Talk about depressed! :uhoh3: Anyhoo.........Please pray an EXTRA prayer for me today. I need it BIG time. Thanks. :kiss :icon_hug: :flowersfo

Hope all is well with each of you. I'm at the library. Just been alerted my time is almost up. Hope I can sign on again. Haven't been to the library since last week, so had LOTS of emails to go through before signing on here to chat a spell. :uhoh3:

Good morning everyone! Was up earlier (way earlier) and went back to bed until about 1/2 hr ago. zzzzz

Netters--don't forget the pumpkins to go with the mums! mums.jpg

:chair:

Oh YES !!! Thanx, Suzy ! :)

Hadn't even thought of that! I had planned on cutting down our cornstalks and placing them in front of the porch by the columns, with a few punkins placed around them, but never thought of that for the fountain ! I love it! :D I think mybe just one medium sized and one tiny one would do.

Jax... sorry about the sinus... blech !

I have been sooooooooooo fortunate. I never, EVER took the flushot until two years ago.. was one of those who thought it would GIVE me the flu. I finally caved, and took it.. two years in a row now. And have not contracted as much as even a sniffle or headcold, much less a chest cold... for two years now ! Woooooot!!!

OK guys... here are the final touches... just got in from playing out back after my WMart run:

The mums are just beginning to bloom, lots of buds yet, so they're not "full out" as of yet. But when they are... they'll be gorgeous. And a couple punkins in amongst them would indeed be lovely !

[banana]THANK YOU, Suzy ![/banana]

Renee !!! How good to see you. I'm so sorry you've been having a rough week. (((HUGS)))

Have you thought of just throwing up your hands at nursing for awhile, and like I said to Case Mgr. yesterday, just going for something else? ANYTHING right now is better than NADA. At least you'd have some income coming in.. save it up for a deposit on a small place or apt. of your own.. or a deposit on a used car somewhere. Just some stress-free mundane job right now would do.

That's what I did when I was in your shoes.. I had no time to be picky.. just needed some immediate income, no matter how small, so I could get back on my feet and be independemt! I just saved every penny until I had a deposit on a used car, then kept it up until I had a deposit on a small place to live and call my own.... then kept on from there... to bigger and better things.

I know how difficult this ol' world can be, believe me. Hang in there, Renee.

Day off for me thank goodness! Lots to do, finish painting our sons room, get him school supplies and clothes, groceries...etc. Uhgggggggg! But oh well...I will just take it slow and easy :).

Had a scoot day yesterday at work, orienting to the desk at swing...not much going on so I just kept busy helping everyone as I wished. That was so nice after two weeks of pure fast paced heck during orientation! LOL!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

Did I read correctly? FUN got an "A" in Stats? You go woman! Congrats! :balloons:

Netters - I have applied for jobs as low as $2.30/hour (a waitress job in a small cafe in Texas). No bus transportation in the area where dd lived in TX, and couldn't get THAT particular dd to cart me back and forth for a few weeks just to give her MOTHER a "hand up" to make that wee jump to getting back on my feet. So...this mother left the suburban life of TX. :uhoh3: Same problem when I stayed with one of my sisters and friend in GA. They all wish me well in getting ANY job to get me back on my feet, but they don't have the time, gas, or money to cart me back and forth to work -- which is necessary in order for me to work right now since I do not have a car, and no money to take a TAXI. I have called United Way, St. Vincent DePaul, The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, and the Trustees Office for temporary assistance until ANY job's checks start to come in. They all told me they didn't "have the funds" or they "don't do that" for people. SO...share with me how you got around to and from work when you didn't have a car, bike, scooter, or money to get to those jobs PLEEEZ! I don't mind using my healthy two feet to get to a job IF I can find one close enough (within a mile's walk) to get too. No jobs seem to be within walking distance of the places my family lives in order for me to get back and forth to work. It may seem like I've been "picky" in just job hunting in the nursing area, but this is NOT what I have done. While job hunting this past year, I've appled at non nursing jobs right along with nursing jobs. I've even taken "online personality assessment tests" required by Borders Bookstore to work for them, and no responses from them...went in person to inquire why, and it is all done "from headquarters". That test alone took me 45 minutes to complete. That's just a sample of what I've been putting myself through to land ANY job.

awwwwwww, Renee.... I certainly did not intend to sound "judgemental"... surely you know me better than that by now ! :o (((((((((((hugs))))))))))

I'm so sorry if you took it that way. I know how hard you've been working at this... and I do know that transportation is a major issue, depending on the city/town. community. I was hoping there would be something, ANYTHING within walking distance from where you are staying... that's what I did.

It was a 2 and 1/2 mile walk for me to a local diner where I waitressesd for these small town folk who thought leaving a quarter after breakfast was a big tip. I walked to and from every day... in 20 degree and below weather in the winter with bitter, howling winds... I thought my kneecaps were going to freeze off and I would hear them "clink!" onto the sidewalk below. :uhoh21:

But as you say.. you know best what your layout is where you live, and what's available. I just hate this for you, truly I do.. and I was only trying to throw out some other options. Please forgive me if it sounded like I was throwing off on you. :scrying:

So go ahead and "fish slap" me. :trout:

NETTERS - I will :trout: you for even THINKING I took you as being judgemental. You ALWAYS give GREAT advice, and you do so lovingly and caringly. Sorry if my reply sounded as if I was scolding you. Certainly wasn't doing that. :kiss Of all the good folk here, you are one of my favorites, so please do not ever think I'm thinking "ill" of you. That will NEVER happen! Nada! Nien! The bad part about not being able to hear ourselves talk on here makes it seem like we're misunderstood so many times. I love you. You should know that after all these years. :balloons: :flowersfo :icon_hug: :1luvu:

Okay...gotta go call my sil to come pick me up from the library. I've stayed and played as long as the time restraints allow today. Smooches and hugs to you all. I will keep on keeping on as I have been...not losing hope, or faith. It's all I've got left to believe in right now. :wavey:

Whew ! :D

I'm so glad. Yes, it is difficult at times in cyberspace... easy to be misunderstood, especially when I don't get to use my HANDS to talk !!! :rotfl:

Love you, Renee... wish you a much better week, dear Friend ! :kiss
