I'm not using anything like a patch or nicorette. I actually tried nicorette and it upset my stomach. I actually had planned on quitting 10 days ago, and I thought, "I'll just smoke one more pack". I was studying the lymphatic system, and I opened up my book and it went right to a diseased lung page right after I'd had that thought. Then it occurred to me that I was being irrational, and it was just the addiction making me want to smoke, not actually me since I've wanted to quit for so long. Now I've been smoke free for 10 days!
Another thing I've been doing is keeping my hands busy. I know everyone says that, but what do you do? I decided I would start working on my toenails and give myself a pedicure every night. I also keep my fingernails filed down really nicely. Another thing that keeps your hands busy is oranges. They are a great snack and fill you up, and plus they take FOREVER to peel!!!:)
