What is your favorite Bible verse?

[h=1]I just love this story! No judgement on race, religion, politics, sex, or nationality...just true kindness for another human-being. I read this story and it makes me question how I live my life. I want to be more like the good samaritan! Luke 10:30-37New International Version (NIV)[/h]30 In reply Jesus said: 'A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,' he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.' 36 'Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” 37 The expert in the law replied, 'The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, 'Go and do likewise.”

The politics of pregnancy, abortion, and women's reproductive health.

What happens if a woman develops cancer and is pregnant? Do you think it would be wrong to end the pregnancy if both the baby and mother are in danger? It's easy to state your opinion if you are not the one having the experience. So really think about it if it were you or your daughter. I just want to know your thoughts on this.

    Help with Acne

Giving an update. I've been using the Purity Philosophy cleanser for everyday use and Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser & Mask for when I have a break out. This regimen has been working pretty well because it's not drying my skin out. Putting all those chemicals on my face make it worse.

What books have you been reading?

I came across this on Pinterest and remember reading it for Spanish class. It's awesome. In the Time of the Butterflies (En el Tiempo de las Mariposas) "It is November 25, 1960, and three beautiful sisters have been found near their wrecked Jeep at the bottom of a 150-foot cliff on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The official state newspaper reports their deaths as accidental. It does not mention that a fourth sister lives. Nor does it explain that the sisters were among the leading opponents of Gen. Rafael Leonidas Trujillo's dictatorship. It doesn't have to. Everybody knows of Las Mariposas--"The Butterflies." In this extraordinary novel, the voices of all four sisters--Minerva, Patria, María Teresa, and the survivor, Dedé--speak across the decades to tell their own stories, from hair ribbons and secret crushes to gunrunning and prison torture, and to describe the everyday horrors of life under Trujillo's rule. Through the art and magic of Julia Alvarez's imagination, the martyred Butterflies live again in this novel of courage and love, and the human cost of political oppression. "

Do you, or would you ever, own a motorcycle?

Motorcycles look nice, but I will never ride one (rode once..didn't like)! I prefer 4 wheels, restraints, and airbags. I've heard too many deadly crash stories involving motorcycles! Seeing someone on one makes me nervous, especially in bad weather.

    Question for atheist/anti-theist nurses

I don't think the OP intended for this thread to become an online religious war. She asked for help with her situation.

    Question for atheist/anti-theist nurses

My response, for the OP by the way, was to share my opinion. I think it would be wrong for people to judge her on her beliefs, and I was explaining WHY some religious/spiritual people MIGHT do that. It's because they believe in God and think of Him as giving so much to us. I thought my response was appropriate and respectful. You called people who believe in a higher power morons. That is disrespectful and I would consider that bigotry. Did I say, "Atheist are morons bc how can something come from nothing?" No, I didn't share that type of attitude. You did. I don't feel the need to tell people they are wrong with their beliefs because I am comfortable and at peace with my own.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Matthew 25:35-40 (New International Version) For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Luke 6:27 “But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
