Tommy Lasorda, died yesterday. Famous for his coaching expertise and a retired baseball manager EXTRODINAIRE, he lead his Los Angeles Dodgers to multiple pennant & World Series wins. Always a colorful character on the field, esp when he was contesting some umpire call, he was respected in the industry (even the Phillly fandom base, as he was originally from suburban Philadelphia area, Conshohokin area, I think.
