  1. I also love Elton John's "Step Into Christmas" and Emerson, Lake and Palmer's "I Believe in Father Christmas" .
  2. Remember the version of "Jingle Bells" with the barking dogs? That always cracked me up. I DO NOT like "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" ! Very disturbing. I love Wham!'s "Last Christmas". :) Also love Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas", and John Lennon's "Happy Christmas (War is Over) " makes me cry, every time. I could go on and on !

What Song Are You Listening To Right Now?

I heard "Last Christmas", by Wham! today....so incredibly sad that George Michael is gone. Such a beautiful man, such a beautiful voice.

    American Tourists

Grumpy, I love your posts, and you are never , ever, rude. And you're right...Americans are known to be rude/loud/obnoxious tourists. My lovely family who live "across the pond" have told many stories of rude Americans! I promise I am a polite, respectful, quiet American tourist; that lesson was taught to me early, and often, by my sweet mother. During a long cab (taxi) ride in Paris, my friend and I had quite the discussion with our driver; we discussed many things... racism, politics, the importance of family, etc. It began when I asked where he was from (Africa) and if he had family in Paris. When we reached the train station, the driver said "You are the lovliest, most sincere Americans I've ever met." It still warms my heart. Hope to get back to your lovely part of the world soon!

I also like going to the dentist! And I love the little toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss they give you, as well as the new toothbrush!

    Welcome Back, 5/25/17

Was it "Dirty Dancing" ? I really enjoyed it, but didn't talk to anyone else who cared for it very much! Also, it made me sad (all over again) to think about Patrick Swayze's death. He was so perfect as Johnny!

    Casper the Friendly Ghost

Oh, Esme, ((((hugs)))) I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet baby. I remember when you got home from the hospital, & you posted the picture of her, with her head on your hand. You were trying to do something & she wasn't having it, she kept laying her head on your hand ! I have always loved her pictures.....such a beautiful baby. So, so sorry for your loss.

Same here ! We had a huge march in my city; most of my co-workers were there, several with their daughters, which was especially poignant to me. I saw my mother and her sisters protest the Vietman war, support women's rights, and advocate for equality. Now I see these young sisters marching alongside their mothers and grandmothers. It was beautiful. ETA: Tweety, what you said about why you are marching made me cry. Thank you !
