Still lots of rain in the Blue Grass.
Not constant. But sporadic, like in FL. And it is so humid here!
My appointment with the hand surgeon, didn't go the way I hoped.
He entered the room, and I said: You were wrong! My carpal tunnel is mild, and I won't need surgery.
He took a deep breath, and explained the EMG is not definitive, and did some simple strength tests, and I admitted I drop a lot of things with my right hand, and have noticed weakness in that hand.
So, I ended up getting yet another steroid injection, this time in my wrist.
When I am ready, I will do surgery.
I told the surgeon he spoiled my day. We were just going to chat and catch up, and I was going to be on my way!
The interesting thing he shared with me, is that when he does carpal tunnel surgery at the VA, he makes a smaller incision, and the patient doesn't need to wear splints, during recovery.
But he is NOT allowed to do that surgery that way, at UK, because it is more expensive.
Nice.
When I am ready, I will have to apply for FMLA, as we don't have sick time, just PTO, and I will miss at least two weekend shifts.
I have to protect my weekend spot and pay!
And I will have to hire out Biggie chores, because it won't be possible to clean his stall, etc, while recovering.
There is a long-haired, homeless cat living near the parking lot by my apartment.
I have befriended him enough, that he let me pet him yesterday.
My goal is to snatch him, take him to the vet, and have him live with me and Wally.
He will be very pretty, once the pet groomer gets to work on him.
Poor little thing.
I can see three mats in his hair. I felt more.
Hope work is fun and easy, Tweety.
Hope everybody has a good day.
