10/10 What I learned this week

Lol I could never get going on LOTR but apparently HP is worth reading so I'll probably do that. Stephen King or John Saul is more my taste.

10/10 What I learned this week

I have not read LOTR or HP. Am I missing out?

10/10 What I learned this week

I've learned that making my interests known at work may just pay off. I'm considering accepting an educator position. More fun, less stress too.

    ixchel's What I Learned This Week 10/3...

I've learned that the older I get, I need more sleep. I've learned that there are so many Stephen King books I have not read.

9/12 What I learned this week......

Cake, twizzlers and iced tea. Breakfast of champions! I cannot go more than three days without sugar. Fruit doesn't cut it, either.

9/12 What I learned this week......

I've learned that stats just may ruin my GPA. I'm good at math too, but me and stats don't get along. Probability in particular. I do not like you!

9/12 What I learned this week......

I learned the importance of documentation this week when a patient complained about my unit. I learned how important my AN family is. Lol I'm sure cock or Dick is allowed....there's more than one meaning and I'm sure we can all use some humour to lighten the mood of this day.

    Breast implants as a nurse

That's great! I had A LOT of pain and swelling the first week. Ate my percocets like candy that first week with minimal effect. But the surgical procedures are more advanced than they were 14 years ago.

    Breast implants as a nurse

I have breast implants but it's been so long that I don't even think about it. I had the operation in 2001: I went from a B to a D cup. I finished nursing school in 2010. I remember taking a week off from work. You're on painkillers and you are restricted from any lifting. I think it took about 6-8 weeks to fully recover. I had no vest or drains, but some people do. Depends whether you go under or over the muscle and where the incision is.

    The "I'm running away" thread

I would go to Asia and go back to school. Probably find a PRN job and work when I felt like it. Maybe start an outreach program for seniors.

    Do you work out regularly?

@RNewbie: I work nights. I pack granola, cheese strings, oatmeal and fruit. I also make the time to cook healthy meals on my days off, enough for work. Those unhealthy snacks will soon catch up with you, especially on nights.

    Do you work out regularly?

Before I was a nurse, I worked out religiously 5-6 days a week at a gym. Now I don't have the time, but I have equipment at home, so I do yoga and pilates 3 days a week for 25 min. I find exercising boosts my moods and helps me sleep.

    Raspberry ketones

I have tried raspberry ketones. They will work, but only to give you an extra boost in shedding fat. You still need to limit calories, eat a balanced diet and exercise regularly. The pills in themselves won't work effectively if you aren't on the right path.
