My apologies, but I’m not completely understanding your well- thought out response. Isn’t there a great demand for child-care? And that is why it’s so expensive? And so you say wages should go up? But they are not. I guess I don’t see the answer to my question. In your opinion, where do you think all the money is going?
I see society values our children every time I go to work. Our children’s hospital is relatively new, and I’m sure there are a handful of others equal, but I can’t imagine there is a more physically beautiful hospital anywhere thanks to many donations from the community.
We also offer every medical service you could imagine to a multistage region. This includes lifestyle medicine and a medical day school for medically complex kids. I could go on and on.
All this is heavily supported by donations from the community, from kids making money from their lemonade stand to the most wealthy people in the area.
A radio station last week had a telethon and raised $1.3 million for our hospital in 24 hours.
Of course our society values children. I guess it’s all in how one views the world, imo.
