fireworks.

Pearl is back outside. She seems to enjoy barking and running. Duke looks at her like he can't understand why she doesn't sit quietly.

Oh dear, Herring. When I first read your post, I thought you meant I was cleaning and organising No Stars!! I'm sure she's a big girl and can do that herself.

Good Morning Michael, NSIME, Herring and all who pop in,

Thanks for starting us off today Michael always good to see you and find out what you have been up to. It is always those holidays that we dread with increased tourists. So sad but thankful no serious injuries. Hope you are doing well yourself mate.

NSIME you sure have been a busy lass. It sure is a nice feeling of accomplishment isn't it?

Herring our dogs were very good as there were no fire works in close proximity to us although they could hear faint bangs, did not bark and I guess were too tired to bother. LOL

Hubby's sister and boyfriend came over last night as a spontaneous visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together. We have invited them over for late lunch. Hubby will cook his famous BBQ chicken and I will make a few dishes to chow down on.

Will head off for a nice hike this morning not sure where we are going but I am so looking forward to this.

Still trying to recover from the marathon driving event yesterday for my on call and still laughing!!

Hope you all have a most excellent and fun day.

Much love to you all.

Good morning and to Michael, good night.

Michael, glad you got some time with the extended family. I am sure you will figure out how to chase that Boeing very effectively. Hope you don't have to do it often. Out of the box I think it should run well without too much chasing.

NSIME, I am tired and ready for a nap after your full day. And Herring, My dog was upset by small fire crackers nearby, but we are not in close range of any of the big ones. She survived with pets and ear scratches. All she wanted to do was go to sleep with me.

Sabby, Lots of miles yesterday. At least in the car you can have good tunes to help the miles roll by. The dinner sounds great.

I completed my task of baking all my cookie dough and making some more. I was going to count them but by the time I got them all done I did not feel like it. I think around 400 cookies, 8 different kinds. Most will go for after the funeral and I will keep a few here and send some to work, and the rest to another friend. I did get some laundry done, but other than that I just enjoyed the day. We had the Philly concert on TV so I got to enjoy lots of current music, including Aloe Blacc. My favorite new song, Wake Me Up When It's All Over. I love his voice. Avicii did not give him credit for vocal.

Today is back to work and then I have to get back to work digging out boxes.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Care and Share.

Morning Michael Stars Herring Sabby AKY

Fairly quiet 4th for me. Roughly half the day was taken up by my biking adventure. Found the eastern end of the trail but lost it going through a town. Headed back to the beginning, took a wrong turn and somehow ended up on another trail. Got back to the beginning, loaded the bike in the car and drove to the western end and completed the rest of the ride. Nearly 2 hours of riding, more than I had anticipated. And a fair amount of driving too. Tired when I got back, did some cooking for lunch and took it easy and watched a movie.

Going to see dad tomorrow. Today if my legs are feeling OK going to do some hiking as well. Have some shopping and some more cooking to do. Svengoolie has "The Invisible Woman" on tonight, might watch, it's more of a comedy than horror.

Great minds think alike! :bookworm: Hi Michael!

Good morning all.

Well, today is our 4th of July. We have an annual celebration that starts on Saturday. Pancake breakfast, parade, crafts fair, bbq, hotrods, etc. Tonight will be the fireworks show. More events tomorrow.

Also, our Cousins Picnic is today with the regular picnic at noonish and then an evening of homemade Mexican food and tortilla-cooking over an open flame.

Great fun and my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter are here!!

I'm a happy grandma - she's changed so in the last month and a half. Scooting all over the place on her hands and knees. Big smile on her face and very curious about everything.

So, today we celebrate Independence Day . . . .someone did one of those spontaneous interviews on the street asking people about Independence Day and I swear, most of the young people had no idea who we gained our independence from nor did they know what century it happened! That's appalling. But I'd bet they know who Beyonce is . . . .

Enjoy your day everyone!
