    Presidential Election 2020

DJT would just say they were using loopholes available to them, herring. I call it gaming the system, and dishonest.

I NEVER said that Capitalism is to blame for homelessness. I DID state, that it is ONE of the factors responsible for homelessness. Did you read the Times article, about INVESTORS driving up the price of houses, and thus, keeping average buyers shut out of the market? Yes, Capitalism is a contributing factor.

When They See Us and Donald Trump

It is easy enough to go back and read Trump's words. He called for the execution, of five innocent young men. Disgusting and deplorable. Yet, we have witnessed so many times in our country's history, Whites engaged in the same type of deplorable words and actions directed at Blacks. Of course, I understand it is a common tactic among the Right, to absolve Trump of his deplorable behavior, while blaming others, including the media.

The Trump tax scheme was a redistribution of wealth. Did you think of it as a "Liberal" plan?

Stars, can you call the Neuro-Spine center? I would call because the computer is lying to you!!!! All computers lie. I had short conversation with the recruiter's account manager. She said they might be able to pump up pay slightly. The benefits are not great. No 401k, of course. Health insurance is high deductible plan. Great work, but highly doubt I can afford to take the job. I would probably still have to do one shift a week as an RN, at bedside. We will see. I applied for two other positions yesterday. One is with KY Dept. Of Justice, at juvenile detention center.

I know you are well versed in how to use the Internet, so I will not insult you by spoon feeding you information. Again, if you are TRULY interested in the problem, check out the platforms of Sanders and Warren. If you are not TRULY interested, please continue the spin.

    Presidential Election 2020

Just another typical Trump pep rally, complete with attendees assaulting a member of the press. From today's NY Post: Trump Supporter Arrested At Rally For Slapping Reporter's Hand It should be noted that the Trumpster also threatened to kick the reporter in the testicles. And the arresting officer, stated the Trumpster reeked of alcohol. Yeah, I would have to be drunk too, in order to attend a Trump rally.

You know what else is driving homelessness? Capitalism. Yes, good old-fashioned Capitalism. The same villain that ushered in the opioid crisis, via big Pharma lying about OxyContin, fuels the housing crisis. From today's NY Times: Want A House Like This? Prepare For A Bidding War With Investors

Still lots of rain in the Blue Grass. Not constant. But sporadic, like in FL. And it is so humid here! My appointment with the hand surgeon, didn't go the way I hoped. He entered the room, and I said: You were wrong! My carpal tunnel is mild, and I won't need surgery. He took a deep breath, and explained the EMG is not definitive, and did some simple strength tests, and I admitted I drop a lot of things with my right hand, and have noticed weakness in that hand. So, I ended up getting yet another steroid injection, this time in my wrist. When I am ready, I will do surgery. I told the surgeon he spoiled my day. We were just going to chat and catch up, and I was going to be on my way! The interesting thing he shared with me, is that when he does carpal tunnel surgery at the VA, he makes a smaller incision, and the patient doesn't need to wear splints, during recovery. But he is NOT allowed to do that surgery that way, at UK, because it is more expensive. Nice. When I am ready, I will have to apply for FMLA, as we don't have sick time, just PTO, and I will miss at least two weekend shifts. I have to protect my weekend spot and pay! And I will have to hire out Biggie chores, because it won't be possible to clean his stall, etc, while recovering. There is a long-haired, homeless cat living near the parking lot by my apartment. I have befriended him enough, that he let me pet him yesterday. My goal is to snatch him, take him to the vet, and have him live with me and Wally. He will be very pretty, once the pet groomer gets to work on him. Poor little thing. I can see three mats in his hair. I felt more. Hope work is fun and easy, Tweety. Hope everybody has a good day.

    Presidential Election 2020

As I stated, STOP GAP measure, which does indeed help, but not cure the problem. That is where Trump and Congress need to step in with real ideas to combat income inequality. But as already noted by you and me, other than redistributing wealth to the already wealthy, neither Trump nor the GOP has put forth any idea. Running on empty tanks. That was evident by the pep rally on Tuesday night. Same old tired themes: Fake media, bad Democrats, Hillary Clinton, and the real old standby; migrants. Trumpsters sure do enjoy repetition!

    Presidential Election 2020

You can always tell when Trumpsters are having a bad day. They rage about unimportant things, like the median price of a home in Odessa, TX. I guess the jubilation over Tuesday night's pep rally is wearing off. Maybe they are waking up to the realization that Trump lied when he promised them ICE will remove millions of migrants from the US. The truth is, ICE doesn't have the ability to deport that many people at once. Poor things. Lied to again!

    Presidential Election 2020

How about these stats, because yours are wrong! Let me help you out, according to Sperling's Best Places To Live, there is a lot of crime going on in little Odessa, TX. On a scale of 1 to 100, with 1 being low, the violent crime rate in Odessa, is 45.8. The average in the US is 22.7. Property crime is even worse! The US average is 35.4. In Odessa, the rate is 50.2. The unemployment rate they have listed, is a bit higher than your unsubstantiated number, at 2.7%. And the median home price, is also higher, than your unsubstantiated number, at $169,300. Yes, aren't stats a wonderful thing! Very glad I could help.

    Presidential Election 2020

Welcome! I love reading that Odessa, TX is the new NYC! Gee, I thought it was only famous for Friday Night Lights. Btw, I didn't "disparage," any of those places. I merely pointed out the obvious, and that is LA, NYC, SF, and Boston, are more sought after locations. Growth is pretty meaningless in the sense that you used the word. The small, rural city I live in, is one of the fastest growing in KY. So what. More people would still rather live in Louisville or Lexington. But those areas are expensive. So, so, sorry you were offended.

    Presidential Election 2020

It is as I thought; Trump has an empty tank. No ideas. One, very simple stop gap measure, would be to increase the Federal Minimum Wage. Such a proposal should receive bi-partisan support, as we all know no can survive on $7.25 an hour. But what happens, each time legislation is introduced to raise that minimum wage? Republicans throw a hissy fit, don't they? Looks like anybody who seriously cares about the issues of homelessness and inequality, must vote for a Democrat.
