The Boston Globe did an extensive investigation into Elizabeth Warren's native heritage and concluded it did not influence her career.

So for me the matter is settled. If some want to continue to claim she "gained the system" then I would like to see credible sources, not just video clips. Sean Hannity is not a credible source. He is a Trump toadie, as evidenced by his appearances at campaign events.

As to Medicare for All, there is no chance that is going to come about anytime soon. For profit entities have too much influence, for now.

I do like Warren's views on clean energy, reducing corruption in Washington, and rebuilding the middle class.

Yes, she did " gain the system"

Sorry, my bar is a little higher than a video clip from a Megyn Kelly talk show. And this is no way demonstrates any "gain" from speaking about ones' family lore.

You should sometimes listen to the message comes from someone who does not politically align with us. People are offended. What she did hurt people feelings, and there has been no real understanding from Senator Elizabeth Warren.

I don't agree.

It's a non issue elevated with the intent to create the illusion of scandal necessary to counter the scandalous and corrupt administration of Trump.

This has nothing to do with President Donald Trump and his corrupt administration or any other candidate running for President. This is all Senator Elizabeth Warran. She told a lie the has offended minorities especially Native Americans. There is more to her claiming to be  Native American she contributed to a Native American cookbook and took the recipes from another chef.  She used her "Native American" history to gain the system.

I had a cousin based on the family lore used what we presumed to be our native American heritage to fund his college education.  But didn't have proper documentation and didn't bother.  To me nothing wrong with "working the system for personal gain" if you really think that's your heritage based on what you grew up hearing and you think is true, if the system is there for you to take advantage of.

I get both sides of the issue, but can't really use that as a disqualified for her.

Although I would have more respect for her, that if like myself, if it was proven to be untrue she would simply say "I made a mistake and I'm wrong".

According to CNN, Warren has met with Native American leaders, and has apologized in private for over-stating her ancestry claims.

As part of her campaign reset, Warren addressed the scandal during a speech Monday at a Native American forum in Sioux City.

“I am sorry for harm I have caused. I have listened and I have learned a lot, and I am grateful for the many conversations that we’ve had together,” she said.

What else can we expect?  If people judge her for this that's okay, but it's kind of like "but her emails" a controversy that seems to have been dealt with but that people can't let go of.

She made multiple attempts to culturally appropriate, and now she is back peddling her words.

I had to back peddle when the truth hit me as well and was well into my 50's when the truth was learned and verbalized I was 1/4 Native American my whole life.   It's what happens when faced with the truth.

I do agree that how she handled it back in February the date of the post you're making is different than today.  That might speak to her character and be important to some voters.

For me when deciding who to vote for it's going to be a blip.  It's her stance on social welfare issues and taxation that I'm going to look at.

She is running for President. She has to be scrutinized. This is not the same as the email not even in the same lane.

I 100% agree that she should be scrutinized.  I'm not saying she shouldn't.  She has, and my issue isn't that she's being scrutinized.  My comparison with the email controversy is that people just don't want to let it go and move on past it.  But I can't decide what people get bend out of shape about and what they move on past.  This scandal is almost a year old now.
