Good Morning Dear Friends,

Stephanie how did yesterday go at school after the death of that sweet boy? I kept you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Ended up having a busy day with 6 visits and a possible admission but the Medical Director had not reviewed the paper work before I left the office so if it was a go ahead the on call staff would have taken care of that.

Came home and managed to get my house work taken care of even though I had to pop some pain pills for my painful wrists, just took my time and got that all squared away. I even washed the tiled floors when I came home for lunch so hubby did not have to worry about those.

We gave the dogs a game and then hubby did the weed eating around the house and on the back bank, he will do around the creek beds later today as we plan to head off for a nice hike with the dogs and pack a picnic lunch.

I am looking forward in getting out for some fresh air and release of energy, sadness with all these horrific accidents that have been occurring, I need to refresh my soul.

Many prayers are being said for those that are hurting from loss. Breaks my heart what they are all going through.

I sure pray that your day is kind to you and others, enjoy your time today no matter what you get up to.

Much love to you all.

Morning Sabby hope your wrists feel better.

Don't feel that well this morning, quite tired for some reason. Lots of dreams, which for me means shallow sleep. Not sure why, had more wine than usual last night, perhaps it disrupted my sleep. Nothing else unusual went on.

Going to get outside early today if possible, the weather will be very nice so I figure everyone is going to be outside so it's best to get going early. Going to Indiana tonight, my nephew is in a musical with his school. Will have to make sure my camera is fully charged.

Not much else planned for today. Paid the bills, completed my CEUs and renewed my license yesterday. Will probably get home too late for Svengoolie, but he's showing "Son of Frankenstein" which I've seen before.

Good morning all.

Sabby - it was pretty amazing actually. Folks well-versed in debriefing and grief met with the staff in the library before school started to share how to handle the day. The student's teacher was especially concerned as she couldn't stop crying. I think we did a good job of answering questions and giving them ideas. Some of the folks went with the teachers to class to just be there for them when the teachers started to talk. I stayed in the library as we decided that teachers could send kids to us there who needed more help. It took about 20 minutes and then kids started trickling in. Two of the other trained folks came back and helped me in the library. We each took a table at first but then the kids would stop and listen to the other table and finally they ended up wanting to sit together. I still made sure I was available for the kid who couldn't join the table. I did end up taking one girl outside (we had the door to outside open) and we sat on the grass and I let her talk.

I went back and took out details of what I learned yesterday . . .this is an open bulletin board and I realized the things I'm telling you should be kept private.

I'm sorry about that. I would like to tell the stories. I think you'd all be touched.

Anyway - headed over to different big city for the last AAU Basketball tournament; two games today and one game tomorrow.

It is a gorgeous and sunny and warm day. Gonna enjoy it.

Good day all.

Yesterday went to the Farmers market in "Dutch Country". Enjoyed ourselves. I got my fruits and veggies and a few other things. Walked around in the sun and in the barns and enjoyed the sights and smells. I have wanted to take this trip for a long time and even looked up where I used to work. Everything has changed so much in the 25+ years since I left the area. I practically did not recognize anything except the buildings where I used to work. That has changed little except that it the ownership has changed hands a few times since I left.

Working late today so have the stuffed peppers in the crock pot. Will turn them off when I go to work and allow all the juices to meld.

I won't be home until around 10 pm so it will be a late night.

I am ready to take my power nap and then will be ready to get ready for work. Best check on that last load in the dryer.

Continued prayers for all those in pain, be it physical of other.

I would suggest you use a private group on fb and invite only the people you wish to have included. It can be done by invitation only and each new member must be OKed by the originator. I belong to a couple of such groups and we keep on topic 100% of the time. Anyone who has violated this, (only in one group) has immediately been reminded nicely that the group has a specific purpose and it is not the place for politics or conspiracy theories.

Perhaps you and/or Sabby can organize such a group for either hospice or critical incidents. Just a thought. I know it can be very helpful.

I have two folks from here on FB that I chat with privately so yeah, that does work. And I can talk to Sabby alone which I probably will do later. I'm also a member of a group on FB that is private. Invitation only and yes, stay on topic.

Spent the morning re-arranging the living room. I simply have to do that every few months.

Helped dh get stuff packed into the pickup for a dump run.

I've got the front door open but blocked with a gate so the dogs don't get in. Love airing the house out. Sprinkler going on the lawn as well.

Ate some refried beans and corn tortillas with a decent chopped tomato. Shower and then off to the tournament which is 1.5 hours from here.

We haven't had an exciting Saturday, but it isn't raining or snowing and it's 57 degrees, so that's good. Herb had a registration for fall classes late morning into early afternoon. We did some general cleaning up in the front hall alcove where things tend to accumulate and

even reproduce sometimes -- empty boxes, coat hangers, puffy plastic that comes wrapped around fragile things. Not one useful thing in the bunch! The cats and dogs had a ball "helping!"

I absolutely had to include this ad in the local paper and online. It was simply too good not to share!

On going household sale 00000 __ Park Road. Starting tomorrow. House just before the bridge. Many beautiful things. Also have night crawlers & meal worms until they are gone. Call 000-000-000 for info. :roflmao::speechless:

Good Afternoon -

Steph - My "hat's off to you" for the support you and your team are providing the school and community. I'm also glad to read that you have your own support system here as you work through this horrific event.

It's a lovely day here, today. Amy and I got the outside furniture. . . well. . . outside. LOL! Also cleaned off the grill and later this afternoon we'll do our first "grilling" of the year. Just finished a lovely 3 mile walk, too. Muscles hurt. But feeling a bit more healthy. (Need to walk more often!)

There seems to be lots going on with lots of people here and elsewhere. Peace to all who travel here.

Ted
