Hi Dianah

Stars glad you won't be getting much snow

NJ22 glad it was sunny and cool rather than cold

Work was pretty good yesterday, nothing unusual came up.   Looking forward to the new people coming out of training, as they can take over some of the work  I have been covering

Snow wasn't too bad, a few inches, and was over by the afternoon.  Was fairly cold though.

Finally got together with J, for the first time in nearly 3 weeks.  We were at the restaurant fairly late, even had dessert which we rarely do.

Today will do some baking in the morning, and laundry too after I go out and get my coffee.  Will meet dad for lunch as usual

Svengoolie has The Haunted Strangler, which I haven't seen before.   I notice that I tend to like the older movies he shows more than the more recent ones

Will be in the 20s today, thankfully winds will be light

Good morning!

Joe, sorry to hear about J's ongoing problems.  Osteo is tough to manage once it settles in.  Glad you got to see each other.

J22, hope you had a good time with your grandkids.

Stars, I too have issues remembering passwords and getting on sites.  Also now with some of them automatically signing you in I forget them easily.

Off today.  It's windy out. Going to yoga this afternoon but not to much going on.

At a 4 AM visit to the bathroom, when peeking out the window, I saw that we had snow that covered EVERYTHING! Then by noon it had mostly melted and the wind was gusting something terrible. Hubby thinks Nannie and I are crazy for feeling cold in the den, then says he will turn the thermostat up to 75 and sweat us out. Wiseguy! I guess that's a normal things 'twixt guys and gals-- the War of the Thermostat. WE have to pile on the layers? I think HE should take OFF his layers...I mean, ya hear about plenty of ol' guys who sit around at home in their boxers and a t-shirt. Of course, I'd have to get him some boxers first, but still.......

Joe, I am glad you and J could finally get together again. // I've never heard of The Haunted Strangler; wonder if the strangler is haunting others, or if he is haunted BY something himself?  Maybe both! But, probably won't get to see it, if The First 48  or Forensic Files is on at the same time. The other residents in this house are big into Real Crime shows. I like those shows, too. Sad that they don't particularly like bizarre and odd old movies. I still laugh every time I see a scene from "The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman". The measurements for her height or the size of her appendages weren't figured out too well because in different scenes the "objects in the mirror may be closer than they appear", or something like that. Anyway it would be frightening to see a person so big and tall, but, I mean, how did SHE feel about it? And was her name "Alice"?

I have laundry to do, a horribly messy room to clean up, a waaaay lot of stuff to shred, and no interest AT ALL in diving into any of it. I am a "PRO" at "crastination".

Knee seems to be mostly behaving so far today. I'm going to call the doc's office (or maybe send an email) Monday morning and ask for an appt to have the Prednisone/Lidocaine injection ASAP. (She leaned back her head, rested the back of her hand on her forehead, and sighed, "I've suffered long enough...")

I can't believe it is already Saturday again. I am getting whiplash from the speed at which time passes. On the other hand, it would seem my feet are encased in dried cement because it seems like things don't change, like absolutely NOTHING is moving forward....

I've started the third book of the four in The Outlander series. Good reading, and am so glad not to be watching it streaming, so I can picture the people and the action to suit myself, and not take some Casting Director's idea of who looks like each of the characters. Also, in a movie, they telescope and accordian-fold events and scenes in the interests of editing time. Nope, I would much rather read it than see it.

OK, enough for now.

Good late afternoon. Yes, we had fun with the little boys, as we call them. Our sons, are the big boys, lol. I picked up Thai food for dinner. The youngest grand prefers vegetarian, and but dh thinks one must eat meat, so take out was the easiest.  I would eat more vegetarian, but I am not interested in cooking two dinners every night. Dh and eldest grand watched a marathon of spider man movies. The younger one went to bed early.  Their dad picked them up at noon.

I went out for a frosty run, but it was tolerable, because there was no wind. I was greeted by several nice doggos walking with their people. I met a very handsome, very large yellow lab. We had a yellow lab once, and she was the best dog, ever. Except for the constant hair shedding.

Youngest ds and I made a run to the dump to get rid of several electronic items, and some big trash that won't fit in the weekly can. I love getting rid of stuff! And I got out on the roof to sweep off accumulated spruce tree needles.

Clouds have moved in, and it is warming up to the 40s and will likely rain. Maybe I can get dh to go a movie matinee tomorrow. Licorice Pizza is still showing.

Yes, Joe, I am glad you and J were able to get together. I googled the Haunted Strangler, and it looks like it stars Boris Karloff. Cool!

Oh, the constant thermostat wars! Part of the problem is my issue. I will feel super chilled at times, and then a few minutes later have a "power surge" (hot flash). The big priority, though, is the dog ?. He is has a smooth, light coat, but doesn't like to wearing sweaters. He loves his fireplace.

Well, that's a lot of dribble, drabble. I suppose I need to think about dinner, soon. Blerg.

Boo hoo, sniff sniff, poor little me ... Last night I wanted a simple can of soup. But I COULDN'T OPEN THE POP-TOP CAN!!!!!!!!  /////  Has happened to me in the past recently because my bad shoulder. I went searching Amazon and saw a familiar tool that I found already in my collection of kitchen gadgets. Wonder of wonders, used it and made my soup!!!   /////   Happy camper here this evening.

How'd y'all manage the snow? Around 9 inches for me in NJ nearish Phila. Condo HOA took care of shoveling sidewalks. I'm thinking BC may have been hit heavy.

TPTB will be closing  the 'BLUE side' and reopening our postings over on the 'YELLOW'. Going to be losing some of our threads. Sad!

Have cardiology Wednesday - echo & Doppler.

Tonight will get down to below 17 degrees; tomorrow afternoon it's supposed to be 47 degrees and sunny, then in the upper 50's the rest of the week. Heh? That's YO-YO weather! ??????

Hubby just made his mom mad when he told her to be sure to change into her pajamas tonight and go to sleep in her bed all night. She's been wearing the same clothes for three days, he said. She snapped, "I HAVE NOT!" Oopsie! But it's only the truth! Also, she goes back out into the recliner about 1/2 hour after we clear the den...and she stays dressed and sleeps there all night. He has asked her "why?" but she denies sleeping in her same clothing for days or staying in her recliner all night. I don't care any more, anyway. Gives me fewer clothes to launder! I don't know if she smells funky or not, because I haven't got a sense of smell anymore. Her only activity is getting up and going to the bathroom.

Seems sometimes MY only activity is grousing to y'all! Sorry, but thanks for tolerating me.
