Johnny Crawford, 75 yo, died 4/29 with dx dementia, C19 and then pneumonia.

He was the son, Mark McCain to Chuck Connors on the old cowboy western.

It was odd - I was flipping channels the other day and I momentarily stopped on the 'Rifleman'. I remember because it was one of the very early episodes and he was so young, like a young Opie (Ron Howard). He had been a Mouseketeer in the first season. And had done some TV roles post series.

Not a big western fan, but I usually followed them when I was younger.

Sad to see another 'oldie' pass away.

May he RIP.

I had a big crush on Johnny Crawford, and I had a 33 & 1/3 LP that he made, God only knows when, but he had a nice singing voice.

The one song I remember playing repeatedly?

"In the wee small hours of the morning, when the whole wide world is fast asleep, I lie awake and think about a girl, and never even think of counting sheep. When my lonely heart has learned it's lesson ... I'd be hers, if only she would call ... In the wee small hours of the morning, that's the time I miss her most of all."

Rest in peace, Johnny.

Oh, I do remember Mark McCain. I don't remember any music by him, however.

Lucas and Mark, Andy and Opie .... good ole family entertainment.

RIP, Johnny (Mark)

The snippet I read reported that he did record an album early in his career. Some success. Seems like teen actors did that.
