Thanks for sharing this, Steph.

Sarah Palin was savaged by the media........let there be no doubt about that. She may not have done herself any favors in some instances---Heaven forbid one should be oneself on national television!---but they ripped her to shreds right in front of the entire world. I wouldn't blame her if she wanted to crawl under a rock and hide there for the rest of her life after that experience. Good thing she's got a little more huevos than that. I salute her for it.

Thanks so much for sharing that, Steph.

The media did rip her and her family to shreds in a deplorable manner.

So true what she said about Obama telling the media his family was off-limits. They honored his request, targeting Sarah and her family instead.

What does this say about our society when it is the mudslinging and character assassinations that sell papers and increase TV ratings??????

As much as I dislike Ms. Palin and was truly troubled by her considering herself qualified to fill the VP position, and God forbid that of the President should it become necessary.. I must agree with what is being said here.

Fair is fair.. and some (not ALL), but certainly some of this is/was NOT fair.

And involving family members, children, babies.... never right, never fair. :nono:

I really had to struggle to get through that self-serving whinefest. Sarah Palin was not savaged by the media any more than any other presidential candidate, politician or really popular celebrity for that matter. The Clintons were accused of killing people for God's sake!

She started talking about how the media respected Obama's request to keep families off-limit. That's funny because I remember a whole page referring to his daughters as "nappy-headed ho's" and rumors accusing Michelle of using the word "whitey" were widespread. Everybody took their lumps.

He also defended her and responded that media should respect her family when her daughter came up pregnant. She didn't even mention that. No gratitude whatsoever.

Isn't she the same woman who brought up William Ayers every chance she got? Hypocrite.

As for her daughter and her baby daddy being high school dropouts, well aren't they? Maybe people were less forgiving because they are the party of family values and personal responsibility.

She is not a victim. People took a look and did not like what they saw. It was not Katie Couric's fault and it was not Tina Fey's fault. She needs to act like a grown woman and accept it.

the bold, is what ran through my mind as i watched vicky's video link...

that dang, she's really playing the victim.

as far as journalistic integrity, that is a rare bird these days.

dang, i remember the barrage of attacks that obama took, and most of mccain supporters, who sustained these attacks.

boy, how quickly we forget.

either way, it's foul play.

if palin was so arrogant as to believe that she could have actually pulled off the veep position, then she needs to learn to deal w/public onslaught of attacks and allegations.

no more of this victim mentality.

because no matter who it is in the public light, they all take the beatings that come w/the job description.

time to be a big girl, and deal.:twocents:

I personally think Palin deserved the scrutiny and played the largest part in her own undoing. How long are Republicans going to blame the media without ever looking at themselves.

It's not like they don't have their own pack of wolves with Limbaugh, Hannity, Coulter, O'Reilly and a cast of hundreds of "B" list trash talkers.

Republicans are anything but innocent when it comes to rogue media. To imply otherwise isn't rational. To have a serious debate about this issue, all sides would have to admit their contribution to the dilemma.

This "victim" nonsense is pathetic.

where was that printed? i never saw anything negative about obama's daughters, and i read a lot of "alternative" media.

he also defended her and responded that media should respect her family when her daughter came up pregnant.

i don't believe anyone here accused obama of trashing sarah palin. it is the media's treatment of her and her family that is in question.

isn't she the same woman who brought up william ayers every chance she got? hypocrite.

unless ayers is a minor child, he is fair game. he is a known associate and mentor of obama. comparing scrutiny of an adult who is an outspoken public figure with the invasion of a minor child's privacy is a stretch.
