  1. 1) I learned that you should definitely open every single piece of mail that comes to your house. Because it just might be (on Monday) a notification from a job you left over 20 years ago telling you that due to changes in the pension law, you have $3752 sitting in their clutches, waiting to be claimed. Or it could be (on Thursday) ANOTHER job with a similar message about $7k!

Never contributed a dime to either as I recall, being young and stupid at the time.

    2) If you accept low census, unpaid time off four times in one pay period- AND you only work four days per pay period, your paycheck will not happen.

    3) I learned that you never really know about life. Or death. Or the future.

  2. We don't do your homework for you. What have you found out so far? But you can go to the librarian at school and ask her to show you how to use CINAHL. Or perhaps she can do an interlibrary loan thing to the library where klone is, and when you have their URL you can hack into their HVAC system and make them evacuate the place. Or something. :)

NETY!!!!!!!! Oh, wait, how old are you?

  3. Not sure I can wait six hours for an answer to my question:

I'm a 60 year old grandmother and I'm thinking of financing the final semester of my DNP program by camodeling. I need links to peer-reviewed journals with evidence as to whether this is a good idea or not.

    wrong soap!! :)

All My Children, back in the 70s. Cop (Phil) gets shot. Rushed into surgery. He's laying on the table and a GLASS BOTTLE of 'blood' is dripping, dripping, dripping. Follow the tubing and it is being infused into his NOSE!

  5. All of this- and those who write one continuous sentence without punctuation or capitalization. :(

And no, I'm not a Grammar Nazi - but I did home school my four children for twenty-five years and appreciate the English language, properly written and spoken.

  6. As someone who watched a friend's husband and father of nine die of lung cancer - after using 'square wave therapy' - this topic hits home. I never cease to be amazed at the people who will not have anything to do with 'modern medicine' because of some conspiracy theory. But boy howdy, break their leg and where do they come for help?
