Anyone interested in a prayer thread?

well he is doing better. still waiting on the swallow study to see why he asperates when he tries to eat and they are planning to send him to a nursing home to rehab after release from the hospital. Not sure if it would be a nursing home but that is what the wife called it. a rehab facility makes more sense to me but I am going with what she told me.

Anyone interested in a prayer thread?

Hey guys, A woman who works at my school cafe, who I became friends with needs prayers, as does her husband. About 1.5 months ago he got into a minor car accident and bumped his head, just hard enough to pop a lens out of his glasses. Two days later at work he passed out and it was found on CT examination that he had blood clots in his brain. His neurologist said they were going to wait a month and see if they dissolved by themselves. Well 3 weeks or so ago he had a second MRI and they had increased in size. He was sent to a neurosurgeon to determine what was going to be done. The doctor gave him something that he hoped would help the clots dissolve. About a week later he got into a very serious accident. He was air lifted to one of the major hospitals in the city, and was in the ICU for days. He had bleeding in the brain, internal bleeding, broken ribs, bruised lungs, had a chest tube and feedings through an NG tube. He was conscious but groggy (probably from the meds I reckon). He is doing better, he got the chest tube out yesterday and his nurse and PT got him up today and he sat for a while in a chair in the hall by the nurses station. He is still being fed through a tube in his nose (as the wife put it, I am assuming an NG tube?). Because he aspirates if he eats. He either had a swallow study and endoscopy done today or is tomorrow, she was not exactly sure. He also has epilepsy his wife thinks is why he got into the second accident. She said she reckons he either had a seizure (he has petite mal type) or passed out. She had been concerned about the blood clots because as she put it, he was having a warped sense of perception. She gave the example of they would be coming to a stop sign and she would say, "Honey you should be stopping" his response would be "I am" but only then would he begin to. Additionally he is somewhere between the ages of 60 and 75 I am not exactly sure of the exact age but know it is somewhere in there. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him, and it is really hard on his wife, especially because she does not drive so it is very difficult for her to get in to the hospital to see him, to get there by public transport it takes 2 busses and 2 trains and takes approximately 2 hours. The wife is VERY stressed out. I spoke with her for the first time today. It happened last Tuesday but I took some time before I called because, well I had no idea what to say to her at all. So if you guys could pray that would be great.

Anyone interested in a prayer thread?

I am feeling better today. It just had me freaked out cuz I had the meds all by 2 and at 11:50 I was still feeling the effects...lol. But all good now. Just gonna be careful from now on I figure it was because I took albuteral at 12 and 1:15 I just reread it and the 1:30 dose of "albuterol" was actually ritalin no idea what happened with my brain there and I had taken that dose 20 minutes early because I would not have been able to take it then he gave me the local at 1:45 it was just to much in a short period of time

Well today was a bad day but due to outside factors :-/ Took albuteral at noon then again at 1:15 (which my doc has said is ok to do once in a while not a big deal) Then at 1:30 it was time for my albuteral. at 1:45 I was in the dentist chair and he injected septocaine (which contains epi). a few minutes later i was pointing at something and he asked me why i was shaking, i told him about the other meds, he then told me the the local he had used also increases heart rate and I should have told him, i seemed ok and we kept going. We finished everything we were going to do. I get back to the CVS near my school and I needed some things, so I went in decided to do the self bp machine cuz i didnt feel right, 3 hours after the last med had been administered, my hr was at 150!!!!! so my heart must have been going super fast right after. I am doing better now, still dont feel great, heart is still going a bit fast but I think that is just because of the huge combo of drugs that all increase hr in such a short period of time. Please just pray that when I wake up in the morning my heart has slowed again, it really is not a comfortable feeling to have it go crazy like this, not at all!

Well I am getting better. I went to the ER for the concussion on Sunday cuz I had not been yet. They did a CT and there was no bleed or anything so they said just take it easy. Ya right a college student take it easy. Well I am revovering anyway so taht is a good thing

I need prayers right now. 11 days ago I was seen in the ER by order of my doc due to slured speech and word recall issues. 4 days ago I was taken to the ER by ambulance due to tremors in my arms, and it turns out dehydration and a pulse of 220 today I got a concussion it has been a rough couple of weeks so if I could get prayers that everything is ok, they still dont know what happened with either event and it is getting annoying
