  1. It's a two fold action. It may discourage shootings, more so than advertising the place is a "Gun Free Zone" which makes an easy target, and if that doesn't, there is someone trained, already there, to protect students, on a level playing field, in the event of an active shooter. And if your children attended that school you would somehow be more comforted knowing NO ONE was able to protect them the moment the event started?! You would be more okay with a shooter being able to go classroom to classroom for 10 or so minutes until police arrived, rather than 1-2 minutes for the trained officer to reach the shooter? Why does a 17 year old have a gun??? Why is a person shooting people?! Both situations are illegal. What is your point? The gun was obtained illegally.
  2. Why should that only apply to schools? Why not inner cities in general? Why not prisons? Maybe we all need more compassion... That will stop them!

President Trump Plans Meeting to Denuclearize N. Korea

Um, unless you have a different definition for it, duckduckgo says whataboutism is a: "fallacy that attempts to discredit an opponent's position by charging them with hypocrisy without directly refuting or disproving their argument"... So uh, yea. You're arguing you are being civil because of hypocrisy by FOX, which isn't logical in the first place, but also deflecting from what Trump is doing by saying that Obama did the same thing, without ever really talking about the actual subject, which is Trump. So, yea, precisely, whataboutism. Just a list of all the times it has been the other way around: - Trump is ostracized for congratulating Putin for winning election, Obama did it in 2012 - Obama sheltered from people undermining him as the President, happens (being undermined) everyday to Trump, including death threats - The rising economy is instantly credited to Obama, still not sure if it's Trump's economy 18 months later - Decreasing black (and overall) unemployment is a good thing when Obama is President, not even worth scoffing about under Trump - Hillary calling trump supporters deplorables and black men super-predators is celebrated, Trump calling Hillary nasty is sexist - KKK supporting Trump makes him racist and a white supremacist, Hillary supporting KKK members makes her admirable - People accuse Trump of sexual harassment that isn't proven and is called a misogynist, Hillary supporting Bill after lying about ML makes her a champion of women rights - Obama deported more illegal aliens than Trump, but Trump is racist and against immigration while Obama is praised for DACA - Trump and GOP supports DACA with modifications (including accepting more than we are now) with a border wall and is ignored, Democrats whine about DACA without doing anything to help them by working with Trump and GOP, but are hailed heroes - Overwhelming amount of Democrats attack the 2nd Amendment, but don't charge and deport illegal aliens possessing and killing Americans - Overcome with emotions about Russian interference in the election, gleeful when appointing illegal alien to political seat to oversee Americans The list goes on and on.
  4. It's fine if you want to hide behind nice words when a gun is pointed at you, I'd prefer to be able to point a gun back. And, most unsurprisingly, this is not mentioned: Blaine Gaskill: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com "The beauty of Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it." - Unknown, possibly Thomas Jefferson
  5. It's actually fascinating that when inviting the idea of teachers possessing firearms, all of a sudden teachers are shooting up classrooms. Not pushing an agenda or anything... Remember, gun-free zones still exist. They are not outlawed yet.
  6. It was a change in terms, for both organizations to use. The law stated "fugitive from justice", which I guess was up to interpretation. Now it is not. Neither one was breaking the law, and if left, would have been within the law. Where did you get felony warrants in your first post? Past and pending felony charges with warrants would prohibit a person from obtaining a firearm anyways. But yes, I want the current laws to be followed. I don't want new gun laws. People need to follow the current laws. Criminals don't follow the laws. https://www.justice.gov/sites/default/files/usao-ut/legacy/2013/06/03/guncard.pdf

    Release the Memo

If that was the case, why not put Hillary Clinton? We still don't have the FISA application, so I have played by the rules that nothing is true unless there is evidence, so you can't definitely say it said "was looking for information that could be used to discredit the (Trump) campaign". Additionally, it could have been anyone doing paying for that, but that a political candidate was funding a foreign entity for potential political gains. That's illegal, just as DJT Jr. was chastised for trying to do the same, but was unsuccessful. The difference is DJT Jr.s came up empty, HRC came up with fake evidence and used the FBI for her small political gain. One is stupid, one is criminal conspiracy to the republic. Additionally, Schiff doesn't dispute a lot of the original memo itself, so are we calling everything he didn't dispute true?

President Trump Plans Meeting to Denuclearize N. Korea

Or work harder? Sanctions that could have been put in place, including forcing China's hand. Being active in the issue even when you feel you are at a standstill, not giving up after failure. You know, the usual things that happen in the past when you see a person succeed.

President Trump Plans Meeting to Denuclearize N. Korea

When did who "pan" Obama? Obama wanted to sign in humanitarian deals with NK, if he were worried about denuclearization, he wouldn't have pressed that issue. NK is a dictatorship, you either can deal with that and denuclearize or call the deal off because Kim is mean. The answer should be clear. Ensure the safety of American's first. Arn't you falling for your own "whataboutism" bull ****? We aren't talking about what Obama did or, in this case, didn't do, we are talking about what Trump is doing and will do - meet with North Korea to denuclearize. If you're laughing at me since I am apparently "titillated by their nonsense", for one you might have a perverted mind, for two, you are attacking for political beliefs rather than the issue at hand, and three talks of Trump meeting NK on denuclearization is not nonsense, it most certainly does make sense that this is reported on as it is an issue that has extended for decades.
  10. Or he is listening to his base... You know, the people who voted for him. Just as many Democrats scream for DACA, because the people voting for them support DACA. Or are the Democrats afraid of the NILC?

President Trump Plans Meeting to Denuclearize N. Korea

So might denuclearize, but primarily a fool. It's obvious where the priority lies, sadly enough.

President Trump Plans Meeting to Denuclearize N. Korea

Wow. You must watch a lot of movies... Tell me how a meeting would mean "legitimizing the regime"? I think the world has already done that by acknowledging North Korea a country and Kim, as their dictator. That pretty much "legitimizes" the regime. Otherwise, how are we NOT legitimizing the regime? By ignoring them, having them do the same things for decades? To meet to discuss ways to denuclearize the country, effectively, if it happens, makes North Korea less powerful, worldwide. It would have nothing to do with what North Korea does, whether wrong or right, within their own country - i.e. feed their people.
