    Impeachment

The Public Hearing: Day 1 I thought that these men gave credible testimony and set a foundation for establishing how bribery and extortion are not in the least ok and are not part of customary diplomacy.

Rep. Duncan Hunter Says he will Plead Guilty

That seems to be a pattern for republicans. Gaetz, Nunes, Jordan...liars and jerks. Edited to include Pompeo, Mulvaney, and McConnell...liars and jerks the lot.

Conservative christian Americans support and defend him. My family in this category won't believe any of the uncomfortable truths about Trump's corruption because they aren't included in their Fox or christian radio programming. They condone his behavior from a position of ignorance and gullibility.

Rep. Duncan Hunter Says he will Plead Guilty

The Party of Crooks and Crime Lawlessness comes in handy when subverting a democracy. Trump is identifying his military coalition as we speak.

And the fellow who tweeted an image with his head on Rocky Balboa's body just made an excuse to stay out of the ring and not even send the team to the ring corner. He's a real fighter, ladies and gentleman. In this match, Trump is the out of shape boxer depending upon absorbing the body blows until his drunk and belligerent throw enough trash into the ring that the fight is stopped. Let's rumble! Ding

Barr Disputes IG Findings Of course he did. It's not what the Boss wants so... Barr needs to maintain that there was not enough evidence to justify an FBI investigation into Russian interference in our 2016 election. There is a pattern, among Trump apologists, of spreading Russian nonsense.

My mind was blown in 2016. Now I'm just sad that so many Americans have chosen ignorance and propaganda over uncomfortable truths. Conservatives have been told, by their media outlets, and now by their president, that liberals are the enemy - the press is the enemy. Conservatives are now so conditioned to believe this that they cannot even imagine a scenario where Trump is anything but a victim of some deep state plot to blah, blah, blah.

From the looks of the Sunday news programs, most of the congressional republicans have no integrity. Or shame. What should we call it when members of Congress actively spread Russian propaganda in defense of the lies and corruption of one man?

Their agenda apparently includes a March toward facism with the most corrupt and incompetent cabinet in the history of the country. It also includes scores of bench positions, held by Republican leadership from liberal appointments. Some of those judges aren't even qualified beyond their misogyny and lack of judicial experience. Then there's the long been the Republican agenda to reduce the tax rates for the wealthiest while eliminating services and spending on the poorest of We The People while busily reducing the ability of millions to vote. In my view, the most amazing thing Trump accomplished is getting the religious right to publicly embrace a habitual liar and cheat. It's interesting to watch and hear them tell us that he is born again when not one thing about the man's public words or life reflect a love for God. Not one thing. Seems like maybe there's some NT scripture that they need to review about what faith looks like.

He literally funded his opponents campaign with his persistent regurgitation of Russian propaganda and meaningless nonsense during a televised congressional hearing. He, like so many republicans forget that most Americans do not support anything about this corrupt Liar in Chief.

Goons from the ICE. "Paper chase" was established in 2015 and intensified efforts to deport after Trump's inauguration. I'll just cut to the chase and remind you that I am not a fan of ICE regardless who the president is.

That's a sad statement. I haven't been paying much attention to that sort of reporting, do you have a source? I hope that people are paying attention because it is clearly laid out that Trump used his personal attorney to pressure the Ukrainian president to provide something of political value to Trump, and he withheld military aid until it became known that it was delayed for political reasons. It was widely known, as the ambassador testified under oath.

Perhaps Trump's presidency IS the Russia hoax that we hear about regularly. The fellow certainly projects his weakness and failures enough to make the idea plausible.

Meanwhile, the opening statements for today's hearing has set a stage as Ms Hill asks the republicans to not engage her in questions about the Russia friendly conspiracy theories that they have been propping up. This is going to be interesting.

You are welcome to depend upon clips to form your opinion. I watched and listened to the entire proceeding. Sondland provided damaging testimony when he stated very clearly that the aid was conditioned upon Ukraine announcing that they were investigating the Bidens. Everyone was in the loop.

How embarrassing for republicans and the Trump defense. Once again they were unsuccessful in damaging the reputation or credibility of the Patriots who are testifying as to what they heard and saw and why they were concerned about the appearance of corruption. The only appearance of corruption that republicans are concerned about is historical and deeply intertwined with right wing conspiracy theory. They seemingly aren't at all concerned about any contemporary appearance of or actual corruption. Nunes and Jordan continue in their efforts to violate the rights to anonymity that are afforded the whistleblower by law. Are they that desperate to smear and threaten another patriot in defense of a liar and conman that they will openly break whistleblower laws? The answer to that is yes. Laws are irrelevant to today's republican unless those laws control the behavior of others in ways to benefit the republicans.
